It is proved that algebraic and topological K-functors are isomorphic on the category of stable generalized operator algebras which are K _i -regular for all i > 0.     

Study of the Influence of Nonequilibrium Dielectric-Barrier Discharge Plasma on the Valence State of Transition Metals in Aqueous Solutions

The effect of dielectric-barrier discharge plasma treatment on the valence state of metal ions in aqueous solutions of manganese, iron, cobalt, and nickel (Mn, Fe, Co, Ni) salts has been studied. The efficiency of recovery of sparingly soluble compounds of transition metals during the treatment of model solutions in a plasma reactor designed by the authors has been evaluated. The possibility of hydrogen peroxide formation in water by barrier discharge treatment has been shown, and the change in the redox potential of the system has been analyzed.     

On a Class of Covariance Operators

This paper is the continuation of [1] in which complex symmetries of distributions and their covariance operators are investigated. Here we also study the most general quaternion symmetries of random vectors. Complete classification theorems on these symmetries are proved in terms of covariance operator spectra.     

Categorical interpretations of some key agreement protocols

We give interpretations of some known key agreement protocols in the framework of category theory and in this way we propose a method of constructing of many new key agreement protocols.     

On the Universal C*-Algebra Generated by a Partial Isometry

A universal C*-algebra is constructed which is generated by a partial isometry. Using grading on this algebra we construct an analog of Cuntz algebras which gives a homotopical interpretation of KK-groups. It is proved that this algebra is homotopy equivalent up to stabilization by 2×2 matrices to M ₂(C). Therefore those algebras are KK-isomorphic.     

Raising the Efficiency of Electroflotation Extraction of Metals in Multicomponent Systems from Aqueous Media

Specific features of the electroflotation extraction of hydroxides of nonferrous metals (Cu²⁺, Ni²⁺, Zn²⁺, Cr³⁺, Fe³⁺) from a five-component system in the presence of sodium sulfate as supporting electrolyte were examined. The fundamental aspects of the extraction process upon introduction into the system of surfactants of varied nature and flocculants were determined. It was shown that addition of a nonionogenic flocculant N-300 makes it possible to raise the efficiency and stabilize the process of the electroflotation extraction of difficultly soluble metal hydroxides contained in multicomponent systems from wastewater formed in various galvanic shops, with the degrees of extraction possibly reaching a value of 97%.     

Localisation and colocalisation of KK-theory

The localisation of an R-linear triangulated category T\mathcal{T} at S ⁻¹ R for a multiplicatively closed subset S is again triangulated, and related to the original category by a long exact sequence involving a version of T\mathcal{T} with coefficients in S ⁻¹ R/R. We examine these theories and, under some assumptions, write the latter as an inductive limit of T\mathcal{T} with torsion coefficients. Our main application is the case where T\mathcal{T} is equivariant bivariant K-theory and R the ring of integers.
