Investigations on diazo compounds and azides- LXII.: Synthesis and reactions of a-diazo phosphonates with a conjugated 1,3-diene unit

α-Diazo phosphonates with a conjugated 1,3-diene unit are synthesised by the Bamford-Stevens reaction ($\text{2}$ →$\text{4}$→$\text{3}$). They undergo [4+2]-cycloadditions with the dienophile $\text{5}$ to form the tetrahydrotriazolopyridazines $\text{8}$, which possess an unchanged diazo group. In contrast, dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate ($\text{9}$) reacts exclusively with the diazo dipole of $\text{3}$ to yield the 3H-pyrazoles $\text{10}$, which rearrange to $\text{11}$ by sigmatropic PO-shifts and hydrolyse to form $\text{13}$. The diazo compound $\text{3b}$ isomerises to the pyrazole $\text{16}$ when heated in benzene.

The reaction of the diazo compounds 1a-o with 4-phenyl-1,2,4-triazolin-3,5-dione (2) in dichloromethane-ethanol leads to the urazoles 5a-o; they arise from the primarily formed unstable azomethinhnine dipoles 4a-o by ethanol addition. Acidic hydrolysis of 5k and 5o yields the α-diketones 8 and 10 besides 4-phenyl urazole (9). Bistriazolindiones (13a,b) react analogously with diazo compounds (1l, m) in the presence of ethanol to give the bisurazoles 14a-c.     

Die direkte ma?analytisehe Bestimmung des Aluminiums mit ?thylendiamintetraessigs?ure (Komplexon III)

Zusammenfassung Es wird eine direkte Titrationsmethode des Aluminiums mit Komplexon III-maßlösung beschrieben. Als Indicator dient Chromazurol S. Das Aluminium wird beiph 4 in der Hitze titriert. Der Endpunkt kann entweder direkt bestimmt werden, oder es wird nach Zufügenvon Natriumacetatlösung ein geringer Überschuß an Komplexonlösung mit der Aluminiumlösung zurücktitriert. Die Bestimmung des Aluminiums liefert sehr gute Werte und ist auch in Gegenwart von Fe und anderen Elementen rasch und sicher ausführbar.     

A [001]-Oriented Hittorf's Phosphorus Nanorods/Polymeric Carbon Nitride Heterostructure for Boosting Wide-Spectrum-Responsive Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution from Pure Water

Red phosphorus is a promising photocatalyst with wide visible-light absorption up to 700 nm, but the fast charge recombination limits its photocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) activity. Now, [001]-oriented Hittorf's phosphorus (HP) nanorods were successfully grown on polymeric carbon nitride (PCN) by a chemical vapor deposition strategy. Compared with the bare PCN and HP, the optimized PCN@HP hybrid exhibited a significantly enhanced photocatalytic activity, with HER rates reaching 33.2 and 17.5 μmol h⁻¹ from pure water under simulated solar light and visible light irradiation, respectively. It was theoretically and experimentally indicated that the strong electronic coupling between PCN and [001]-oriented HP nanorods gave rise to the enhanced visible light absorption and the greatly accelerated photoinduced electron–hole separation and transfer, which benefited the photocatalytic HER performance.
