The Bethe ansatz leads to Yang-Yang integral equations. The particle-hole structure of the zero-temperature excitations is generalized to finite temperatures, which leads to the definition of soliton- and phonon-quasiparticles. The solitons approximately follow the Fermi-Dirac statistics and have a chemical potential with an unusual temperature dependence, because the number of solitons is not constant. 相似文献

We propose an efficient coherent power scaling scheme, the multichip vertical-external-cavity surface-emitting laser (VECSEL), in which the waste heat generated in the active region is distributed on multi-VECSEL chips such that the pump level at the thermal rollover is significantly increased. The advantages of this laser are discussed, and the development and demonstration of a two-chip VECSEL operating around 970 nm with over 19 W of output power is presented. 相似文献

–The effect of solar radiation on development was studied in two strains (wild type N04 and axenic AX2) of the cellular slime mold, Dictyostelium discoideum. In both strains early development was retarded by solar radiation and amoebae exposed for >200 min never developed into mature sorocarps. Overheating can be excluded as a mechanism for inhibition since the organisms were exposed in a temperature-controlled growth chamber. The most effective component seems to be UV-B radiation (while UV-A has a smaller inhibitory effect) as shown by cutting off shorter wavelength radiation using WG filters. 相似文献

We aimed in this work to study numerically the scaling behavior and the mound morphological properties of the interfaces generated by the multilayer deposition process. We have found that when the diffusion process dominates strongly the deposition one, the obtained interfaces consist of wedding-cake like structures. The width of the surface is a self-affine fractal exhibiting non-trivial scaling with the surface height and the system size, and the obtained interfaces follow the Family–Vicsek law with exponent values more consisting with the Edwards–Wilkinson model. 相似文献

The effects of radiative losses on the thermal behavior of thin metal films, as described by the microscopic two-step hyperbolic heat conduction model, are investigated. Different criteria, which determine the ranges within which thermal radiative losses are significant, are derived. It is found that radiative losses from the electron gas are significant in thin films having [(CR ee4/3 T¥ 4 )/(ke1/3 L2/3 G)] 3 4.6 ×107{{C_R \epsilon _e^{{4 \over 3}} T_\infty ^4 } \over {k_e^{{1 \over 3}} L^{{2 \over 3}} G}}\geq 4.6 \times 10^7 for /o > 4 and FF < 1 and [(CR ee3/2 T¥ 9/2)/(ke1/2 L1/2 G)] 3 7.4 ×1010{{C_R \epsilon _e^{{3 \over 2}} T_\infty ^{{9 \over 2}}} \over {k_e^{{1 \over 2}} L^{{1 \over 2}} G}}\geq 7.4 \times 10^{10} for /o < 4 and FF > 1. 相似文献

The accuracy of laser-induced incandescence (LII) measurements is significantly influenced by the calibration process and
the laser profile degradation due to beam steering. Additionally, the wavelength used for extinction measurements, needed
for LII calibration, is critical and should be kept as high as possible in order to avoid light absorption by molecular species
in the flame. The influence of beam steering on the LII measurement was studied in turbulent sooting C2H4/air flames at different pressures. While inhomogeneities in the laser profile become smoothed out in time-averaged measurements,
especially at higher pressure, the corresponding single-shot beam profiles reveal an increasing effect of beam steering. In
the current configuration it was observed that the resulting local laser fluence remains within certain limits (30% to 200%)
of the original value. A sufficiently high incident laser fluence can thus prevent the local fluence from dropping below the
LII threshold value of approximately 0.3 J/cm2 at the cost of increased soot surface vaporization. A spatial resolution in the dimension of the sheet thickness of below
1 mm cannot be guaranteed at increased pressure of 9 bars due to beam steering. A feasibility study in a combustor at technical
conditions demonstrates the influence of both effects beam steering and choice of calibration wavelength and led to the conclusion
that, however, a shot-to-shot calibration of LII with simultaneously measured extinction can be realized. 相似文献

A broadly applicable chemical cleavage methodology to facilitate MS/MS sequencing was developed for macrocyclic and lasso peptides, which hold promise as exciting new therapeutics. Existing methods such as Edman degradation, CNBr cleavage, and enzymatic digestion are either limited in scope or completely fail in cleavage of constrained nonribosomal peptides. Importantly, the new method was utilized for synthesizing a unique peptide‐based rotaxane (both cyclic and threaded) from the lasso peptide, benenodin‐1 ΔC5. 相似文献
