Micro powder injection molding (μPIM) is one of the potential processes for the mass production of metallic microstructures
and micro components. Here, μPIM is the miniaturization of conventional PIM, which involves four processing steps: mixing,
injection molding, debinding and sintering. This paper looks into the feasibility and effectiveness of μPIM as a key mass
production process for the fabrication of metallic micro components. For it to be an effective re-production process, it is
imperative to examine how well parts can be duplicated/fabricated from a master mold. In this work, the dimensional variation
of high-aspect-ratio micro-pillars arrays, in particular the dimensional shrinkage, global warpage, and surface roughness
at each stage of the μPIM process for a range of molding pressures, are quantified and compared in detail. The sensitivity
of the dimensional variation of the microstructures to the packing pressure is reported. The mechanism behind the dimensional
variation is analyzed.

We study a linearly damped preloaded two-bar linkage that exhibits hysteresis due to the presence of multiple attracting equilibria. The dynamics at the unstable equilibrium, through which a snap-through buckle occurs, are not linearizable due to a solution-dependent singularity. We stabilize the unstable equilibrium using two distinct non-linear controllers. The feedback-linearization controller requires knowledge of the linkage parameters, whereas the robust version of the intrinsic non-linear proportional-derivative controller requires only an upper bound on the stiffness. 相似文献

We have performed two-dimensional, relativistic, electromagnetic, particle-in-cell simulations for an axially extracted vircator. With a copper foil anode, the output frequency of the vircator is found to be strongly dependent upon the variation of foil transparency with electron energy. Using an average transparency for all electron energies yields results that are markedly different from those obtained using the actual variation. However, the output power shows only mild sensitivity. Using the full energy-dependent form of the transparency, we get fairly good agreement with published experimental results. Increasing the energy resolution for the calculation of foil transparency increases the accuracy of calculation of the dominant frequency, although the frequency tends to saturate beyond a certain resolution. However, an increase in the resolution must necessarily be accompanied by an increase in the number of simulation particles, in order to limit statistical fluctuations to an acceptable level. The film formation method has been successfully used to grow single crystals and other complex morphological features of low melting form (LMF) and high melting form (HMF) of trans-1,4-polyisoprene (TPIP). Below 40 °C dilute amyl acetate solution gave hexagonal shaped LMF crystals. Thick and elongated hexagonal shaped morphology was shown by HMF crystals at temperatures above 40 °C. One of the most significant issues of the last few decades has been tracing for renewable energy sources. Animal fleshing (ANFL) is the most common proteinaceous solid waste accured during the production of leather and it must be disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner. This paper is attempts to assess the biogas production from solid waste originating from the chrome based tannery. Anaerobic digestion of these wastes will be a viable option for waste stabilization and energy production in the form of biogas to be utilized in the industry. The bio-methane potential of the wastes were examined by mixing these wastes with various sources of inoculum and different inoculum to substrate (I/S) ratio considered. The batch experiments were carried out in 2.5 l glass reactors with a various source of inoculumviz., Cow Dung (CD), Elephant Dung (ED) and Bio-Digested Slurry (BDS) with varied inoculum to substrate (LFs) ratios for a retention time of 50 days with replications. The results obtained from the experiments showed that BDS:LF (25:75) had the highest gas production of 14505 ml (651.85 ml CH4g?1 VS) followed by CD:LF (50:50) produced 12072.5 ml (789.36 ml CH4g?1 VS) and ED:LF (75:25) produced 11252.5 ml (1492.08 ml CH4g?1 VS)with a methane content of 63.77, 61.92 and 62.72%, respectively. 相似文献
