The diversity of products in the reaction of diethyl azodicarboxylate (DEAD)/diisopropyl azodicarboxylate (DIAD) and activated acetylenes with PIII compounds bearing oxygen or nitrogen substituents is discussed. New findings that are useful in understanding the nature of intermediates involved in the Mitsunobu reaction are highlighted. X-ray structures of two new compounds (2-t-Bu-4-MeC6H3O)P (μ-N-t-Bu)2P+[(NH-t-Bu)N[(CO2]-i-Pr)(HNCO2-i-Pr)]](Cl-)(2-t-Bu-4-MeC6H3OH)(23)and [CH2(6-t-Bu-4-Me-C6H2O)2P(O)C(CO2Me)C-(CO2Me)CClNC(O)Cl] (33) are also reported. The structure of23 is close to one of the intermediates proposed in the Mitsunobu reaction.  相似文献

Catalytic activities of three transition metals, as iridium (III) chloride, rhodium (III) chloride and palladium (II) chloride, were compared in the oxidation of six aromatic aldehydes (benzaldehyde, p‐chloro benzaldehyde, p‐nitro benzaldehyde, m‐nitro benzaldehyde, p‐methoxy benzaldehyde and cinnamaldehyde), two hydrocarbons (viz. (anthracene and phenanthrene)) and one aromatic and one cyclic alcohol (cyclohexanol and benzyl alcohol) by 50% H2O2. The presence of traces (substrate: catalyst ratio equal to 1:62500 to 1:1961) of the chlorides of iridium(III), rhodium(III) and palladium(II) catalyze these oxidations, resulting in good to excellent yields. It was observed that in most of the cases palladium(II) chloride is the most efficient catalyst. Conditions for the highest and most economical yields were obtained. Deviation from the optimum conditions decreases the yields. Oxidation in aromatic aldehydes is selective at the aldehydeic group only and other groups remain unaffected. This new, simple and economical method, which is environmentally safe, also requires less time. Reactive species of catalysts, existing in the reaction mixture are also discussed. While there is a considerable interest in the food industry in determining various analytes using ion-selective electrodes (ISEs), only few reports describe their use for direct measurements in food. In this study, the suitability of glass electrodes and ionophore-based solvent polymeric ISEs for the determination of pH in Process cheese, Cheddar cheese and milk was investigated. The liquid junction potential between a 3 M KCl bridge electrolyte and diluted as well as undiluted Process cheese was found to be negligible. Reference electrodes with ceramic plug and sleeve-type junctions performed well, although precautions needed to be taken to prevent plugging at the junctions. While the protein rennet casein posed no problems in pH measurements, the extraction of neutral lipophilic compounds or hydrophobic peptides into solvent polymeric membranes was evident, resulting in some loss of selectivity for monovalent cations upon exposure to cheese. However, it was found that ISEs based on tridodecylamine (R3N) as ionophore and o-nitrophenyl octyl ether (oNPOE) as plasticizer can be used to accurately measure the pH of milk and, after desensitization of the electrodes in a cheese emulsion, of diluted Process cheese. Since pH measurements with a glass electrode showed that emulsions of cheese moderately diluted to a cheese content of 70% have the same pH as undiluted cheeses, it is possible to determine the pH in cheese with ionophore-based ISEs. R3N membranes also performed well in undiluted milk.  相似文献

In this investigation, for convex functions, some new (p,q)–Hermite–Hadamard-type inequalities using the notions of (p,q)π2 derivative and (p,q)π2 integral are obtained. Furthermore, for (p,q)π2-differentiable convex functions, some new (p,q) estimates for midpoint and trapezoidal-type inequalities using the notions of (p,q)π2 integral are offered. It is also shown that the newly proved results for p=1 and q1 can be converted into some existing results. Finally, we discuss how the special means can be used to address newly discovered inequalities.  相似文献

This article describes the thermodynamic stability and phase behaviour of a liquid crystalline material p-n-hexyloxybenzylidene-p-toluidine (6OBT) at a molecular level. The atomic net charge and dipole moment at each atomic centre have been evaluated using the complete neglect differential overlap (CNDO/2) method. The modified Rayleigh–Schrodinger perturbation method along with multicentred-multipole expansion method has been employed to evaluate the long-range intermolecular interactions, while a ‘6-exp’ potential function has been assumed for the short-range interactions. The total interaction energy values obtained through these computations have been used to calculate the probability of each configuration at room temperature (300?K), nematic–isotropic transition temperature (346.9?K) and above transition temperature (400?K) using the Maxwell–Boltzmann formula. Further, the Helmholtz free energy and entropy of each configuration has been computed during the different modes of interactions. An attempt has been made to understand the phase behaviour and stability of the molecule based on thermodynamic parameters introduced in this article.  相似文献

The variation of DC electrical conductivity and the optical properties of thermally evaporated a- (Sb2Se3)100−xSnx thin films with temperature have been studied. It is found that the thermal activation energy decreases, while the optical gap first increases (up to x=1) and then decreases, with the increase in Sn content. These results have been explained by taking into consideration the structural modifications induced by the incorporation of Sn into the parent alloy. The variation in the conductivity prefactor (σo) with Sn addition indicates a change in the dominant conduction transport mechanism from extended states to localized states. An experimental correlation between the activation energy and the pre-exponential factor has been observed, indicating the validity of Meyer–Neldel rule in the studied samples.  相似文献

The three Ru(II) complexes of [Ru(phen)2dppca]2+ (1) [Ru(bpy)2dppca]2+ (2) and [Ru(dmb)2dppca]2+ (3) (where phen = 1,10 phenanthroline, bpy = 2,2-bipyridine, dmb = 2 ,2-dimethyl 2′,2′-bipyridine and polypyridyl ligand containing a single carboxylate functionality dppca ligand (dipyridophenazine-11-carboxylic acid) have been synthesized and characterized. These complexes have been shown to act as promising calf thymus DNA intercalators and a new class of DNA light switches, as evidenced by UV-visible and luminescence titrations with Co2+ and EDTA, steady-state emission quenching by [Fe(CN)6]4− and KI, DNA competitive binding with ethidium bromide, viscosity measurements, and DNA melting experiments. The results suggest that 1, 2, and 3 complexes bind to CT-DNA through intercalation and follows the order 1 > 2 > 3. Under irradiation at 365 nm, the three complexes have also been found to promote the photocleavage of plasmid pBR322 DNA.  相似文献

A strong influence of Ni content on the diffusion-controlled growth of the (Cu,Ni)3Sn and (Cu,Ni)6Sn5 phases by coupling different Cu(Ni) alloys with Sn in the solid state is reported. The continuous increase in the thickness ratio of (Cu,Ni)6Sn5 to (Cu,Ni)3Sn with the Ni content is explained by combined kinetic and thermodynamic arguments as follows: (i) The integrated interdiffusion coefficient does not change for the (Cu,Ni)3Sn phase up to 2.5 at.% Ni and decreases drastically for 5 at.% Ni. On the other hand, there is a continuous increase in the integrated interdiffusion coefficient for (Cu,Ni)6Sn5 as a function of increasing Ni content. (ii) With the increase in Ni content, driving forces for the diffusion of components increase for both components in both phases but at different rates. However, the magnitude of these changes alone is not large enough to explain the high difference in the observed growth rate of the product phases because of Ni addition. (iv) Kirkendall marker experiments indicate that the Cu6Sn5 phase grows by diffusion of both Cu and Sn in the binary case. However, when Ni is added, the growth is by diffusion of Sn only. (v) Also, the observed grain refinement in the Cu6Sn5 phase with the addition of Ni suggests that the grain boundary diffusion of Sn may have an important role in the observed changes in the growth rate.  相似文献

Polycrystalline sample of Ca3Nb2O8 was prepared by a high-temperature solid-state reaction technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirms the formation of single-phase compound of hexagonal (rhombohedral) crystal structure at room temperature. Scanning electron micrograph of the material showed uniform grain distribution on the surface of the sample. Detailed studies of dielectric properties of the compound, studied in a wide frequency range (102-106 Hz) at different temperatures (25-500 °C), exhibit a dielectric anomaly suggesting phase transition of ferroelectric-paraelectric and structural type at 300 °C. Electrical properties of the material were analyzed using a complex impedance technique. The Nyquists plot showed the presence of bulk effect in the material in the studied temperature range. Studies of electrical conductivity over a wide temperature range suggest that the compound has negative temperature coefficient of resistance behavior.  相似文献
