Electroreduction of CuO-V2O5 in sulfolane containing lithium perchlorate

Variations in the composition of polymetallic oxide system V₂O₅-CuO are found to be accompanied by a gradual change in electrochemical properties. Average discharge voltage of copper vanadates 2CuO-V₂O₅ and 4CuO-V₂O₅ is higher than that of V₂O₅. The depth of electroreduction of 2CuO-V₂O₅,3CuO-V₂O₅, and 4CuO-V₂O₅ is, respectively, 3.32, 3.0, and 2.7 electrons per mole of vanadium, which is almost twice that of V₂O₅.     

Physicochemical and electrochemical properties of sulfolane solutions of lithium salts

The physicochemical and electrochemical properties (electrical conductivity, viscosity, density, and electrochemical stability) of sulfolane solutions of various lithium salts are studied. The nature of the anion considerably affects the physicochemical and electrochemical properties of the electrolyte systems considered. Sulfolane solutions of lithium salts have moderate electrical conductivity and high electrochemical stability, and can be used as electrolytes in lithium batteries.

Preparation of complexes of sulfoxides of petroleum origin and tributyl phosphate with chlorides of rare-earth elements

Conclusions Conditions were found for obtaining the complexes of petroleum sulfoxides and tributyl phosphate with the chlorides of the rare-earth elements with a coordination number of 9, 7, and 6. Physicochemical Properties of Lithium Perchlorate Solutions in Mixtures of Sulfolane with 1,3-Dioxolane

The electrical conductivity, viscosity, and density of sulfolane-1,3-dioxolane mixtures and 1 M lithium perchlorate solutions on their base were studied. The activation energies of viscous flow and electrical conductivity were calculated. Departures of some of the measured values from additivity are demonstrated.
