The mass spectra of some methoxy and methyl derivatives of 2-methylbenzophenone have been examined. Loss of a substituents from 3′-and 4′-positions as well as the previously known loss from 2′-positions are important fragmentation processes. Thus, these fragmentations are of little use in locating substituents on benzophenones of unknown structure. Deuterium labelling shows the [M - 1]+ ion from 3′,4,4′,5,5′-pentamethoxy-2-methyl benzophenone to be due largely to loss of hydrogen from 2′- and 6′-positions. 相似文献

Metal complexes produced by depositing size selected Fe and Ag cluster cations in N2 and O2 matrices respectively are studied by infrared spectroscopy. Unknown species such as Fe(N2)x, Fe3 (N2)x and Ag3(O2)x are observed. The IR spectra of Ag+, Ag 2 + and Ag 9 + in excess O2 indicate that no complexes involving molecular oxygen are formed. However, the strong silver cluster UV-visible absorptions detected in Ar matrices disappear in the oxygen matrices, suggesting that silver-oxygen complexes are formed with dissociated oxygen. 相似文献

This paper examines the imposition of local rules in five mail delivery centres of Australia Post. Local rules are patterns of behaviour used by subunits of an organization to optimise their payoff. These local rules may ultimately benefit the total organization. Fitness landscapes are used to examine the emergence of local rules in this workplace. This research examined the relationship between the time taken to sort the mail and the volume of this mail. Work rates show a clear catastrophe shift; that is, work rates suddenly drop when the volume of mail exceeds a certain level, as Postal Delivery Officers apply local rules to maximise gains inherent in the pay structures. Such behaviour is close to that predicted by Kauffman (1995) in computer simulations of lattices and may be indicative of the application of local rules in organizations. The implications of the use of local rules are that behaviour in social systems may be dictated by systemic and emergent processes which are outside immediate management control. A further implication is that organizations may be structured to a significant extent by such local rules. 相似文献

This paper proposes that the theory of local rules provides a model for explaining organizational behavior as an emergent property of a fitness landscape. While local rule theory has its genesis in evolutionary biology, this paper links it to work in computational mathematical organizational theory. It further proposes that there are conditions, characterized by coadaptation, under which rules will survive in relatively stable forms, and other conditions, characterized by competition, under which local rules will change. The paper then discusses how catastrophe analysis can provide insights into changing patterns of organizational interactions. A discussion of methodology outline shows developments in agent-based simulation modeling can contribute to the development of local rule theory. 相似文献

The surface topography of Ag films and surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) from benzene on Ag films have been simultaneously recorded. The Ag films were formed by vacuum deposition at temperatures ranging from 100 K to 500 K. Analysis of scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM) images shows that films formed below 250 K are fractal structures with Hausdorff-Besicovitch dimension 2.55 < D < 2.72, while for those formed above 250 K, D≈2. The lower temperature, rough films exhibit strong surface enhanced Raman scattering but the higher temperature, smooth films do not. We consider the consequences of fractal character and the possible correlation between this and the SERS activity of these films. 相似文献

This article, presents a procedure for generating a sequence of data sets which will yield exactly the same fitted simple linear regression equation y?=?a?+?bx. The problem considered is the stochastic storage of solar thermal energy. The physical process is briefly described and a simple model formulated. This model is shown to be amenable to approximate solution by the use of an Ornstein-Uhlenbeck type of diffusion process. This solution is shown to compare favourably with computer simulation and reference is made to a wide class of energy storage problems not previously examined by methods of applied probability. 相似文献
