Molecular and crystal structures of 5,7-dichloro-4-nitro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole and products of its reactions with secondary amines

The molecular and crystal structures of 5,7-dichloro-4-nitro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole and products of its reactions with hexamethyleneimine and dimethylamine were established by X-ray diffraction analysis. The molecular structures and the systems of hydrogen bonds in the crystals of these compounds are discussed.     

Halo Derivatives of 2,4-Dinitrothiolene 1,1-Dioxides: Synthesis and Structure

Procedures were developed for preparing representatives of a new type of halonitrothiolene 1,1-dioxides: mono- and dihalo derivatives of 2,2,4-tri- and 2,4-dinitro-3-thiolene 1,1-dioxides. An X-ray diffraction study showed that 2,5-dinitro-2,3-dichloro-3-thiolene 1,1-dioxide molecules exist in the crystal as enantiomeric pairs; the five-membered rings have the envelope conformation, with deviation of the sulfur atom from the ring plane; the halogen atom and nitro group at the multiple bond are essentially coplanar with the ring.     

Reactions of 3,5-di(tert-butyl)-1,2-benzoquinone with terminal acetylenes in the presence of phosphorus trichloride. ipso-Substitution of the tert-butyl group

The reactions of 3,5-di(tert-butyl)-1,2-benzoquinone with aryl-and alkylacetylenes in the presence of phosphorus trichloride afford 4-aryl(alkyl)-8-tert-butyl-2,6-dichloro-2-oxo-2H-benzo[e][1,2]oxaphosphinines as the major ipso-substitution products of the tert-butyl group by the chlorine atom. 4-Aryl(alkyl)-6,8-di(tert-butyl)-2,5-dichloro-2-oxo-and 4-aryl(alkyl)-6-tert-butyl-2,8-dichloro-2-oxo-2H-benzo[e][1,2]oxaphosphinines were obtained as the minor products. The structures of the stable representatives of this series were confirmed by X-ray diffraction. Dedicated to Academician G. A. Abakumov on the occasion of his 70th birthday. Condensed tetrazolo-1,3,5-triazines. 4. Synthesis of salts of 5-aminotetrazolo[1,5-a]-1,3,5-triazin-7-one

2-Amino-4-azido-1,3,5-triazin-6(1H)-ones were synthesized by successive substitution of the trinitromethyl groups in 2-amino-4,6-bis(trinitromethyl)-1,3,5-triazines under the influence of azide and nitrite ions. Interaction of 2-amino-4-azido-1,3,5-triazin-6(1H)-ones with bases led to the azido-tetrazole tautomeric conversion give salts of 5-aminotetrazolo[1,5-a]-1,3,5-triazin-7-one. __________ Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 8, pp. 1211–1219, August, 2006.     

Reactions of α-Aminoalkylphosphonates with Iso(thio)cyanatophosphates(phosphonates,phosphinates). Synthesis of 1,3,4-Diazaphospholidines and 1,3,4-Oxaza(thiaza)phospholines

Phenyl -aminoalkylphosphonates add to phenyl iso(thio)cyanates to give saturated heterocycles, 1,3,4-diazaphospholidin-2-(thi)ones. The reaction of diphenyl (-methylamino)benzylphosphonate with diethyl isothiocyanatophosphate involves initial formation of 1,3,4-tiazaphospholidine-2-thiones containing exo- and endocyclic phosphorus atoms. These products are readily hydrolyzed in air, yielding diethyl isothio- cyanatophosphate and phenyl hydrogen (-methylamino)benzylphosphonate. The final products of the reaction of chloromethyl isocyanatophosphonates with aminoalkylphosphonates are 1,3,4-oxazaphospholines. Phenyl aminoalkylphosphonates react with chloromethyl isocyanatophosphonates to give saturated heterocycles, 1,3,4-diazaphospholidines, whereas with chloromethyl isothiocyanatophosphonates 1,3,4-thiazaphospholines are formed.     

Synthesis and Structure of Tetraphenylantimony Nitrate

The reaction of pentaphenylantimony with triphenylantimony dinitrate in toluene gives tetraphenylantimony nitrate in 99% yield. The X-ray diffraction data show that the antimony atom in the molecule of tetraphenylantimony nitrate has a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination with axial location of the oxygen atom of the nitrate group. The Sb-O, Sb_{a x}, and Sb-C_{e q} bond lengths in two independent molecules of tetraphenylantimony nitrate are 2.498(3), 2.548(2); 2.134(3), 2.138(3); and 2.101(3)-2.112 Å.     

Rearrangement of O,O’-bis(2-benzylideneaminophenyl) phenylphosphonite into 1,6,7-triphenyl-3,4:9,10-dibenzo-2,11-dioxa-5,8-diaza-1-phosphatricyclo[6.3.0.01,5]undeca-3,9-diene

Keeping of O,O’-bis(2-benzylideneaminophenyl) phenylphosphonite in a CCl4 solution for 50 days resulted in its spontaneous rearrangement into 1,6,7-triphenyl-3,4:9,10-dibenzo-2,11-dioxa-5,8-diaza-1-phosphatricyclo[6.3.0.01,5]undeca-3,9-diene, a representative of spirophosphoranes with P–N bonds.     

New aminomethylphosphines with cyanophenyl substituents at the nitrogen atoms

A condensation of bis(hydroxymethyl)arylphosphines with 3- and 4-aminobenzonitriles leads to the corresponding 3,7-diaryl-1,5-bis(cyanophenyl)-1,5-diaza-3,7-diphosphacyclooctanes. Acyclic (aryl)bis[N-(2-cyanophenyl)aminomethyl]phosphines are formed in the case of 2-aminobenzonitrile. Molecular and crystalline structure of the compounds obtained was studied by X-ray diffraction analysis.     

Novel Copper(I) Complexes and Clusters with Phosphorus-Sulfur and Sulfur-Sulfur Containing Ligands

Abstract

The synthesis and coordination chemistry of ligands bearing PS donor groups in complexes with copper(I) halides, in particular thiophosphites, thiophosphonites, and thiophosphinites, are described.
