The investigation of the behavior of a nonlinear system consists in theanalysis of different stages of its motion, where the complexity varieswith the proximity of a resonance region. Near this region the stabilitydomain of the system undergoes sudden changes due basically tocompetition and interaction between periodic and saddle solutions insidethe phase portrait, leading to the occurrence of the most differentphenomena. Depending of the domain of the chosen control parameter,these events can reveal interesting geometric features of the system sothat the phase portrait is not capable to express all them, since theprojection of these solutions on the two-dimensional surface can hidesome aspects of these events. In this work we will investigate thenumerical solutions of a particular pendulum system close to a secondaryresonance region, where we vary the control parameter in a restrictdomain in order to draw a preliminary identification about what happenswith this system. This domain includes the appearance of non-hyperbolicsolutions where the basin of attraction in the center of the phaseportrait diminishes considerably, almost disappearing, and afterwardsits size increases with the direction of motion inverted. Thisphenomenon delimits a boundary between low and high frequency of theexternal excitation. 相似文献

The Fitzhugh–Nagumo (FH) mathematical model is considered a simplification of the Hodgkin–Huxley (HH) model. This paper analyzes the non-linear dynamics of the Fitzhugh–Nagumo (FN) mathematical model, and still presents some modifications in the governing equations of the system in order to transform it into a non-ideal one (taking into account that an energy source has limited power supply). We also developed an optimal linear control design and used Sinhas’s theory for the membrane’s action potential in order to stabilize the variation of this potential. 相似文献

In this work, motivated by non-ideal mechanical systems, we investigate the following O.D.E.
[(x)\dot] = f (x) + eg (x, t) + e2[^(g)] (x, t, e){\dot{x} = f (x) + \varepsilon g (x, t) + \varepsilon^{2}\widehat{g} (x, t, \varepsilon)}
, where
x ? W ì \mathbbRn{x \in \Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^n}
,
g,[^(g)]{g,\widehat{g}}
are T periodic functions of t and there is a
0 ∈ Ω such that f ( a
0) = 0 and f ′( a
0) is a nilpotent matrix. When n = 3 and f (x) = (0, q (x
3) , 0) we get results on existence and stability of periodic orbits. We apply these results in a non ideal mechanical system:
the Centrifugal Vibrator. We make a stability analysis of this dynamical system and get a characterization of the Sommerfeld
Effect as a bifurcation of periodic orbits. 相似文献

Chloride is a crucial anion for various analytical applications from biological to environmental applications. In order to measure the chloride ion concentration, a measurement system is needed which can detect this concentration for prolonged times reliably. Chronopotentiometry is a technique which does not need a long term stable reference electrode and is therefore very suitable for prolonged ion concentration measurements. As the used electrode might be fouled by reaction products, this work focuses on a chronopotentiometric approach with a separated sensing electrode (sensor) and actuating electrode (actuator). Both actuation and sensor electrode are made of Ag/AgCl. A constant current is applied to the actuator and will start the reaction between Ag and Clˉ, while the resulting Clˉ ion concentration change is observed through the sensor, which is placed close to the actuator. The time it takes to locally deplete the Clˉ ions is called transition time. Experiments were performed to verify the feasibility of this approach. The performed experiments show that the sensor detects the local concentration changes resulting from the current applied to the actuator. A linear relation between the Clˉ ion concentration and the square root of the transition time was observed, just as was predicted by theory. The calibration curves for different chips showed that both a larger sensor and a larger distance between sensor and actuator resulted in a larger time delay between the transition time detected at the actuator and the sensor. 相似文献

A model of energy harvester based on a simple portal frame structure is presented. The system is considered to be non-ideal system (NIS) due to interaction with the energy source, a DC motor with limited power supply and the system structure. The nonlinearities present in the piezoelectric material are considered in the piezoelectric coupling mathematical model. The system is a bi-stable Duffing oscillator presenting a chaotic behavior. Analyzing the average power variation, and bifurcation diagrams, the value of the control variable that optimizes power or average value that stabilizes the chaotic system in the periodic orbit is determined. The control sensitivity is determined to parametric errors in the damping and stiffness parameters of the portal frame. The proposed passive control technique uses a simple pendulum to tuned to the vibration of the structure to improve the energy harvesting. The results show that with the implementation of the control strategy it is possible to eliminate the need for active or semi active control, usually more complex. The control also provides a way to regulate the energy captured to a desired operating frequency. 相似文献

In this study the behaviour of two different types of shock absorbers, symmetrical (linear) and asymmetrical (nonlinear) is compared for use on passenger vehicles. The analyses use different standard road inputs and include variation of the severity parameter, the asymmetry ratio and the velocity of the vehicle. Performance indices and acceleration values are used to assess the efficacy of the asymmetrical systems. The comparisons show that the asymmetrical system, with nonlinear characteristics, tends to have a smoother and more progressive performance, both for vertical and angular movements. The half-car front asymmetrical system was introduced, and the simulation results show that the use of the asymmetrical system only at the front of the vehicle can further diminish the angular oscillations. As lower levels of acceleration are essential for improved ride comfort, the use of asymmetrical systems for vibrations and impact absorption can be a more advantageous choice for passenger vehicles. 相似文献
