Transition-metal-free regioselective synthesis of functionalized amino-indenones by the reaction of ortho-alkynylaldehydes with a broad range of primary amines by intramolecular cyclization has been described. The designed reaction proceeds through KOH-mediated Prins-type cyclization and DMSO-promoted oxidation of the cyclopent-2-en-1-one system. The proposed mechanism and role of solvent were well supported by control experiments. For the first time, we have disclosed the reverse reactivity of (2-alkynyl)-arylaldimines in a super basic system.  相似文献

A simple expeditious one-pot conversion of a wide assortment of aldehydes to corresponding primary amides in good to excellent yields has been accomplished employing hydroxylamine hydrochloride (1 mol equiv), sodium acetate (1.1 mol equiv), and copper sulfate pentahydrate (5 mol %) under neat conditions at 110 °C. The protocol based upon ligand-free copper (II)-catalysis avoids the use of relatively expensive late transition metal-based catalysts, and is performed under operationally simple conditions without any demanding procedure of isolation and purification of products.  相似文献

Two new algorithms for automated processing of liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) data are presented. These algorithms were developed from an analysis of the noise and artifact distribution in such data. The noise distribution was analyzed by preparing histograms of the signal intensity in LC/MS data. These histograms are well fit by a sum of two normal distributions in the log scale. One new algorithm, median filtering, provides increased performance compared to averaging adjacent scans in removing noise that is not normally distributed in the linear scale. Another new algorithm, vectorized peak detection, provides increased robustness with respect to variation in the noise and artifact distribution compared to methods based on determining an intensity threshold for the entire dataset. Vectorized peak detection also permits the incorporation of existing algorithms for peak detection in ion chromatograms and/or mass spectra. The application of these methods to LC/MS spectra of complex biological samples is described.  相似文献

A mild protocol for the synthesis of 7-arylbenzopyrano[4,3-b]benzopyran-6,8-diones by three-component reaction of 4-hydroxycoumarin, aromatic aldehyde, and 5,5-dimethylcyclohexane-1,3-dione (dimedone) with boric acid catalyst under aqueous micellar conditions is described. Good to excellent yield, high selectivity, tolerance of several common functional and protecting groups, and green features including avoidance of organic solvent in the reaction as well as isolation stage and use of nontoxic water-compatible mild Lewis acid catalyst are key attractive features of the protocol.

An efficient and facile l-proline-catalyzed three-component coupling of 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde, 5,5-dimethyl-1,3-cyclohexanedione (dimedone), and indole has been accomplished under mild aqueous micellar conditions to deliver a small library of 9-(1H-indol-3-yl)-xanthen-4-(9H)-ones of potential biological relevance. Under optimized conditions [10 mol % of l-proline, water (2 mL), SDS (23 mg, 0.08 mmol), rt], the reaction was highly selective toward the target compound and essentially free from competitive two-component byproduct formation.  相似文献

Recently, single-crystals of tin selenide (SnSe) have drawn immense attention in the field of thermoelectrics due to their anisotropic layered crystal structure and ultra-low lattice thermal conductivity. Layered SnSe has an orthorhombic crystal structure (Pnma) at ambient conditions. However, the cubic rock-salt phase (Fm3̄m) of SnSe can only be stabilized at very high pressure and thus, the experimental realization of the cubic phase remains elusive. Herein, we have successfully stabilized the high-pressure cubic rock-salt phase of SnSe by alloying with AgBiSe2 (0.30 ≤ x ≤ 0.80) at ambient temperature and pressure. The orthorhombic polycrystalline phase is stable in (SnSe)1−x(AgBiSe2)x in the composition range of 0.00 ≤ x < 0.28, which corresponds to narrow band gap semiconductors, whereas the band gap closes upon increasing the concentration of AgBiSe2 (0.30 ≤ x < 0.70) leading to the cubic rock-salt structure. We confirmed the stabilization of the cubic structure at x = 0.30 and associated changes in the electronic structure using first-principles theoretical calculations. The pristine cubic SnSe exhibited the topological crystalline insulator (TCI) quantum phase, but the cubic (SnSe)1−x(AgBiSe2)x (x = 0.33) showed a semi-metallic electronic structure with overlapping conduction and valence bands. The cubic polycrystalline (SnSe)1−x(AgBiSe2)x (x = 0.30) sample showed n-type conduction at room temperature, while the orthorhombic (SnSe)1−x(AgBiSe2)x (0.00 ≤ x < 0.28) samples retained p-type character. Thus, by optimizing the electronic structure and the thermoelectric properties of polycrystalline SnSe, a high zT of 1.3 at 823 K has been achieved in (SnSe)0.78(AgBiSe2)0.22.

AgBiSe2 alloying in SnSe tailors its crystal and electronic structures, which boost its thermoelectric figure of merit to 1.3.  相似文献
