Treatment of 1,3-dihydroxyacetone and acrolein with aqueous KOH gave a tetrahydrofuran derivative, 1,4-dihydroxy-3,7-dioxabicyclo[3.3.0]octane, in 80% yield. Similarly, 6-alkyl substituted 1,4-dihydroxy-3,7-dioxabicyclo[3.3.0]octanes were obtained by reaction of 1,3-dihydroxyacetone with various α,β-unsaturated aldehydes. In the cases of long chain alkenals, the reaction was effectively accelerated in the presence of organic co-solvent. On the other hand, the corresponding tricyclic products were synthesized by reaction of 1,3-dihydroxyacetone with cyclic enones, such as 2-cyclopentenone and 2-cyclohexenone. This method was successfully applied to the reaction of a tetrulose in the absence of any protecting groups. 相似文献

First-principle electronic structure calculations are carried out for MxC 60 q , where M = Li, Na, K and ( x , q ) = (1, 0),(1,±1),(2, 0),(3, - 1),(6, 0),(6, - 1),(12, 0) using the local density functional. The electric dipole moment for MC60 agrees with the experimental results. The calculated Mulliken charge indicates that the bonding of the alkali atom with C60 is mostly ionic except for lithium. The alkali atom prefers to make many bonds with the carbon atoms rather than a single bond with the neighbor carbon atom. The calculated adsorption energy suggest that the metal-metal bonding of sodiums and potassiums on C60 arises for more than the six valence electrons in the alkali atoms. The lithium-lithium bond is, on the other hand, not appeared for x ? 12. The difference in the most stable geometry between lithiums and the other alkali atoms on C60 comes from the covalent character of the lithium-carbon bond. 相似文献

The magnetic properties of the Cr(0 0 1) surface have been studied by spin-polarized scanning tunneling spectroscopy (SP-STS). Spatially resolved mapping of the spectroscopic dI/dU signal at an energy close to the spin-polarized Cr(0 0 1) surface state allows the confirmation of the topological antiferromagnetic order of the Cr(0 0 1) surface. It is shown that the presence of screw dislocations leads to the formation of domain walls which exhibit a width of 120–170 nm. A long-period modulation of the SP-STS signal was not observed indicating that the bulk spin-density wave is modified at the surface due to symmetry breaking. 相似文献

Diazoalkane complexes of type [MF(NNCRR′)(dpe)2][BF4] (M = Mo or W; dpe = Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2), which are easily derived from bis(dinitrogen) complexes [M(N2)2(dpe)2], undergo consecutive one- and two-electron oxidations and reductions under voltammetric conditions at a platinum electrode. The reactions of three aromatic hydrocarbons, benzene, toluene, and styrene, with oxygen in a radiofrequency (r) plasma were investigated. Benzene was oxidized to yield phenol as a single volatile organic product. Similarly, toluene gave the ring oxidation products, cresols, as well as considerable amounts of methyl oxidation products, consisting mainly of benzaldehyde and benzyl alcohol. Ginseng, the underground parts of plants of Panax species, has been used in oriental traditional medicine for centuries. Unfortunately, because of extensive exploitation over thousands of years, the natural source of these species has been almost exhausted. Recently, we have found a wild ginseng growing in Myanmar. Here, by a combination of chemical composition study and gene sequence analysis, we unambiguously demonstrate that the wild ginseng is actually P. zingiberensis, commonly known as ginger ginseng. This ginseng was an indigenous to the southwestern China. However, now it is seriously threatened to brink of extinction and is put on the highest level of protection in China. Therefore, an appropriate protection measure is highly recommended to preserve this valuable resource, since this Myanmar ginseng might turn out to be the last P. zingiberensis, which could ever be seen in the planet. 相似文献
