The corrosion inhibition properties of horehound (Marrubium vulgare L.) extract (HE) in 1 M hydrochloric acid medium was carried out using electrochemical methods (polarization curve and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy). Experiments were performed by concentration of the inhibitor and temperature effect. The results showed variation in inhibition performance of this plant extract. The Langmuir model was tested to describe the adsorption behavior of the inhibitor on the C38 steel surface. Some thermodynamic functions of dissolution processes were also determined.  相似文献

Corrosion inhibition efficiencies of 1,4-dihydroquinoxaline-2,3-dione (Q1) and 2-phenylthieno[2,3-b]quinoxaline (Q2) as corrosion inhibitors against the corrosion of steel surface in hydrochloric acid is studied by means of density functional approach B3LYP/6-31G calculations. Quantum chemical parameters such as highest occupied molecular orbital energy (E HOMO), lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy (E LUMO), energy gap (ΔE), dipole moment (μ), electronegativity (χ), electron affinity (A), global hardness (η), softness (σ), ionization potential (I), the fraction of electrons transferred (?N), the global electrophilicity ω, and the total energy were calculated. All calculations have been performed by considering density functional theory using the GAUSSIAN03W suite of programs.  相似文献

Inhibition of corrosion of carbon steel in phosphoric acid solution by use of l-cysteine methyl ester hydrochloride has been investigated by measurement of weight loss and use of electrochemical methods. The efficiency of inhibition was increased by increasing the concentration of the inhibitor and reduced by increasing the temperature. Polarization studies revealed that this compound behaves as mixed-type inhibitor. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy showed that dissolution of the steel occurs as a result of charge-transfer. Adsorption of the inhibitor obeyed the Langmuir adsorption isotherm. Kinetic and thermodynamic data were calculated and are discussed.  相似文献

The corrosion inhibition of copper and zinc in 0.1 M HNO3 by 1,2,3,4-tetrazole (TTZ) and some of its derivatives has been analysed in a comparative study. Two experimental techniques have been used such as weight-loss and electrochemical polarization measurements. The results obtained reveal that the addition of these compounds reduces preferentially the corrosion of Cu rather than that of Zn. The adsorption of tetrazolic compounds on a copper surface was more favourable than their adsorption on a zinc surface. Moreover the inhibition efficiency calculated for copper was found to attain 95% in the presence of 1-phenyl-5-mercapto-1,2,3,4-tetrazole (PMT) while it remains constant at 1% for all compounds tested using zinc as electrode. Relationship between molecular structure and their inhibition efficiency was elucidated by quantum chemical calculations using the density functional theory (DFT).  相似文献

In this study, we combine magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE), with the screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) modified by a molecular imprinted polymer (MIP) for sensitive and selective extraction and electrochemical determination of Rhodamine B in food samples. A magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) was carried out using magnetic poly(styrene-co-divinylbenzene) (PS-DVB) and magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) synthetized on the surface of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). An MIP was prepared on the surface of MWCNTs in the presence of titanium oxide nanoparticles (TiO2NPs) modifying the SPCE for the rapid electrochemical detection of Rhodamine B. The MIPs synthesis was optimized by varying the activated titanium oxide (TiO2) and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) amounts. The MSPE and electrochemical detection conditions were optimized as well. The present method exhibited good selectivity, high sensitivity, and good reproducibility towards the determination of Rhodamine B, making it a suitable method for the determination of Rhodamine B in food samples.  相似文献

A rapid and simple method for the direct screening of paraquat (PQ) and diquat (DQ) in olive oil samples is proposed. The sample screening method involves supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) (clean-up followed by the extraction of the analytes) followed by continuous flow electrochemical detection. Those samples for which the total concentration is close to or above the threshold limit established by the Columbian Society for Social Protection (0.05mugg(-1)) are subsequently analyzed by liquid chromatography (LC) with diode array detection (DAD). This confirmation method allows the determination of PQ and DQ in the range between 0.04 and 1.0mugg(-1), with average relative standard deviations lower than 3.5%, and 0.003 and 0.002mugg(-1) detection limits for PQ and DQ, respectively. The proposed arrangement opens up interesting prospects for the direct determination of polar pesticides in complex samples with a good throughput and a high level of automation.  相似文献

The efficiency of 1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-amine (Tz1), 4-amino-3-hydrazino-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol (Tz2), and 1H-1,2,4-triazole-3,5-diamine (Tz3) as inhibitors of corrosion of copper in nitric acid was investigated by use of density functional theory (DFT). Quantum chemical data, for example energy of the highest occupied molecular orbital (E HOMO), energy of the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (E LUMO), energy gap (ΔE), dipole moment (μ), electronegativity (χ), electron affinity (A), global hardness (η), softness (σ), ionization potential (I), fraction of electrons transferred from the inhibitor molecules to the metallic atom (ΔN), and total energy (TE), were calculated. All calculations were performed by use of DFT with Gaussian 03W software. A good correlation was found between theoretical data and experimental results.  相似文献

Inhibition of corrosion of copper in 1M HNO3 solution by four amino acids, proline (Pro), phenylalanine (Phe), tyrosine (Tyr), and tryptophan (Try), has been studied by use of gravimetric and electrochemical polarization measurements. The results obtained the from two different techniques are comparable, and show that Tyr and Try act as good inhibitors of corrosion of copper in 1 mol L?1 HNO3. Correlation between inhibition efficiency and quantum chemical calculations, performed using semi empirical (AM1 and MNDO) and ab-initio methods, is discussed.  相似文献
