Nanocomposite hydrogel consisting of Na‐montmorillonite with enhanced mechanical properties

A new kind of nanocomposite (NC) hydrogel with Na‐montmorillonite (MMT) is presented in this article. The NC hydrogels were synthesized by free radical copolymerization of acrylamide and (3‐acrylamidopropyl) trimethylammonium chloride (ATC) in the presence of MMT and N,N′‐methylene‐bis‐acrylamide used as chemical cross‐linker. Due to the cation‐exchange reaction between MMT and ATC (cationic monomer) during the synthesis of NC hydrogels, MMT platelets were considered chemical “plane” cross‐linkers, different from “point” cross‐linkers. With increasing amount of MMT, the crosslinking degree enhanced, causing a decrease of the swelling degree at equilibrium. Investigations of mechanical properties indicated that NC hydrogels exhibited enhanced strength and toughness, which resulted from chemical interaction between exfoliated MMT platelets and polymer chains in hydrogels. Dynamic shear measurements showed that both storage modulus and loss modulus increased with increasing MMT content. The idea described here provided a new route to prepare hydrogels with high mechanical properties by using alternative natural Na‐MMT. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part B: Polym. 零维到三维结构中三核铜自旋阻挫簇单元的磁构关系和反对称交换

量子自旋液体是最近几年刚被人们证实除铁磁体、反铁磁体之外的第三种磁性类型,因其有望解释高温超导的运行机制、改变计算机硬盘信息存储方式而在物理、材料等领域备受关注。自旋阻挫作为量子自旋液体的最小单元可能是解开量子自旋液体诸多问题的钥匙,所以在磁学、电学研究领域再一次成为人们研究的热点。基于文献报道的三核铜配合物[Cu3(μ3-OH)(μ-OPz)3(NO3)2(H2O)2]·CH3OH(1),我们合成了三维金属有机框架配合物{[Ag(HOPz)Cu3(μ3-OH)(NO3)3(OPz)2Ag(NO3)]·6H2O}n(2)(HOPz=甲基(2-吡嗪基)酮肟),并从自旋阻挫的角度对二者磁性质进行对比和详细分析。磁化率数据表明自旋间有很强的反铁磁相互作用和反对称交换。通过包含各向同性和反对称交换的哈密顿算符对两者磁学数据进行拟合并研究其磁构关系,所获最佳拟合参数为:配合物1:Jav=-426 cm^-1,g⊥=1.83,g∥=2.00;配合物2:Jav=-401 cm^-1,g⊥=1.85,g∥=2.00。     

Characteristics of black carbon aerosol in Jiaxing,China during autumn 2013

We conducted measurements of black carbon（BC） aerosol in Jiaxing,China during autumn from September 26 to November 30,2013.We investigated temporal and diurnal variations of BC,and its correlations with meteorological parameters and other major pollutants.Results showed that hourly mass concentrations of BC ranged from 0.2 to 22.0 μg/m³,with an average of 5.1 μg/m³.The diurnai variation of BC exhibited a bimodal distribution,with peaks at 07:00 and 18:00.The morning peak was larger than the evening peak.The mass percentages of BC in PM_2.5 and PM₁₀ were 7.1%and 4.8%,respectively.The absorption coefficient of BC was calculated to be 44.4 Mm^-1,which accounted for 11.1%of the total aerosol extinction.BC was mainly emitted from local sources in southwestern Jiaxing where BC concentrations were generally greater than 11 μg/m³ during the measurement period.Correlation analysis indicated that the main sources of BC were motor vehicle exhaust,and domestic and industrial combustion.     

Close‐Packed Two‐Dimensional Silver Nanoparticle Arrays: Quadrupolar and Dipolar Surface Plasmon Resonance Coupling

Silver nanoparticles (NPs) ranging in size from 40 to 100 nm were prepared in high yield by using an improved seed‐mediated method. The homogeneous Ag NPs were used as building blocks for 2D assembled Ag NP arrays by using an oil/water interface. A close‐packed 2D array of Ag NPs was fabricated by using packing molecules (3‐mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane) to control the interparticle spacing. The homogeneous 2D Ag NP array exhibited a strong quadrupolar cooperative plasmon mode resonance and a dipolar red‐shift relative to individual Ag NPs suspended in solution. A well‐arranged 2D Ag NP array was embedded in polydimethylsiloxane film and, with biaxial stretching to control the interparticle distance, concomitant variations of the quadrupolar and dipolar couplings were observed. As the interparticle distance increased, the intensity of the quadrupolar cooperative plasmon mode resonance decreased and dipolar coupling completely disappeared. The local electric field of the 2D Ag NP array was calculated by using finite difference time domain simulation and qualitatively showed agreement with the experimental measurements.     

新型4-羟色胺类化合物的合成及生物活性

以4-羟基吲哚为原料,经吲哚环4位乙酰基化、3位亲电取代、酰胺化和还原加氢等反应合成目标化合物7.通过核磁共振氢谱及碳谱对化合物进行结构表征,并对目标化合物进行体外抗氧化生物活性测试.初步生物活性测试结果表明,化合物7a,7b,7c和7d对DPPH·均有很强的清除作用(清除率为85.25%~90.73%),7e,7f,7g,7h作用较差;目标化合物与Vc相比,对·OH的清除作用稍差,最高清除率25.66%(Vc的最高清除率为34.67),但各化合物整体水平相当;在清除O-2·能力上化合物7a,7d,7g,7h最大清除率(分别为19.34,35.35,27.93和31.74)均强于同等浓度的Vc(17.58).
