In this work, the isolation step in the linear ion trap was performed using different “q values” conditions at a low collision-induced dissociation (CID) energy leading to the parent ion resolution improvements, reasonably due to better ion energy distribution. According to the results, we obtained a greater resolution and mass accuracy operating in both traditional electrospray and low voltage ionization near the q value = 0.778 and with a CID energy of 10%. This effect was evaluated with low-molecular-mass compounds (skatole and arginine). The proposed optimization yielded a superior instrument performance without adding technological complexity to mass spectrometry analyses.  相似文献

In this study, the thermal behavior of butanediol isomers is investigated for temperatures ranging from 103 to 303 K using differential scanning calorimetry, complemented, when necessary, by polarized light thermal microscopy. The butanediol isomers display quite different thermal behaviors: for 1,2- and 1,3-isomers, glass transition is the only thermal event observed; for 1,4-butanediol, crystallization occurs on cooling even at a high scanning rate and no glass formation was detected; and for the 2,3-isomer, glass or crystal formation is dependent on the experimental conditions employed. The glass-forming ability of the isomers is correlated with data available on their molecular symmetry.  相似文献

A unique rippled nanographene consisting of 52 fused rings is presented in which six out‐of‐plane motifs are fully fused into a triangular aromatic surface with a size of approximately 2.5 nm. Three units of an unprecedented fully lateral π‐extended octabenzo[5]helicene together with three units of saddle‐shaped heptagonal rings are combined in a single structure, leading to a well‐soluble warped nanographene. The two diastereomeric pairs of possible enantiomers were isolated, and their linear, non‐linear, and chiroptical properties were evaluated, revealing outstanding quantum yield and brightness values at low energy, together with good chiroptical responses in both absorption and emission.  相似文献

A new family of distorted ribbon-shaped nanographenes was designed, synthesized, and their optical and electrochemical properties were evaluated, pointing out an unprecedented correlation between their structural characteristics and the two-photon absorption (TPA) responses and electrochemical band gaps. Three nanographene ribbons have been prepared: a seven-membered-ring-containing nanographene presenting a tropone moiety at the edge, its full-carbon analogue, and a purely hexagonal one. We have found that the TPA cross-sections and the electrochemical band gaps of the seven-membered-ring-containing compounds are higher and lower, respectively, than those of the fully hexagonal polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH). Interestingly, the inclusion of additional curvature has a positive effect in terms of non-linear optical properties of those ribbons.  相似文献

Theoretical calculations at the MP2 level, NBO and AIM analysis, and matrix-isolation infrared spectroscopy have been used to investigate the structure of the isolated molecule of 1,4-butanediol (1,4-BDO). Sixty-five structures were found to be minima on the potential energy surface, and the three most stable forms are characterized by a folded backbone conformation leading to the formation of an intramolecular H-bond. To better characterize the intramolecular interactions and particularly the hydrogen bonds, natural bond orbital analysis (NBO) was performed for the four most stable conformers, and was further complemented with an atoms-in-molecules (AIM) topological analysis. Infrared spectra of 1,4-BDO isolated in low-temperature argon and xenon matrixes show a good agreement with a population-weighted mean theoretical spectrum, and the spectral features of the conformers expected to be trapped in the matrixes were observed experimentally. Annealing the xenon matrix from 20 to 60 K resulted in significant spectral changes, which were interpreted based on the barriers to intramolecular rotation. An estimation of the intramolecular hydrogen bond energy was carried out following three different methodologies.  相似文献

In this work, co-crystal screening was carried out for two important dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) inhibitors, trimethoprim (TMP) and pyrimethamine (PMA), and for 2,4-diaminopyrimidine (DAP), which is the pharmacophore of these active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). The isomeric pyridinecarboxamides and two xanthines, theophylline (THEO) and caffeine (CAF), were used as co-formers in the same experimental conditions, in order to evaluate the potential for the pharmacophore to be used as a guide in the screening process. In silico co-crystal screening was carried out using BIOVIA COSMOquick and experimental screening was performed by mechanochemistry and supported by (solid + liquid) binary phase diagrams, infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD). The in silico prediction of low propensities for DAP, TMP and PMA to co-crystallize with pyridinecarboxamides was confirmed: a successful outcome was only observed for DAP + nicotinamide. Successful synthesis of multicomponent solid forms was achieved for all three target molecules with theophylline, with DAP co-crystals revealing a greater variety of stoichiometries. The crystalline structures of a (1:2) TMP:THEO co-crystal and of a (1:2:1) DAP:THEO:ethyl acetate solvate were solved. This work demonstrated the possible use of the pharmacophore of DHFR inhibitors as a guide for co-crystal screening, recognizing some similar trends in the outcome of association in the solid state and in the molecular aggregation in the co-crystals, characterized by the same supramolecular synthons.  相似文献

In a classical 1986 paper by Erdös, Saks and Saós every graph of radius r has an induced path of order at least 2r ? 1. This result implies that the independence number of such graphs is at least r. In this paper, we use a result of S. Fajtlowicz about radius-critical graphs to characterize graphs where the independence number is equal to the radius, for all possible values of the radius except 2, 3, and 4. The enthalpies of sublimation of erythritol and L-threitol have been determined at 298.15 K by calorimetry. The values obtained for the two diastereomers differ from one another by 17 kJ mol(-1). An interpretation of these results is based on the decomposition of this thermodynamic property in a term coming from the intermolecular interactions of the molecules in the crystal (delta(int)H degrees) and another one related with the conformational change of the molecules on going from the crystal lattice to the most stable forms in the gas phase (delta(conf)H degrees). This last term was calculated from the values of the enthalpy of the molecules in the gas state and of the enthalpy of the isolated molecules with the crystal conformation. Both quantities were obtained by density functional theory (DFT) calculations at the B3LYP/6-311G++(d,p) level of theory. The results obtained in this study show that the most important contribution to the differences observed in the enthalpy of sublimation are the differences in the enthalpy of conformational change (13 kJ mol(-1)) rather than different intermolecular forces exhibited in the solid phase. This is explained by the lower enthalpy of threitol in the gas phase relative to erythritol, which is attributed to the higher strength of the intramolecular hydrogen bonds in the former. The comparison of the calculated infrared spectra obtained for the two compounds in the gas phase supports this interpretation.  相似文献
