Tristimulus colorimetry using a digital still camera (DSC) as a colorimeter has been developed. A photograph of a sample and standard solutions was taken simultaneously with the DSC, and it was transferred to a PC. On the PC, the colors of the sample and of the standard solutions were analyzed and L* (brightness), a* (red-green component), and b* (yellow-blue component) values were determined with laboratory-made software. A dedicated light-box containing white-color LEDs as light source was made of white acrylic to make constant exposure at each photograph. Various settings of the DSC, such as exposure mode, white balance, and so on, that affect analytical figures, were studied with determination of iron with 1,10-phenanthroline. This method was successfully applied to the determinations of iron in a river water sample and of residual chlorine in tap water samples with N,N-diethylphenylenediamine (DPD). 相似文献

Formation of charge-transfer complexes with trinitrotoluene (TNT) as a common acceptor was studied in detail by using dimethyltoluidine (DMT), poly-N-dimethyl-p-aminostyrene (poly-ASt), and also copolymers of aminostyrene (ASt) and styrene (St) as donors. A smooth bathochromic shift in λmax was observed with increasing ASt unit content in copolymers. Values of the constant for charge transfer complex formation KCT were found to increase smoothly with ASt unit content. However, the KCT value with DMT did not coincide with the value extrapolated from the plot of KCT value versus ASt unit content to zero ASt unit content, but was found to be much higher than the limiting value, in contradiction to the results obtained with maleic anhydride (MAnh). The entropy of complex formation with DMT was found to be exceptionally small; this small value may be responsible for the high KCT value with DMT. 相似文献

Abstract— Stentor coeruleus responds to a sudden increase in light intensity with a step-up photophobic response (avoiding reaction), and to collimated light with negative phototaxis. The peaks of the action spectra for the photophobic response and for the phototaxis are in common, 610 nm.

1,1′-Dialkylferrocene-3,3′-dicarbaldehydes ( 1a–c ) with long alkyl chains such as ethyl, hexyl, and dodecyl groups were prepared in 13–25% yield via three-step reactions. The titanium-induced dicarbonyl-coupling reaction of 1a–c gave poly(1,1′-dialkyl-3,3′-ferrocenylenevi-nylene)s ( 2a–c ) in quantitative yields, which were the molecular weights of 3000–10,000 and highly soluble in chloroform, benzene, and hexane. Phenyltrimethylsilane possesses a higher HOMO energy (–9.34 eV) than nonsubstituted benzene (>0.41 eV). The π electron of the phenyltrimethylsilane localizes on the benzene ring at the ipso position rather than at the para position. Two center energies calculated by the MNDO-PM3 method indicate that the C? Si bond is facilitated to cleave in comparison with the C? H (para position) one of the benzene ring. Phenyltrimethylsilane and phenyl bis(trimethylsilane) were polymerized with sulfur chloride through the cationic oxidative polymerization. The product is isolated as oligo(p-phenylene sulfide), with a melting point of 150–190°C. An electrophile attacks the carbon atom linked to the Si atom in phenyltrimethylsilane. We report a case of a 55-year-old woman with polycystic liver disease that we examined with magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, CT and ultrasound. The MR images demonstrated varying intensities in the cyst contents which we believe is due to different degrees and age of hemorrhage. The electrochemical polymerization technique has been successfully applied to produce conducting polymer film of controlled ion exchange properties. Polypyrrole films were prepared by electro-oxidative polymerization with doping some alkylsulfonates or Nafion. The ion exchange characteristics across polypyrrole films were examined by means of a novel electrochemical technique, namely, the in situ electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM) method. According to EQCM measurements, exchanging ion species was found to be successfully controlled by changing the hydrophilic–hydrophobic balance of the incorporated sulfonated-based dopants. The film's characteristics became anion- to cation-exchanging as the dopants became more hydrophobic in nature. Even at ambient temperature or less, below their 0.2% proof stresses all hexagonal close-packed metals and alloys show creep behaviour because they have dislocation arrays lying on a single slip system with no tangled dislocation inside each grain. In this case, lattice dislocations move without obstacles and pile-up in front of a grain boundary. Then these dislocations must be accommodated at the grain boundary to continue creep deformation. Atomic force microscopy revealed the occurrence of grain boundary sliding (GBS) in the ambient-temperature creep region. Lattice rotation of 5° was observed near grain boundaries by electron backscatter diffraction pattern analyses. Because of an extra low apparent activation energy of 20 kJ/mol, conventional diffusion processes are not activated. To accommodate these piled-up dislocations without diffusion processes, lattice dislocations must be absorbed by grain boundaries through a slip-induced GBS mechanism. 相似文献
