Three pseudorotaxanes (PpR) comprised of poly (ε-caprolactone) (PCL) and α-cyclodextrin (α-CD) with varying stoichiometric ratios were synthesized and characterized. Wide-angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD) and thermogravimetric (TGA) analyses provided conclusive evidence for complexation between the guest PCL and host α-CD. The as-synthesized and characterized PpRs were used at 10 and 20% concentrations as nucleants to promote the bulk PCL crystallization in composite films. Both WAXD and TGA provided evidence for intact PpR structures in the composite films. Isothermal differential scanning calorimetric (I-DSC) analyses, performed at various crystallization temperatures demonstrated significant differences in the crystallization patterns among the composite films. In addition, I-DSC analyses showed higher Avrami constant values (n) in the PpR-nucleated composite PCL films (n ~ 3), indicating 3-dimensional crystal growth. In the case of neat PCL films, however, lower n values indicated crystal growth in 1-dimensions or 2-dimensions. Moreover, atomic force microscopic analyses showed large crests and pits in PpR-nucleated PCL composites, with irregular morphologies leading to higher surface roughness. To the contrary, the crests and pits were much smaller in the neat PCL films, resulting in lower surface roughness values. Finally, mechanical testing revealed higher tensile strength for PpR-nucleated PCL composites films, demonstrating larger load bearing capabilities. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. A simple, convenient and efficient protocol for the construction of an array of glycospiro-pyrroloisoquinolines using isoquinolinium ylide and a carbohydrate-derived exocyclic olefin in the presence of Cu(OTf)2–Et3N catalytic system is described. Isoquinoline and alkylbromoacetates/2-bromoacetophenones were employed to generate the azomethine ylides in the presence of Et3N in refluxing toluene and subsequent exposure to the olefin led to the desired isoquinoline derivatives.  相似文献

A modest, efficient, and mild synthetic procedure has been developed for the synthesis of novel series of 1,3,4-oxadiazole containing azaspirocycles derivatives. The reaction of 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivative with diverse azaspiro compounds under room temperature condition with helps of sodium iodide catalyst and polar aprotic solvent. Numerous compensations of this strategy embrace less time required, yield increment, consumption of all reactants, and mild condition. All synthesized compounds evaluated for in vitro antidiabetic and antibacterial screening. Among them some compounds show significant biological response.  相似文献

The possible presence of a large magnetic field due to spin polarization of a Cd nucleus (decay product of 111In) at an Al substitutional site in AlN is investigated with perturbed angular correlation (PAC) spectroscopy. The PAC spectra of 111In/111Cd in AlN show two probe environments: a weak quadrupole interaction (quadrupole interaction constant, $\nu _{\rm Q}^{\,\,\,\rm lattice} = 30$  MHz) due to 111In probes at a defect free Al substitutional site and an unknown large interaction ( $\nu _{\rm Q}^{\,\,\,\rm complex} = 300$  MHz) tentatively attributed to a nearest neighbour pair between 111In and a nitrogen vacancy (VN) aligned along the c-axis. Surprisingly, in density functional theory (DFT) calculations, such a large electric field gradient (EFG) could not be reproduced. However, an inclusion of spin polarization in the calculations indicates a strong magnetic field at ~50 % of the 111In/111Cd site. An attempt to verify the presence of the strong magnetic field and to explain the origin of the strong interaction is made. Orientation measurements show, the large interaction is not characterised by a magnetic interaction and is predominantly due to the EFG. However, in the presence of an external magnetic field, the strong interaction probe environment becomes more uniform and the EFG increases by ~10 %. This definitely hints towards some sort of magnetic interaction at the strong interaction probe site.  相似文献

The current research is focused on the cooling of a hot moving steel plate by using air atomized spray cooling technique. A new type of coolant, Cu-Al LDH nanofluid, has been prepared and used for heat flux removal. Preparation method of nanofluid and its characteristics has been reported. The cooling effectiveness is reported in terms of cooling rate by varying the concentration of nanofluid in five levels. The results indicate that the cooling rate increases at very low concentration of LDH with respect to base fluid. However, beyond a certain concentration a decreasing trend of cooling rate has been observed.

A variety of primary alcohols are shown to be converted to the corresponding benzimidazoles in one pot by employing IBX and o-phenylenediamine in DMSO at room temperature. o-Iodobenzoic acid is the end product of IBX, which is employed in 1.0 equiv. Arylmethyl bromides are also shown to be converted likewise to benzimidazoles in moderate yields in one pot, albeit at slightly elevated temperatures.  相似文献
