Oleic acid (OA) coated stoichiometric NiCo (50:50) nanoparticles, with and without polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) coating, dispersible in aqueous and non aqueous media have been synthesized by a polyol process for the first time. Structural studies by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed the formation of an impurity free face centred cubic phase NiCo alloy. EDS analysis confirmed nearly 50:50 alloy composition. The magnetization, as a function of field and temperature, of these samples showed a soft ferromagnetic nature. The novelty of our method is that the particles are dispersible in non aqueous and aqueous media, which will facilitate preparation of films of these particles. 相似文献
Single crystals of sarcosinium oxalate monohydrate (SOM) are grown by the slow-evaporation technique at ambient temperature, and vibrational spectroscopic analysis is carried out using NIR-FT Raman, FT-IR, and SERS spectra. The normal mode frequencies and corresponding vibrational analysis of SOM are examined theoretically using the Gaussian’98 set of quantum chemical codes. The two bands present in the SOM ν C=O region, clearly observed in the Raman spectrum, are assigned to “free” and “bonded” carbonyl groups with the hydrogen atom. Vibrational analysis indicates the presence of C-H—O hydrogen bonding interaction producing a blueshift of the C-H stretching frequency. 相似文献
Evidence is presented for a multitude of discrete frequency Alfvén waves in the core of magnetically confined high-temperature fusion plasmas. Multiple diagnostic instruments confirm wave excitation over a wide spatial range from the device size at the longest wavelengths down to the thermal ion Larmor radius. At the shortest scales, the poloidal wavelengths are comparable to the scale length of electrostatic drift wave turbulence. Theoretical analysis confirms a dominant interaction of the modes with particles in the thermal ion distribution traveling well below the Alfvén velocity. 相似文献
Neutron diffraction and M?ssbauer measurements have been carried out on the cubic Laves phase intermetallic TbMnFe. The magnetic
moment on the transition metal atom is found to be low, 0.2μB, at room temperature. This moment is temperature independent down to 10 K. Magnetic moment on the rare earth atom varies
from 2.5μB at 296 K to 7.27μB at 10 K. M?ssbauer spectra recorded at 298 K and 78 K have magnetic character but there is a large distribution of hyperfine
field values. Both these features arise due to magnetic frustration created in the sample due to the competing ferro and antiferromagnetic

Chitosan is a natural based polymer obtained by alkaline deacetylation of chitin, exhibiting excellent properties such as non‐toxicity, biocompatibility and biodegradability. N‐Methylenephenyl phosphonic chitosan (NMPPC) is synthesized from chitosan by reacting with phenyl phosphonic acid using formaldehyde. The NMPPC was characterized by FTIR, 31P‐NMR, X‐ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimeteric analysis and solubility studies. A significant decrease of molecular weight was observed in the NMPPC. The TGA studies suggested that NMPPC has less thermal stability than chitosan. The X‐ray diffraction analysis showed that NMPPC was amorphous in nature. The solubility property of the polymer was improved after the incorporation of a phenyl phosphonic group. 相似文献
We observe an abrupt change in diamagnetic susceptibility at critical donor concentration for an $\text{ Al }_\mathrm{x}\text{ Ga }_\mathrm{1-x}\text{ As/GaAs }$ Al x Ga 1 ? x As/GaAs quantum dot system in the effective mass approximation indicating a possible semiconductor metal transition. The effect of confining potential and the laser intensity on the abrupt change in diamagnetic susceptibility has also been studied. The effect of nonparabolicity of the conduction band has been included in our calculations. Results are presented and discussed. 相似文献
Polymer electrolytes comprising polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) as host polymer and Mg(ClO4)2 as dopant salt have been prepared by solution casting technique using double-distilled water as solvent. The changes in the structural properties on the incorporation of dopant were investigated by XRD and FTIR analysis. The ionic conductivity and dielectric behavior were explored using AC impedance spectroscopy. The ionic conductivity increases with increasing dopant concentration. The conductivity enhancement with the increasing salt concentration is correlated with the increase in amorphous nature of the electrolytes. The frequency dependence of electrical conductivity obeys the universal Jonscher power law. The electrical modulus representation shows a loss feature in the imaginary component. The distribution of relaxation times was indicated by a deformed arc form of the Argand plot. The relative dielectric constant (εr) decreases with increase in frequency in the low frequency region whereas a frequency-independent behavior is observed in the high frequency region. The total ionic transference number studies have confirmed that the mobile charge carriers are ions. Results obtained by cyclic voltammetry on SS/60 mol% PVP/40 mol% Mg(ClO4)2 SPE/SS symmetrical cell show evidence for reversibility.
Polycrystalline Ni-Mn-Ga thin films were deposited by the d.c. magnetron sputtering on well-cleaned substrates of Si(1 0 0) and glass at a constant sputtering power of 36 W. We report the influence of sputtering pressure on the composition, structure and magnetic properties of the sputtered thin films. These films display ferromagnetic behaviour only after annealing at an elevated temperature and a maximum saturation magnetization of 335 emu/cc was obtained for the films investigated. Evolution of martensitic microstructure was observed in the annealed thin films with the increase of sputtering pressure. The thermo-magnetic curves exhibited only magnetic transition in the temperature range of 339-374 K. The thin film deposited at high sputtering pressure of 0.025 mbar was found to be ordered L21 austenitic phase. 相似文献
