Synthesis of Calix[4]arene Derivatives Containing a Nucleobase and their Interaction with Complementary Nucleosides at the Air–Water Interface

Amphiphilic calix[4]arene derivatives with a nucleobase on the lower rim have been synthesized in good yields by the condensation of calix[4]arenediamine {5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis(2-aminoethoxy)-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene} with uracilo-N-acetic acid, thymino-N-acetic acid and adenino-N-propionic acid in the presence of CDI in DMF. Monolayers of the amphiphilic calix[4]arene-nucleobase derivatives on the surface of pure water, the aqueous subphases containing complementary nucleosides, were studied by film balance measurement and relaxation experiments. LB films deposited from all subphases were investigated by UV spectra and FT-IR spectroscopy. All the results indicate that the interaction between the nucleobases in the headgroup of amphiphilic p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene derivatives and the complementary nucleosides in the subphase takes place through multiple hydrogen bonding and the nucleosides can be transferred to solid substrates along with their monolayers.     

Highly Selective Synthesis of Methyl 1-Phenyl-1-(9-hydro-)fullerenylacetate

Isomerically pure methyl 1-phenyl-1-(9-hydro-)fullerenylacetat is synthesized in 75% yield by the reaction of C₆₀ with the carbanions of methyl phenylacetate in C₆H₆/THF mixed solvent under a purified N₂ atmosphere at 20°C.     

Lingshuiols A and B, two new polyhydroxy compounds from the Chinese marine dinoflagellate Amphidinium sp.

Lingshuiols A and B, two new polyhydroxyl compounds with linear carbon-chains, were isolated from the cultured Chinese marine dinoflagellate Amphidinium sp. Their structures were elucidated by extensive analysis of 2D NMR spectral data.

以甘氨酸乙酯盐酸盐与取代的苯甲醛为原料,制得了一系列亚胺,然后用亚胺与C60反应,得到带有不同取代基的吡咯烷骈[60]富勒烯衍生物.经1H NMR,13C NMB,FT-IR,UV-vis以及TOF-SIMS等方法对所得化合物结构进行了表征,并进行了产物的生物活性测试.

作为结构活性关系研究的一部分，利用NMR配位羟基积分法、配位滴定法以及 紫外平衡移动分光光度法，研究了化合物1～5和钙离子的配位行为，发现羟基所在 碳的绝对构型对配位有明显的影响。     

β-转角肽的溶液构象

主要报导TEM-1β-内酰胺酶的天然蛋白类抑制剂BLIP中一段多肽B1的溶液构象研究 结果.在磷酸盐缓冲溶液中,通过圆二色光谱、傅立叶红外光谱和核磁共振谱研究了B1的二 级结构特征.实验结果表明,B1在溶液中形成了β-转角结构,为在溶液中单独研究β-转 角结构形成与稳定性提供了良好的模板.β-转角在溶液中可以独立存在,表明β-转角在 蛋白质折叠过程中可能具有重要作用.     

Synthesis of （p—Substituted phenyl）azo Calix[4] arenes

A novel method for the preparation of chromogenic calixarenes with azo groups was reported.p-Substituted(-NO2,-CH3,-Cl)amilines were diazotized with isoamyl nitrite in EtONa/EtOH under refluxing condition.Fifteen mono-,bis-,tris-and tetrakis(p-substituted phenyl)azo calix[4]arenes (including proximal and distal isomers) were obtainged respectively by diazo-coupling in different molar ratio to calix[4]arenes(1) under pH=7.5-9.0 in non-aqueous solution at 0-5℃.^1H NMR and ^13C NMR spectra of (p-substtituted phenyl)azo calix[4]-arenes indicated that they existed in cone conformation in solution.     

Structure determination of glycopeptide of β-momorcharin

The structure of the N-linked oligosaccharide chain of β-momorcharin, a ribosome-inactivating protein from the seeds of Momordica charantia Linn (Cucurbitaceae), was determined. A glycopeptide liberated by pronase digestion of the glycoprotein was subjected to amino acid and neutral carbohydrate analysis to establish the composition of amino acid and sugar residues. The sequences and glycosylation hnkages of the sugar and amino acid residues in the glycopeptide were determined as Manαl-6(XyIβ1-2)-Manβ1-4GlcNAcβ1-4(Fucαl-3)-GlcNAc-Asn-Leu by 2D-NMR spectroscopy and FAB-MS data.
