Molecular dynamics simulation is applied to investigate the effects of checker surface roughness geometry on the flow of liquid argon through nanochannels that the roughness is implemented on the lower channel wall. The Lennard-Jones potential is used to model the interactions between particles and periodic boundary condition is applied in the flow direction. Density and velocity profiles across the channel are investigated for channel that the lower surface is decorated with the checker surface roughness elements. Result show that as the surface attraction energy or the roughness height increase the density layering in the near the wall is enhanced by higher values or secondary layering phenomena.  相似文献

Divergence and flutter instabilities of pipes conveying fluid with fractional viscoelastic model has been investigated in the present work. Attention is concentrated on the boundaries of the stability. Based on the Euler–Bernoulli beam theory for structural dynamics, viscoelastic fractional model for damping and, plug flow model for fluid flow, equation of motion has been derived. The effects of gravity, and distributed follower forces are also considered. By transferring the equation of motion to the Laplace domain and using the Galerkin method, the characteristic equations are obtained. By solving the eigenvalue problem, frequencies and dampings of the system have been obtained versus flow velocity. Some numerical test cases have been studied with viscoelastic fractional model and the effect of the fractional derivative order and the retardation time is investigated for various boundary conditions.

This paper investigates the nonlinear dynamics of a doubly clamped piezoelectric nanobeam subjected to a combined AC and DC loadings in the presence of three-to-one internal resonance. Surface effects are taken into account in the governing equation of motion to incorporate the associated size effects at nanoscales. The reduced-order model equation (ROM) is obtained based on the Galerkin method. The multiple scales method is applied directly to the nonlinear equation of motion and associated boundary conditions to obtain the modulation equations. The equilibrium solutions of the modulation equations and the dynamic solutions of the ROM equation are investigated in the case of primary and principal parametric resonances of the first mode. Stability, bifurcations and frequency response curves of the nanobeam are investigated. Dynamic behaviors of the motion are shown in the form of time traces, phase portraits, Poincare sections and fast Fourier transforms. The results indicate rich dynamic behaviors such as Hopf bifurcations, periodic and quasiperiodic motions in both directly and indirectly excited modes illustrating the influence of modal interactions on the response.  相似文献

In this study, the effect of using folic acid on the in situ synthesis process of nanostructures has been investigated. Folic acid, as a biotemplate for synthesis of Cu2O/ZnO, was used to improve the reducing and stabilizing the ability of cotton fabric and avoid agglomeration of the particles. Scanning electron microscopy images revealed that using folic acid caused the formation of particles with smaller sizes on the cotton fabric and X‐ray diffraction confirmed the same crystalline pattern of nanoparticles in comparison with the previous synthesis process. The effect of using this biotemplate on different properties of treated fabrics including UV‐protection effect, hydrophilicity, crease recovery angle, softness, thickness and mechanical properties has been evaluated. The folic acid had a great influence on UV‐protection effect, in synthesis procedure, decreasing the droplet absorption time, bending length and improving the wrinkle resistance and mechanical properties. Interestingly, the higher tensile strength of the treated cotton fabrics proved the incorporation of nanoparticles into the cotton fibers. An in situ, green and rapid method can be provided by using folic acid for the synthesis of the nanostructures with controlled size.  相似文献

In this paper, a fluid–structure interaction model for stability analysis of shells conveying fluid is developed. This model is developed for shells of arbitrary geometry and structure and is based on incompressible potential flow. The boundary element method is applied to model the potential flow. The fluid dynamics model is derived by using an inflow/outflow model along with the impermeability condition at the fluid–shell interface. This model is applied to obtain the flow modes and eigenvalues, which are used for the modal representation of the flow field in the shell. Based on the mode shapes and natural frequencies of the shell obtained from an FEM model, the modal analysis technique is used for structural modeling of the shell. Using the linearized Bernoulli equation for unsteady pressure on the fluid–shell interface in combination with the virtual work principle, the generalized structural forces are obtained in terms of the modal coordinates of the fluid flow and the coupled field equations of the fluid–structure are derived. The obtained model is validated by comparison with results in the literature, and very good agreement is demonstrated. Then, some examples are provided to demonstrate the application of the present model to determining the stability conditions of shells with arbitrary geometries.  相似文献

Numerical simulation of Poiseuille flow of liquid Argon in a rough nano-channel using the non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulation is performed. Density and velocity profiles across the channel are investigated in which roughness is implemented only on the lower wall. The Lennard–Jones potential is used to model the interactions between all particles. The effects of surface roughness geometry, gap between roughness elements (or roughness periodicity), surface roughness height and surface attraction energy on the behavior of the flow undergoing Poiseuille flow are presented. Results show that surface shape and roughness height have a decisive role on the flow behaviors. In fact, by increasing the roughness ratio (height to base ratio), the slip velocity and the maximum velocity in the channel cross section are reduced, and the density fluctuations near the wall increases. Results also show that the maximum density near the wall for a rough surface is less than a smooth wall. Moreover, the simulation results show that the effect of triangle roughness surface on the flow behavior is more than the cylindrical ones.  相似文献

This paper presents a dynamic analytical model for tank train vibrations. The train is considered as a system of 27 degrees of freedom consisting of lateral, roll, yaw, vertical, and pitch motions for the vehicle body and its two bogies and lateral, roll and vertical motions for the four wheel-sets. Liquid sloshing in the tank is modeled using an equivalent mechanical mass-spring model. Coupling between the vehicle system and the railway track is realized through the interaction forces between the train and the rail, where the vertical and lateral irregularity profiles of the track are regarded as stationary ergodic Gaussian random processes and simulated by polynomial functions. Random vibration theory is used to obtain the response power spectral densities. Finally, numerical results for a typical test case including natural frequencies of a coupled system, frequency response functions, and output power spectral densities are presented.  相似文献
