Novel cytotoxic brominated diterpenes from the red alga Laurencia obtusa   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
Five new brominated diterpenes, along with two known, have been isolated from the organic extract of the red alga Laurencia obtusa, collected from the coastal rocks of Preveza in the Ionean Sea, Greece. The novel metabolites prevezols B-E possess two new carbon skeletons, to the best of our knowledge, unprecedented in the literature. The structures and the relative stereochemistry of the new natural products were established by means of spectral data analyses. The new metabolites were tested for their cytotoxic activity against five human cell lines. Two metabolites have exhibited significant cytotoxicity.  相似文献

Two new metabolites including a new aszonalenin analogue (1c) and a new meroditerpene (3) were isolated, together with aszonalenin (1a), acetylaszonalenin (1b), 13-oxofumitremorgin B (2), aszonapyrone A (4b) and helvolic acid, from the culture of the soil fungus Neosartorya fischeri (KUFC 6344). While the ethyl acetate extract of the culture of the diseased coral-derived fungus Neosartorya laciniosa (KUFC 7896) furnished aszonapyrone B (4a), aszonapyrone A (4b), tryptoquivaline L and 3′-(4-oxoquinazolin-3-yl) spiro[1H-indole-3,5′-oxolane]-2,2′-dione, the ethyl acetate extract of the culture of the marine sponge-associated fungus Neosartorya tsunodae (KUFC 9213) yielded a new analogue of chevalone C (5) and helvolic acid. The structures of the new compounds were established based on 1D and 2D NMR spectral analysis as well as HR-ESIMS. Compounds 1ac, 2, 3, 4a, 4b and 5 were evaluated for their in vitro growth inhibitory activity on the MCF-7 (breast adenocarcinoma), NCI-H460 (non-small cell lung cancer) and A375-C5 (melanoma) cell lines by the protein binding dye SRB method.  相似文献

The chemical diversity of the approximately 1,200 natural products isolated from red algae of the genus Laurencia, in combination with the wide range of their biological activities, have placed species of Laurencia in the spotlight of marine chemists’ attention for over 60 years. The chemical investigation of the organic (CH2Cl2/MeOH) extracts of Laurencia microcladia and Laurencia obtusa, both collected off the coasts of Tinos island in the Aegean Sea, resulted in the isolation of 32 secondary metabolites, including 23 C15 acetogenins (1–23), 7 sesquiterpenes (24–30) and 2 diterpenes (31 and 32). Among them, six new C15 acetogenins, namely 10-acetyl-sagonenyne (2), cis-sagonenyne (3), trans-thuwalenyne C (4), tinosallene A (11), tinosallene B (12) and obtusallene XI (17), were identified and their structures were elucidated by extensive analysis of their spectroscopic data. Compounds 1–3, 5–11, 13 and 15–32 were evaluated for their antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.  相似文献

Certain aspects of the concentration dependence of the diffusion coefficient and on the mechanism of sorption of water vapour in PMMA are investigated. Early time integral sorption kinetics follow the Fickian pattern of initial linearity. Diffusion coefficients deduced from the slopes of these lines are independent of concentration and satisfactorily agree with those obtained from late-time analysis; however, desorption values are higher throughout the whole range of activities than the corresponding absorption ones. On the contrary, typical “non-Fickian” features are discerned in differential absorption kinetics on membranes of different thickness. These anomalies are attributed to rate-determining relaxation processes concurrent with diffusion, whereas other sorption models are incompatible with the general behaviour of this system. General trends of the equilibrium and kinetic data are compared with those of other polymer—water systems and the observed differences are interpreted in terms of the molecular relaxation model.  相似文献

The sesquiterpene hydroquinone avarol (1) was isolated from the marine sponge Dysidea avara, whereas the corresponding quinone, avarone (2), was obtained by oxidation of avarol, and the significantly more lipophilic compounds [3'-(p-chloro-phenyl)avarone (3), 3',4'-ethylenedithioavarone (4), 4'-isopropylthioavarone (5), 4'-tert-butylthioavarone (6), 4'-propylthioavarone (7), 4'-octylthioavarone (8)] were obtained by nucleophilic addition of thiols or p-chloroaniline to avarone. All these compounds were tested, at concentrations ranging from 0.5 to 50 microg/mL, for their effect on the settlement of the cyprid stage of Balanus amphitrite, for toxicity to both nauplii and cyprids and for their growth inhibitory activity on marine bacteria (Cobetia marina, Marinobacterium stanieri, Vibrio fischeri and Pseudoalteromonas haloplanktis) and marine fungi (Halosphaeriopsis mediosetigera, Asteromyces cruciatus, Lulworthia uniseptata and Monodictys pelagica).  相似文献

The capabilities of atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) and electrospray ionization (ESI) methods for quantitative analysis of polar and ionic compounds in petroleum fractions have been examined. The requirements of the analysis for sensitivity, linear dynamic range, and structural characterization have been discussed. ESI was found to be approximately two orders of magnitude more sensitive than APCI and is most suitable for the detection of analytes in weak concentrations. Equivalent relative linear dynamic ranges were observed by the two methods (at least three orders of magnitude). For the relatively high analyte concentrations examined here (e.g., 1-100 ppm or higher), the absolute area counts increased linearly with the analyte amount only in APCI, making this method more attractive for quantitative liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) applications. Nevertheless, a wider range of ionic compounds can be detected by ESI than by APCI.  相似文献

Glandulaurencianols A and B were isolated from the organic extract of the red alga, Laurencia glandulifera, collected from the island of Crete in South Greece. Investigation of the mollusk, Aplysia punctata, collected from the coast of Nea Makri, Central Greece, resulted in the isolation of glandulaurencianols A and C. The structures of the new metabolites, as well as their relative configurations, were established on the basis of thorough analyses of their spectroscopic data.  相似文献
