We present a fuzzy quasi-metric version of the Banach contraction principle, which constitutes an extension of the famous Grabiec fixed point theorem. By using this result we show the existence of fixed point for contraction mappings on the domain of words when it is endowed with certain fuzzy quasi-metrics of Baire type. We apply this approach to deduce the existence of solution for some recurrence equations associated to the analysis of Quicksort algorithms and Divide & Conquer algorithms, respectively.  相似文献

V. Gregori and S. Romaguera [17] obtained an example of a fuzzy metric space (in the sense of A. George and P. Veeramani) that is not completable, i.e. it is not isometric to a dense subspace of any complete fuzzy metric space; therefore, and contrary to the classical case, there exist quiet fuzzy quasi-metric spaces that are not bicompletable neither D-completable, via (quasi-)isometries. In this paper we show that, nevertheless, it is possible to obtain solutions to the problem of completion of fuzzy quasi-metric spaces by using quasi-uniform isomorphisms instead of (quasi-)isometries. Such solutions are deduced from a general method, given here, to obtain extension properties of fuzzy quasi-metric spaces from the corresponding ones of the classical theory of quasi-uniform and quasi-metric spaces.  相似文献

Examples of fuzzy metrics and applications   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this paper we present new examples of fuzzy metrics in the sense of George and Veeramani. The examples have been classified attending to their construction and most of the well-known fuzzy metrics are particular cases of those given here. In particular, novel fuzzy metrics, by means of fuzzy and classical metrics and certain special types of functions, are introduced. We also give an extension theorem for two fuzzy metrics that agree in its nonempty intersection. Finally, we give an application of this type of fuzzy metrics to color image processing. We propose a fuzzy metric that simultaneously takes into account two different distance criteria between color image pixels and we use this fuzzy metric to filter noisy images, obtaining promising results. This application is also illustrative of how fuzzy metrics can be used in other engineering problems.  相似文献

The concept of p-convergence in fuzzy metric spaces, in George and Veeramani's sense, has been recently given by D. Mihet in [D. Mihet, On fuzzy contractive mappings in fuzzy metric spaces, Fuzzy Sets and Systems 158 (2007) 915-921]. In this note we study some aspects relative to this concept and characterize those fuzzy metric spaces, that we call principal, in which the family of p-convergent sequences agrees with the family of convergent sequences. Also a non-completable fuzzy metric space, which is not principal, is given.  相似文献
