Complexes of N-Phosphorylated Thioureas RNHC(S)NHP(O)(OiPr)2 (R = 2-MeC6H4, 2,6-Me2C6H3, 2,4,6-Me3C6H2) With Nickel(II)

The reaction of O,O′-diisopropylphosphoric acid isothiocyanate (iPrO)₂P(O)NCS with 2-methylaniline 2-MeC₆H₄NH₂, 2,6-dimethylaniline 2,6-Me₂C₆H₃NH₂, or 2,4,6-trimethylaniline 2,4,6-Me₃C₆H₂NH₂ leads to the N-phosphorylated thioureas RNHC(S)NHP(O)(OiPr)₂ (R = 2-MeC₆H₄?, HL^I ; 2,6-Me₂C₆H₃?, HL^II ; 2,4,6-Me₃C₆H₂?, HL^III ). Reaction of the potassium salts of HL^{I –III} with Ni(II) in aqueous EtOH leads to [Ni(L^I–III-N,S)₂] ([NiL^I–III ₂ ]) chelate complexes. The compounds obtained were investigated by ¹H, ³¹P{¹H} NMR spectroscopy and microanalysis. The molecular structure of the thiourea HL^III was elucidated by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Single crystal X-ray diffraction studies showed that HL^III forms both intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonds, which in turn leads to the formation of polymeric chains. One of the intermolecular hydrogen bonds is of the type N?H…S. Moreover, the formation of intermolecular C?H…η⁶-phenyl interactions was established.

Some Theorems on Leibniz n-Algebras from the Category Un(Lb)

We study the Leibniz n-algebra Un(∑),whose multiplication is defined viathe bracket of a Leibniz algebra ∑ as[x1,...,xn]=[x1,[...,[xn-2,[xn-1,xn]]...]].Weshow that Un(∑) is simple if and only if ∑ is a simple Lie algebra.An analog of Levi'stheorem for Leibniz algebras in Un(Lb) is established and it is proven that the Leibnizn-kernel of Un(Σ) for any semisimple Leibniz algebra Σ is the n-algebra Un(Σ).

Determination of the molecular weight of polyoxypropylenepolyols by <Superscript>1</Superscript>H NMR spectroscopy

Commercial and laboratory samples of polyoxypropylenepolyols were studied by ¹H NMR spectroscopy at operating frequencies of 100 and 500 MHz. Various methods depending on the solvent used were suggested for determining the equivalent weight (molecular weight of the polyether per terminal hydroxy group). The ¹H NMR data are compared to the data obtained by chemical methods and gel permeation chromatography.     

Iterative Algebras without Projections

We deal with iterative algebras of functions of -valued logic lacking projections, which we call algebras without projections. It is shown that a partially ordered set of algebras of functions of -valued logic, for , without projections contains an interval isomorphic to the lattice of all iterative algebras of functions of -valued logic. It is found out that every algebra without projections is contained in some maximal algebra without projections, which is the stabilizer of a semigroup of non-surjective transformations of the basic set. It is proved that the stabilizer of a semigroup of all monotone non-surjective transformations of a linearly ordered 3-element set is not a maximal algebra without projections, but the stabilizer of a semigroup of all transformations preserving an arbitrary non one-element subset of the basic set is.     

Novel types of boronated chlorin e6 conjugates via ‘click chemistry’

Conjugates of chlorin e₆ with closo‐dodecaborate and cobalt bis(dicarbollide) anions were synthesized for the first time in high yields using the advanced ‘click’ methodology. In vitro study on A549 human lung adenocarcinoma cells revealed that the synthesized boronated conjugates are able to penetrate and accumulate in cancer cells, but their intracellular concentration is not sufficient for effective photodynamic and boron neutron capture therapy of cancer.
