In situ FTIR spectroscopy has been used in the attenuated total reflectance (ATR) mode to investigate the surface chemistry of etching Si(100) surfaces in aqueous KOH. The effect of solution concentration and electrode potential on the Si-H vibrations has been explored and the experimental results compared with density functional theory calculations. In addition. the kinetics of surface passivation of n-Si(100) has been investigated using FTIR spectroscopy.  相似文献

116 S-Benzylthiouronium suits have been prepared and were, if possible, checked by titration with perchloric acid in glacial acetic acid on a semi-micro scale. Out of these, 110 are salts of carboxylic acids, 2 of snlfonic acids, and 4 of nitrophenols. The melting points determined according to a standard procedure are given.  相似文献

A study of the effects of single and combined protease hydrolysis on myofibrillar versus collagenous proteins of poultry by-products has been conducted. The aim was to contribute with knowledge for increased value creation of all constituents of these complex by-products. A rational approach was implemented for selecting proteases exhibiting the most different activity towards the major protein-rich constituents of mechanically deboned chicken residue (MDCR). An initial activity screening of 18 proteases on chicken meat, turkey tendons and MDCR was conducted. Based on weight yield, size exclusion chromatography (SEC) and SDS-PAGE, stem Bromelain and Endocut-02 were selected. Studies on hydrolysis of four different poultry by-products at 40 °C, evaluated by protein yield, SEC, and SDS-PAGE, indicate that the proteases’ selectivity difference can be utilized in tailor-making hydrolysates, enriched in either meat- and collagen-derived peptides or gelatin. Three modes of stem Bromelain and Endocut-02 combinations during hydrolysis of MDCR were performed and compared with single protease hydrolysis. All modes of the protease combinations resulted in a similar approximately 15% increase in product yield, with products exhibiting similar SEC and SDS-PAGE profiles. This shows that irrespective of the modes of combination, the use of more than one enzyme in hydrolysis of collagen-rich material can provide means to increase the total protein yield and ultimately contribute to increased value creation of poultry by-products.  相似文献

A novel enantioselective organocatalytic strategy is presented for the synthesis of tetrahydrofurobenzofuran and methanobenzodioxepine natural product core structures. The strategy is based on a pair of divergent reaction pathways in which hydroxyarenes react with γ‐keto‐α,β‐unsaturated aldehydes, catalyzed by a chiral secondary amine. One reaction pathway, which leads to chiral 5,5‐fused acetals with two stereocenters—the tetrahydrofurobenzofuran scaffolds—proceeds in moderate yields and up to 96 % ee. The other reaction pathway provides 5,6‐bridged methanobenzodioxepine scaffolds with three stereocenters in moderate to good yields and up to 95 % ee. The reaction is remarkable as it can proceed with catalyst loadings as low as 0.25 mol %, providing one of the highest known turnover numbers in iminium ion catalysis. Furthermore, the hemiacetal tetrahydrofurobenzofuran can undergo functionalizations including reduction, oxidation, and allylation. Finally, the effects involved in the substrate control for the divergent pathways, based on both experimental and computational studies, have been investigated. A model involving steric, electronic and stereoelectronic interactions is discussed to rationalize the observed selectivities.  相似文献

Conjugated cyclic trienes have the potential for different types of cycloaddition reactions. In the present work, we will, in a novel asymmetric cycloaddition reaction, demonstrate that the organocatalytic reaction of 2‐acyl cycloheptatrienes with azomethine ylides proceeds as a [3+2] cycloaddition, which is in contrast to the Lewis acid‐catalyzed reaction, in which a [3+6] cycloaddition takes place. In the presence of a chiral organosuperbase, 2‐acyl cycloheptatrienes react in a highly enantioselective manner in the [3+2] cycloaddition with azomethine ylides, providing the 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition product in high yields and up to 99 % ee. It is also shown that the diene formed by the reaction can undergo stereoselective dihydroxylation, bromination, and cycloaddition reactions. Finally, based on experimental observations, some mechanistic considerations are discussed.  相似文献

Egyptian blue has been identified in a painting from 1524 by the Italian artist Ortolano Ferrarese (Giovanni Battista Benvenuto). Egyptian blue is the oldest known synthetic pigment, invented by the Egyptians in the fourth dynasty (2613–2494 bc) of the Old Kingdom and extensively used throughout Antiquity. From about 1000 a.d., it disappeared from the historical record and was only reinvented in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. The discovery of Egyptian blue in Ortolano Ferrarese’s painting from 1524 shows that Egyptian blue was in fact available in the period from which it is normally considered not to exist. The identification of Egyptian blue is based on optical microscopy supported by energy-dispersive spectroscopy and visual light photon-induced spectroscopy, and finally confirmed by Raman microspectroscopy.  相似文献

Endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress occurs upon increased levels of unfolded proteins and results in activation of cellular responses such as the unfolded protein response (UPR) and ER-associated protein degradation (ERAD). To examine ER stress, we performed a quantitative proteome analysis of human neuroblastoma cells using stable isotope labeling with amino acids in cell culture (SILAC) in combination with SDS-PAGE and LC-MS/MS. Proteins associated with the ER were overrepresented in the dataset of altered proteins. In particular, ER chaperones responsible for protein folding were significantly upregulated in response to ER stress. The important ER stress regulator 78 kDa glucose-regulated protein (GRP-78 or BiP) was highly upregulated together with several proteins that have been found to form a multiprotein complex with BiP including cyclophilin B, DnaJ homolog subfamily B member 11, endoplasmin, hypoxia upregulated protein 1, protein disulfide isomerase and protein disulfide isomerase A4 upon tunicamycin-induced ER stress. Furthermore, seven aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases and five proteins belonging to the Sec61 complex were increased in response to tunicamycin-induced ER stress.  相似文献
