A negative-ion-based neutral beam injector (N-NBI) has been constructed for JT-60U. The N-NBI is designed to inject 500 keV, 10 MW neutral beams using two ion sources, each producing a 500 keV, 22 A D− ion beam. In the preliminary experiment using one ion source, a D− ion beam of 13.5 A has been successfully accelerated with an energy of 400 keV (5.4 MW) for 0.12 s at an operating pressure of 0.22 Pa. This is the highest D− beam current and power in the world. Co-extracted electron current was effectively suppressed to the ratio of Ie/ID− < 1. The highest energy beam of 460 keV, 2.4 A, 0.44 s has also been obtained. To realize 1 MeV class NBI system for ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor), demonstration of ampere class negative ion beam acceleration up to 1 MeV is an important mile stone. To achieve the mile stone, a prototype accelerator and a 1 MV, 1 A test facility called MeV Test Facility (MTF) were constructed. Up to now, an H− ion beam was accelerated up to the energy of 805 keV with an acceleration drain current of 150 mA for 1 s in a five stage electrostatic multi-aperture accelerator. 相似文献

A novel potentiometric membrane electrode with selective response to L-glutamate over the 2 × 10-4–1.3 × 10-2 M concentration range is constructed by immobilizing slices of yellow squash tissue at a CO2 gas sensor. This system represents the first successful use of intact plant materials as biocatalysts in the construction of bioselective potentiometric membrane electrodes; as a result, the range of future possibilities may be greatly extended. The glutamate-sensing electrode combines excellent selectivity characteristics over some 25 possible interferences tested, good reproducibility, and a useful lifetime of 7 days in aqueous samples. 相似文献

We examined the crystallization of palm mid fraction (PMF) in oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion, after adding polyglycerol fatty acid esters (PGFEs). We employed ultrasonic velocity measurements and DSC techniques, with special emphases on the influences of fatty acid moiety and esterification of PGFE. Twelve types of PGFEs were examined as additives. PGFEs have a large hydrophilic moiety composed of 10 glycerol molecules to which palmitic, stearic and behenic acids were esterified as the fatty acid moiety with different degrees of esterification. Crystallization temperature (T(c)) of PMF remarkably increased with increasing concentrations of the PGFEs as the chain length of the fatty acid moiety increased, and the PGFE became more hydrophobic in accordance with increasing degree of esterification. We observed that the heterogeneous nucleation of PMF in the O/W emulsion was activated at the oil-water interface, where the template effect of very hydrophobic long saturated fatty acid chains of the PGFE might play the main role of heterogeneous nucleation. 相似文献

Summary Swelling effects of carbon tetrachloride on the mechanical relaxations in the crystal mat and the melt-crystallized samples of high density polyethylene were studied using a torsion pendulum. A very strong-relaxation peak appears by swelling at the low temperature side of the original-relaxation for the crystal mat. It was shown that this strong-relaxation originates from the slippage between the highly swollen lamellae. For the melt-crystallized sample, the-relaxation peak is decreased by swelling, but its temperature is unchanged. This behavior suggests that the-relaxation in the melt-crystallized sample originates mainly from deformation process of intermosaic block region. The swelling effect on-relaxation was also discussed.
Zusammenfassung Quellungseffekte von Tetrachlorkohlenstoff auf das mechanische Relaxationsverhalten in Einkristall-Matten und schmelzkristallisierten Proben von linearem Polyäthylen wurden mit den Torsionspendeln untersucht. Ein sehr starkes-Maximum tritt durch die Quellung bei tieferen Temperaturen als der der-Relaxation in den nicht gequollenen Einkristall-Matten auf. Es wird gezeigt, daß diese starke-Relaxation auf das Gleiten der ausreichend gequollenen Lamellen zurückzuführen ist. Bei schmelzkristallisierten Proben wird das-Maximum durch die Quellung erniedrigt, seine Temperaturlage wird jedoch nicht verändert. Dies zeigt, daß die-Relaxation in der schmelzkristallisierten Probe hauptsäcblich auf Deformations-Prozessen in den Blöcken beruht. The mechanism of photocycloaddition of 2′-deoxyuridine (1a) and thymidine (1b) to 2,3-dimethyl-2-butene (Bu) in acetonitrile by UV irradiation has been studied. The reciprocal quantum yield for the cycloaddition increased linearly with reciprocal concentrations of Bu in acetonitrile to give limiting quantum yields at infinite concentration of Bu as 0.030 and 0.0096 for 1a and 1b , respectively. This shows that the cycloaddition proceeds in a two-step mechanism between the triplet state of 1 and Bu through biradical intermediates. Addition of cis-1,3-pentadiene quenched the reaction obeying the Stern–Volmer equation. The above quenching experiments and laser transient spectroscopy revealed that the triplet state of 1a reacts with Bu with much larger rate constant (1.3–1.6 × 109 M?1 s?1) than that of 1b (4–5 × 107 M?1 s?1) reflecting larger steric hindrance exerted in the reaction of 1b than that of 1a . 相似文献
