THE PROBLEM OF LIMIT CYCLES FOR A LIENARD TYPE CUBIC SYSTEM

The purpose of this paper is to study a general Lienard type cubic system with one antisaddle and two saddles. We give some results of the existence and uniqueness of limit cycles as well as the evolution of limit cycles around the antisaddle for system (2) in the following when parameter a1 changes.

Characterization of graphs with infinite cyclic edge connectivity

In this paper, we characterize the graphs with infinite cyclic edge connectivity. Then we design an efficient algorithm to determine whether a graph has finite cyclic edge connectivity or infinite cyclic edge connectivity.     

N-extendability of symmetric graphs

It is proved that a cyclically (k ? 1)(2n ? 1)-edge-connected edge transitive k-regular graph with even order is n-extendable, where k ≥ 3 and k ? 1 ≥ n ≥ ?(k + 1)/2?. The bound of cyclic edge connectivity is sharp when k = 3. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

The role of short exchange length in the magnetization processes of L10-ordered FePt perpendicular media

A three-dimensional micromagnetic model with non-uniform grain size distribution has been built up to study the magnetization process in FePt L1₀ perpendicular media. A 3D model of a single FePt magnetic grain is also set up for comparison. The high magneto-crystalline anisotropy K_u results in a short exchange length l_ex in FePt nanograins. Therefore a magnetic grain is divided into smaller grids on the order of l_ex. The simulated perpendicular and longitudinal loops are consistent with experiments, and it is explained why the measured perpendicular H_c is relatively smaller compared with the saturation field of the longitudinal loop in the FePt perpendicular medium.     

Graphs with no M-alternating path between two vertices

Let G be a graph with a perfect matching M. In this paper, we prove two theorems to characterize the graph G in which there is no M-alternating path between two vertices x and y in G.
