In this study, anticancer, antibacterial (against hospital-isolated antibiotic-resistant Escherichia coli strains), antifungal, and antioxidant effects of synthesized heterocyclic compounds 5 and 7 containing thiazole core were examined. Cytotoxicity testing was utilized against MCF-7 breast cancer cells via MTT cell viability assay. Antibacterial and antifungal activities were checked out according to Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) guidelines, and antioxidant properties were evaluated through scavenging 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radicals. Results showed the viability of breast cancer cell lines was reliant on concentration of heterocycles and time of incubation. Synthetic compounds exhibited excellent antibacterial and antifungal properties base on their minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC), minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC), and minimum fungicidal concentration (MFC) values as well as high antioxidant activities according to their IC50 values. Higher anticancer and antibacterial properties were observed with compound 7; on the contrary, thiazole 5 had better antioxidant effects. They can be introduced as potent antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anticancer agents. 相似文献

A convenient method toward the synthesis of α-amino acid-derived unsymmetrical ureas 2 is described herein. Stable crystalline phosphorus ylides are obtained in excellent yields from the 1:1:1 addition reaction between 5,5-diarylthiohydantoins and dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates in the presence of triphenylphosphine. In fractured oil reservoirs, the gravity drainage mechanism has great potentials to higher oil recovery in comparison with other mechanisms. Recently, the forced gravity drainage assisted by gas injection has also been considered; however, there are few comprehensive studies in the literature. Dual porosity model, the most common approach for simulation of fractured reservoirs, uses transfer function concept to represent the fluid exchange between matrix and its neighborhood fractures. This study compares the results of different available transfer functions with those of fine grid simulations when forced gravity drainage contributes to oil production from a single matrix block. These comparisons can lead to a more sophisticated formulation including the interplay of capillary, gravity and viscous forces. As a result, a new matrix-fracture transfer function can be developed and its results can be tested against the results of fine-grid simulations. Moreover, the reliability of this model for simulation of forced gravity drainage has been demonstrated by performing some sensitivity analysis. 相似文献

In this work, thiophene derivatives were synthesized in good yields via multicomponent reaction of isoquinoline, alkyl bromides, activated acetylenic compounds, isothiocyanates, and catalytic amounts of ZnO nanorods (NRs) at room temperature under solvent-free conditions. This procedure for the synthesis of thiophene derivatives is green, easy, and simple with excellent yield. In addition, DPPH radical scavenging and ferric reduction power experiment has been studied for the evaluation of the antioxidant activity of some prepared thiophenes, for example, 5b , 5d , 5e , and 5f . As outcome, the compound 5d exhibited a noteworthy radical trapping activity and excellent reducing ability than synthetic antioxidants such as butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) and 2-tertbutylhydroquinone (TBHQ). Moreover, the antimicrobial activity of some synthesized thiophenes was confirmed by employing the disk diffusion test on Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The obtained results of disk diffusion test showed that compounds 5b , 5d , 5e , and 5f prevented bacterial growth. 相似文献
