The aim of this work was to study the effect of tris(3-nitrophenyl) phosphine (NPPh3), which showed a good thermal stability and carbon-forming ability, on the flame retardancy and thermal degradation mechanism of epoxy resins. A series of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) loaded with tris(3-nitrophenyl) phosphine (NPPh3) were prepared. It was found that NPPh3 can effectively improve the flame retardancy and thermal stability of the composites. When the loading amount of NPPh3 was 14%, the LOI value of the DGEBA composites was 29.2% (about 1.53 times the corresponding value of the original DGEBA resin). Thermal stability was studied by thermogravimetric analysis, and the results showed that the addition of NPPh3 can improve char formation of this system both in nitrogen and in air atmosphere. Specifically, its combustion residue at 800 °C in nitrogen atmosphere was about 4.26 times of the original resin. Differential scanning calorimetry indicated that NPPh3 slightly decreased the glass transition temperature of epoxy resins. Additionally, the gaseous degradation products were analyzed by thermogravimetric analysis/infrared spectrometry, providing insight into the thermal degradation mechanism. Scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transform infrared were brought together to evaluate the morphology and structure of the residual char obtained after combustion.  相似文献

Histamine is a biogenic amine synthesized by the enzymatic decarboxylation of histidine. Implication of histamine in allergy is well described but histamine is also found in some specific neurones, functions as a neurotransmitter and regulates sleep/wake cycles, hormonal secretion, cardiovascular control and thermo-regulation. We have developed a TR-FRET histamine assay, based on the competition between sample histamine and allophycocyanine (XL665) labelled histamine for binding to a Europium cryptate (EuK) labelled antibody. As histamine is a small monoamine molecule, high affinity antibodies have been raised against carrier protein conjugated histamine. Therefore, sample histamine needs to be derivatized in the same way as the conjugated histamine, so that the antibody will have a similar affinity for both molecules. This acylation step is performed directly in wells and does not need to be done in separate vials, making handling easier for large numbers of samples. The incubation takes place at room temperature for 3 hours. The assay covers a measurement range of 1.56 to 400 nM and shows an analytical sensitivity of 1.3nM. We have shown that miniaturization of sample and reagents volumes down to 20 micro l does not alter these performances. This histamine release assay provides a particularly well adapted procedure for HTS and secondary screening compared to current heterogeneous methods.  相似文献

Summary. The degradation of imazapyr, an imidazolinone herbicide, in aqueous solution has been investigated with TiO2 slurry as photocatalyst at 30°C under UV radiation. The depletion of imazapyr concentration in an aqueous suspension followed 1st order kinetic behavior. The influence of pH and the charge densities of imazapyr geometries were calculated at the semi-empirical AM1 level, and the effect of temperature was investigated. The addition of electron acceptors such as potassium persulfate and hydrogen peroxide showed that the rate constant doubled at least. At higher persulfate concentrations the herbicide degradation was more efficient in direct photolysis than TiO2-photocatalysis. The degradation rate constant increased by 38% upon variation of the temperature between 20.0 and 50.0°C and displayed non-Arrhenius behavior.  相似文献

Molybdates are biocidal materials that can be useful in coating surfaces that are susceptible to contamination and the spread of microorganisms. The aim of this work was to investigate the effects of copper doping of hydrated cobalt molybdate, synthesized by the co-precipitation method, on its antibacterial activity and to elucidate the structural and morphological changes caused by the dopant in the material. The synthesized materials were characterized by PXRD, Fourier Transformed Infrared (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis/differential scanning calorimetry (TG/DSC), and SEM-Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS). The antibacterial response of the materials was verified using the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) employing the broth microdilution method. The size of the CoMoO4·1.03H2O microparticles gradually increased as the percentage of copper increased, decreasing the energy that is needed to promote the transition from the hydrated to the beta phase and changing the color of material. CoMoO4·1.03H2O obtained better bactericidal performance against the tested strains of Staphylococcus aureus (gram-positive) than Escherichia coli (gram-negative). However, an interesting point was that the use of copper as a doping agent for hydrated cobalt molybdate caused an increase of MIC value in the presence of E. coli and S. aureus strains. The study demonstrates the need for caution in the use of copper as a doping material in biocidal matrices, such as cobalt molybdate.  相似文献

Agricultural production is influenced by the water content in the soil and availability of fertilizers. Thus, superabsorbent hydrogels, based on polyacrylamide, natural cashew tree gum (CG) and potassium hydrogen phosphate (PHP), as fertilizer and water releaser were developed. The structure, morphology, thermal stability and chemical composition of samples of polyacrylamide and cashew tree gum hydrogels with the presence of fertilizer (HCGP) and without fertilizer (HCG) were investigated, using X-ray diffractometry (XRD), Fourier Transformed Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA/DTG) and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS). Swelling/reswelling tests, textural analysis, effect of pH, release of nutrients and kinetics were determined; the ecotoxicity of the hydrogels was investigated by the Artemia salina test. The results showed that PHP incorporation in the hydrogel favored the crosslinking of chains. This increased the thermal stability in HCGP but decreased the hardness and adhesion properties. The HCGP demonstrated good swelling capacity (~15,000 times) and an excellent potential for reuse after fifty-five consecutive cycles. The swelling was favored in an alkaline pH due to the ionization of hydrophilic groups. The sustained release of phosphorus in HCGP was described by the Korsmeyer–Peppas model, and Fickian diffusion is the main fertilizer release mechanism. Finally, the hydrogels do not demonstrate toxicity, and HCGP has potential for application in agriculture.  相似文献

The shape, characteristics and conditions of working of the syphons that ensure the most efficient fractionating by means of automatic fraction collectors have been investigated. The liquid deliveries to the syphon must be sufficiently slow. With solvents having a low surface tension, the inside diameter of the upper elbow must not be greater than a given value. It is essential that the inside diameter of the lower elbow should become regularly narrower from the inlet tube to the outlet tube. The volume of the liquid remaining in the syphon immediately after draining is smallest for a given diameter of the inlet tube and of the outlet tube, and for a proper radius of the lower elbow. The good working of the syphon depends upon the balance between those various factors that often come into play in opposite ways.Then, from these data, a syphon has been made equipped with a ball float that makes possible the use of non-polar liquids in the automatic fraction collectors electrically controlled.  相似文献
