Cyclobutene, having a pinacolatoboryl group at the 3-position, was prepared by the reaction of trimethyl borate with a cyclobutenyl anion, which was generated by reductive lithiation of 3-(phenylselenyl)cyclobutene. Its thermal ring-opening reaction provided (Z)-1-borylbuta-1,3-diene selectively despite the arising steric congestion. The contrasteric behavior was accounted for by assuming an electron-accepting interaction of the vacant boron p orbital with the distorted breaking sigma orbital in the inward transition state.  相似文献

Non‐coordinative interactions between a metal ion and the aromatic ring of a fluorophore can act as a versatile sensing mechanism for the detection of metal ions with a large emission change of fluorophores. We report the design of fluorescent probes based on arene–metal‐ion interactions and their biological applications. This study found that various probes having different fluorophores and metal binding units displayed significant emission redshift upon complexation with metal ions, such as AgI, CdII, HgII, and PbII. X‐ray crystallography of the complexes confirmed that the metal ions were held in close proximity to the fluorophore to form an arene–metal‐ion interaction. Electronic structure calculations based on TDDFT offered a theoretical basis for the sensing mechanism, thus showing that metal ions electrostatically modulate the energy levels of the molecular orbitals of the fluorophore. A fluorescent probe was successfully applied to the ratiometric detection of the uptake of CdII ions and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in living cells. These results highlight the utility of interactions between arene groups and metal ions in biological analyses.  相似文献

In secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) of organic substances, the dissociation of the sample molecules is crucial. We have developed SIMS equipment capable of bombardment, where the primary ions are argon cluster ions with kinetic energy per atom controllable down to 1 eV. We previously reported the detection of intact ions of insulin and cytochrome C using this equipment. In this paper, we present a detailed characterization of the emission of secondary ions from insulin, focusing on the difference in secondary ion yield between intact ions and fragment ions by varying the incident angle of the cluster ions. The emission intensity of the intact ions was changed drastically due to the exposed dosage and incident angle of the cluster ions in contrast to the fragment ions. We discuss these results based on the manner in which the argon-cluster ions collide with the organic solid.  相似文献

Migration of Li+ ions via the vacancy mechanism in LiX (X = F, Cl, Br, and I) with the rocksalt and hypothetical zinc blende structures and Li2X (X = O, S, Se, and Te) with the antifluorite structure has been investigated using first-principles projector augmented wave calculations with the generalized gradient approximation. The migration paths and energies, determined by the nudged-elastic-band method, are discussed on the basis of two idealized models: the rigid-sphere and charged-sphere models. The trajectories and energy profiles of the migration in these lithium compounds vary between these two models, depending on the anion species and crystal structure. The migration energies in LiX with both the rocksalt and hypothetical zinc blende structures show a tendency to decrease with increasing periodic number of the anion species in the periodic table. This is consistent with the widely accepted view that anion species with large ionic radii and high polarizabilities are favorable for good ionic conduction. In contrast, Li2O exhibits the lowest migration energy among Li2X compounds, although O is the smallest among the chalcogens, indicating that electrostatic attractive interactions play the dominant role in the inter-ion interactions in Li2O and, therefore, in the ion migration.  相似文献

Objective: We examined the association between social frailty and subjective sleep quality among community-dwelling adults. Methods: This cross-sectional study recruited Japanese adults over the age of 60 years from health check-ups held in a public townhall in a suburban area between 2018 and 2019. Social frailty was evaluated using five criteria (living alone, not visiting friends sometimes, going out less frequently than the last year, not feeling helpful to friends or family, and not talking to someone every day) and categorized into three groups: non-frailty, pre-frailty, and frailty. Sleep quality was assessed according to the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) by giving participants a self-reported questionnaire. We performed multivariable linear regression analysis, denoting social frailty as an independent variable, and the global PSQI score as a dependent variable. Results: Data from 300 older adults were analyzed, 51.0% of whom were female. The participants'' mean age was 73.0 years (standard deviation = 5.8). Multivariable analysis revealed the notable association between social frailty and a high global PSQI score (compared with non-frailty, frailty: β = 0.94, 95% CI = 0.08 to 1.80, p = 0.033). Of the five determiners of social frailty, not talking with someone every day was especially associated with a high global PSQI score (β = 1.57, 95% CI = 0.49 to 2.66, p = 0.005). Conclusion: The present study suggests that social frailty is associated with poor sleep quality among community-dwelling older adults. Our findings indicate the importance of social frailty on sleep quality among older adults.  相似文献

Fluorescence sensing with small molecular chemosensors is a versatile technique for elucidation of function of various biological substances. We now report a new fluorescent chemosensor for nucleoside polyphosphates such as ATP using metal-anion coordination chemistry. The chemosensor 1-2Zn(II) is comprised of the two sites of 2,2'-dipicolylamine (Dpa)-Zn(II) as the binding motifs and xanthene as a fluorescent sensing unit for nucleoside polyphosphates. The chemosensor 1-2Zn(II) selectively senses nucleoside polyphosphates with a large fluorescence enhancement (F/F(o) > 15) and strong binding affinity (K(app) approximately = 1 x 10(6) M(-1)), whereas no detectable fluorescence change was induced by monophosphate species and various other anions. The 'turn-on,' fluorescence of 1-2Zn(II) is based on a new mechanism, which involves the binding-induced recovery of the conjugated form of the xanthene ring from its nonfluorescent deconjugated state which was formed by an unprecedented nucleophilic attack of zinc-bound water. The selective and highly sensitive ability of 1-2Zn(II) to detect nucleoside polyphosphates enables its bioanalytical applications in fluorescence visualization of ATP particulate stores in living cells, demonstrating the potential utility of 1-2Zn(II).  相似文献
