New results concerning the topology of the fragmentation of relativistic nuclei 7Li and 10B are presented. A program is proposed for studying the cluster structure of stable and radioactive nuclei. There is growing evidence that temporal lobe seizures are preceded by a preictal transition, characterized by a gradual dynamical change from asymptomatic interictal state to seizure. We herein report the first prospective analysis of the online automated algorithm for detecting the preictal transition in ongoing EEG signals. Such, the algorithm constitutes a seizure warning system. The algorithm estimates STLmax, a measure of the order or disorder of the signal, of EEG signals recorded from individual electrode sites. The optimization techniques were employed to select critical brain electrode sites that exhibit the preictal transition for the warning of epileptic seizures. Specifically, a quadratically constrained quadratic 0-1 programming problem is formulated to identify critical electrode sites. The automated seizure warning algorithm was tested in continuous, long-term EEG recordings obtained from 5 patients with temporal lobe epilepsy. For individual patient, we use the first half of seizures to train the parameter settings, which is evaluated by ROC (Receiver Operating Characteristic) curve analysis. With the best parameter setting, the algorithm applied to all cases predicted an average of 91.7% of seizures with an average false prediction rate of 0.196 per hour. The stroboscopic method was applied to study the evolution of dynamic spiral domains in garnet ferrite films in an ac magnetic field. The spiral-domain shape was shown to change significantly within a field period; the basic shape transformations take place in the phase range ?π/4 to +π/4 with respect to the polarity inversion time. During the spiral-domain formation or decay, the area and shape of a hysteresis loop of the film region containing the domain gradually change. The upper boundary of the frequency range in which spiral domains form was established to be associated with transformations of the domain wall structure.  相似文献

The analysis is carried out of the response of the center of gravity (dipole moment) of the distribution of noninteracting thermalized nonlinear oscillators to a sinusoidal driving force. Heat bath coupling is modeled by damping and noise. The driving is weak, but the frequency is resonant, so that there is a nonlinear resonance in the phase space. The response has a linear part that can be obtained from the perturbation analysis and a small nonlinear correction that is specific for the resonant structure.  相似文献
