The Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 FINEMET alloy has been prepared by the rapid solidification technique. The critical behaviour of this alloy in the amorphous as well as in its nanocrystalline states has been studied near their respective Curie temperatures. From the values of the critical exponents one can conclude that the alloy behaves like a 3D Heisenberg ferromagnet in the amorphous and nanocrystalline states. But there exists a slight increase in the value of β for the alloy annealed at 823 K (the nanocrystalline state) as observed in most of the amorphous alloys.  相似文献

This study aimed to investigate the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and biosorption properties of starch nanocrystals (SNC). The characterization of synthesized SNC was done using various analytical techniques like microscopic and spectroscopic analysis. The antioxidant property was determined using DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) assay and metal ion chelating assay. SNC showed the highest scavenging activity of 70.03?±?0.74% at 100 µg/mL concentration. Protein denaturation assay and proteinase inhibitory assay depicted the anti-inflammatory property of SNC. The results revealed that the maximum inhibition activity was found at 100 µg/mL with 72.71% inhibition. The maximum removal efficiency was found to be 83.42% at pH 2.0 with 0.15 g biosorbent. As the pH increases, biosorption capacity of SNC were reduced from 8.17 to 6.30 mg/g and the efficiency of the dye removal was decreased from 80.95 to 36.01%. The shape of synthesized SNC was spherical nanoplatelets and it shows agglomeration. The Langmuir isotherm model is best suited for the biosorption experiments with the R2 value of 0.986. SNC were subjected to cytotoxic and phytotoxic evaluation. Cell viability and phytotoxic assays proves the non-toxic nature of the SNC.

Elastic scattering angular distributions have been measured for 58Ni+64Ni at three energies around the Coulomb barrier employing a new kinematic coincidence technique. The data are compared with the results of coupled-channels calculations including inelastic excitations as well as one-and two-neutron transfer reactions. The synthesis and characterization of Ru(II) terpyridine complexes derived from 4'-functionalized 2,2':6',2'-terpyridine ligands by a multi step procedure have been described. The complexes are redox-active, showing both metal-centred (oxidation) and ligand-centred (reduction) processes. The antibacterial and antifungal activity of the synthesized ruthenium(II) complexes [Ru(attpy)2](PF6)2 (attpy = 4'-(4-acryloyloxymethylphenyl)-2,2':6',2'-terpyridine); [Ru(mttpy)2](PF6)2 (mttpy = 4'-(4-methacryloyloxymethylphenyl)-2,2':6',2'- terpyridine); [Ru(mttpy)(MeOPhttpy)](PF6)2 (MeOPhttpy = 4'-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2,2':6',2'-terpyridine); and [Ru(mttpy)(ttpy)](PF6)2 (ttpy = 4'-(4-methylphenyl)-2,2':6',2'-terpyridine) were tested against four human pathogens (Proteus vulgaris, Proteus mirabilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli) and five plant pathogens (Curvularia lunata, Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium udum, Macrophomina phaseolina and Rhizoctonia solani) by the well diffusion method and MIC values of the complexes are reported. A biological study of the complexes indicated that the complexes [Ru(mttpy)2](PF6)2 and [Ru(mttpy)(MeOPhttpy)](PF6)2 exhibit very good activity against most of the test pathogens and their activity is better than those of some of the commercially available antibiotics like tetracycline and the fungicide carbendazim.  相似文献

Twelve surfactant Schiff base ligands were synthesized from salicylaldehyde and its chloro-, bromo- and methoxy- derivatives by condensation with long-chain aliphatic primary amines, and a number of mixed ligand cobalt(III) surfactant Schiff base coordination complexes of the type [Co(trien)A]2+ were synthesized from the corresponding dihalogeno complexes by ligand substitution. The Schiff bases and their complexes were characterized by physico-chemical and spectroscopic methods. The complexes form foams in aqueous solution upon shaking. The critical micelle concentration (CMC) values of the complexes in aqueous solution were obtained from conductance measurements. Specific conductivity data (at 303–323 K) served for the evaluation of the thermodynamics of micellization ( \Updelta G\textm0 \Updelta G_{\text{m}}^{0} , \Updelta H\textm0 \Updelta H_{\text{m}}^{0} , \Updelta S\textm0 \Updelta S_{\text{m}}^{0} ). A novel Pd/sulfoxide-catalyzed macrolactonization reaction of linear omega-alkenoic acids is reported that proceeds via serial ligand-catalyzed allylic C-H oxidation. The scope of this macrolactonization appears to be very broad. Aryl, alkyl, and (Z)-alpha,beta-unsaturated acids are all competent nucleophiles for this reaction, with the latter undergoing macrolactonization with no olefin isomerization. High functional group compatibility is observed that includes biologically and medicinally relevant functionality such as ortho-substituted salicylate esters, bis(indoyl)maleimides, and peptides. Evidence is provided to support the hypothesis that macrolactonization proceeds via inner-sphere functionalization from a templated pi-allylPd carboxylate intermediate.  相似文献

We are reporting a mild, chemo-, and highly regioselective Pd(II)-catalyzed allylic oxidation of alpha-olefins to furnish branched allylic esters that proceeds via a novel serial ligand catalysis mechanism in which two different ligands (i.e., vinyl sulfoxide 2 and BQ) interact sequentially with the metal to promote distinct steps of the catalytic cycle (i.e., C-H cleavage and pi-allyl functionalization, respectively).  相似文献
