Different-sized aerosols were collected by an Andersen air sampler to observe the detailed morphology of the black carbon (BC) aerosols which were separated chemically from the other accompanying aerosols, using a Scanning Electron Microscope equipped with an Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectrometer (SEM-EDX). The results indicate that most BC aerosols are spherical particles of about 50 nm in diameter and with a homogeneous surface. Results also show that these particles aggregate with other aerosols or with themselves to form larger agglomerates in the micrometer range. The shape of these 50-nm BC spherical particles was found to be very similar to that of BC particles released from petroleum-powered vehicular internal combustion engines. These spherical BC particles were shown to be different from the previously reported fullerenes found using Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Time-Of-Flight Mass Spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS). 相似文献

In this study, a green protocol for supporting CuO nanoparticles over chitosan-modified amino-magnetic nanoparticles is described. The physicochemical and morphological properties of the desired nanocomposite assessed by various techniques like ICP, FT-IR, FE-SEM, EDX, TEM, XRD and VSM. In the oncological part of the recent study, the Cu(NO3)2, Fe3O4, and Fe3O4-NH2@CS/CuO nanocomposite cell viability was very low against human gastric cancer cell lines i.e. MKN45, AGS, and KATO III and human colorectal carcinoma cell lines i.e. HT-29, HCT 116, HCT-8 [HRT-18], and Ramos.2G6.4C10. The IC50 of Fe3O4-NH2@CS/CuO nanocomposite against MKN45, AGS, KATO III, HT-29, HCT 116, HCT-8 [HRT-18], and Ramos.2G6.4C10 cell lines were 517, 525, 544, 282, 214, 420, and 477 µg/mL, respectively. Thereby, the best anti-gastro-duodenal cancers findings of our Fe3O4-NH2@CS/CuO nanocomposite was seen in the HCT 116 cell line case. 相似文献

Integrated analytical techniques were used to study the tissue distribution and structural information of gold nanorods (Au
NRs) in Sprague-Dawley rats through tail intravenous injection. Before in vivo experiments were conducted, careful characterization
of Au NRs was performed. The zeta potential proved that adsorption of bovine serum albumin on Au NRs turned the surface charges
from positive to negative as in an in vitro simulation. The biodistribution of Au NRs was investigated quantitatively by inductively
coupled plasma mass spectrometry at different time points after injection. As target tissues, both liver and spleen were chosen
to further demonstrate the intracellular localization of Au NRs by the combination of transmission electron microscopy and
energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. Moreover, synchrotron-radiation-based X-ray absorption spectroscopy was employed and
it was observed that long-term retention of Au NRs in liver and spleen did not induce obvious changes in the oxidation states
of gold. Therefore, the present systematic method can provide important information about the fates of Au NRs in vivo and
can also be extended to study the biological effects of other metallic nanomaterials in the future.
