Studies of the application of an 8-hydroxyquinoline extraction and of a zinc oxide “collection” procedure for the separation of trace amounts of indium from zinc alloys are described and discussed. A combination of radio-chemical and polarographic determination were employed for this work. Further studies on the polarography of trivalent chromium in concentrated calcium chloride solution are described. Details are given of a chloride-hydroxylamine base electrolyte (7.4M with respect to chloride) in which chromium may be determined directly in the presence of nickel. This method is not applicable if the nickel-chromium ratio is large. Results are presented and certain theoretical aspects are discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, the development of a co-precipitation method for the separation of indium from zinc alloys is described and a method for the determination of indium down to 0.5 p.p.m. in mazak alloys is presented. This paper discusses in detail the polarography of chromium, nickel and lead in 5M calcium chloride. The conditions for polarography are laid down and the theoretical aspects of the results obtained with a single-sweep cathode ray polarograph are discussed. A new cell assembly for use with the differential cathode ray polarograph is described togother with full practical details of its use in comparative polaragraphy. The difficulties of manipulating the cells and dropping mercury electrodes have been greatly reduced. Results obtained show that the coefficient of variation of a polarographic determination can be as low as 0.04%. Some general aspects of the technique are discussed.  相似文献

A combined fit is performed to the BABAR and Belle measurements of the e^+e^- →φπ^+π^- and φf0(980) cross sections for center-of-mass energy between threshold and 3.0 GeV. The resonance parameters of the φ(1680) and Y(2175) are determined. The mass is (1681-12^+10) MeV/c^2 and the width is (221-24^+34) MeV/c^2 for the φ(1680), and the mass is (2117-49^+59) MeV/c^2 and the width is (164-80^+69) MeV/c^2 for the Y(2175). This information will shed light on the understanding of the nature of the excited φ and Y states observed in e+e- annihilation.  相似文献

The determination of traces of carbon dioxide by infrared spectroscopy has been investigated. For maximum sensitivity the absorption band at 2350 cm(-1) is measured, the total pressure being raised to one atmosphere by addition of an inert gas. With a micro gas-cell and a beam-condenser the limit of detection is 0.02 mug of carbon, and for 4, mug of carbon the coefficient of variation is 1.5%.  相似文献
