Among heavy-fermion (HF) superconductors, CeCoIn 5 exhibits a record high value of T c =2.3 K at ambient pressure [1]. CeCoIn 5 belongs to a new class of HF-superconductors that crystallize in the tetragonal HoCoGa 5 -structure. This structure can be regarded as alternating layers of CeIn 3 and CoIn 2 . Bulk CeIn 3 undergoes a transition from an antiferromagnetic (AFM) state at ambient pressure ( T N =10.2 K) to a superconducting state with very low T C =0.15 K at a critical pressure p c =2.8 GPa [2] at which long range magnetic order vanishes. It is, therefore, regarded as a possible candidate for magnetically mediated superconductivity (SC). We report on measurements of the heat capacity of CeCoIn 5 at hydrostatic pressures p h 1.5 GPa. While T c increases with increasing pressure, the effective mass of the quasi-particles m eff decreases, as indicated by the ratio C / T | T c . As a working hypothesis based on theories of a nearly antiferromagnetic Fermi-liquid (NAFFL), this may be interpreted as the stabilization of the superconducting state by an increase of the characteristic spin fluctuation temperature T_{SF} (T_{SF}\propto k_F^2/m_{\rm eff}).  相似文献

Twelve collaborating laboratories assayed hydrazine in technical maleic hydrazide (MH), 6-hydroxy-2H-pyridazin-3-one, and 2 formulated products, a liquid concentrate and a soluble granule, using gas chromatography (GC) with electron capture detection. The hydrazine content in the samples ranged from 0.03 ppm, in the liquid concentrate, to 0.26 ppm, in MH technical. Hydrazine and MH are dissolved in an aqueous solution. The MH is then precipitated out of solution by acidification. The solution containing hydrazine is treated with excess pentafluorobenzaldehyde (PFB) to form pentafluorobenzaldehyde azine (PFBA). The PFBA is extracted with hexane for analysis by GC using an electron capture detector. Peak area responses of PFBA are measured and quantified by external standardization. Hydrazine concentration is calculated from the PFBA determination. The laboratories weighed each test sample in duplicate with duplicate analysis for each weighing. Data from these laboratories were statistically analyzed. The average relative repeatability was determined to be 5.34% and the average relative reproducibility was 27.99%.  相似文献

Fourteen collaborating laboratories assayed maleic hydrazide (MH), 6-hydroxypyridazin-3(2H)-one, in technical and formulated products by reversed-phase liquid chromatography (LC) with sulfanilic acid as an internal standard. The active MH in the samples (6 lots) ranged from 16% (expressed as the potassium salt) to 98% (MH in the technical). A small amount of 1 M KOH was added to the technical MH and analytical standards to create the potassium salt of the analyte which is soluble in water. Test samples and standards were extracted with water containing the internal standard before analysis by LC on a C8 column with an ion-pairing eluting solution and UV detection at 254 nm. The concentration of MH was calculated by comparing the peak area response ratios of the analyte and the internal standard with those in the analytical standard solution. Eleven laboratories weighed each test sample twice with single analysis. Three laboratories weighed each sample once and made duplicate injections on the LC system. The data were analyzed using the 11 laboratories' results. A second data analysis was done including all laboratory results using a Youden pair approach, selecting one of 2 duplicate assay values randomly for each laboratory and sample. In the first data analysis, the repeatability standard deviation ranged from 0.07 to 1.39%; reproducibility standard deviation ranged from 0.22 to 1.39%. In the second data analysis (using all laboratory data), repeatability standard deviation ranged from 0.09 to 0.86%; reproducibility standard deviation ranged from 0.22 to 1.31%.  相似文献

Neutron diffraction experiments have been performed on a magnetically ordered CeCu2Si2 single crystal exhibiting A-phase anomalies in specific heat and thermal expansion. Below T(N) approximately 0.8 K antiferromagnetic superstructure peaks have been detected. The propagation vector of the magnetic order appears to be determined by the topology of the Fermi surface of heavy quasiparticles as indicated by renormalized band-structure calculations. The observation of long-range incommensurate antiferromagnetic order as the nature of the A phase in CeCu2Si2 suggests that a spin-density-wave instability is the origin of the quantum critical point in CeCu2Si2.  相似文献

Numerous abused drugs of the 3,4-methylenedioxymetamphetamine (MDMA; Ecstasy; N-methyl-1-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)-2-propaneamine) type and various alkyl chain- and aromatic ring-substituted isomers give very similar electron ionization (EI) mass spectra. This seriously affects the analysis of especially ring regioisomeric drug variants. Using collision-induced dissociation (CID) (argon) under EI and chemical ionization, the mass spectra of 18 2,3- and 3, 4-methylenedioxy ring-substituted phenylethylamines were recorded. These techniques permitted an unequivocal differentiation of all studied ring regioisomeric methylenedioxyphenylethylamines. CID mass spectrometry therefore appear to be a reliable tool to establish the kind of ring substitution pattern in regioisomeric methylenedioxyphenalkylamines. The sound propagation properties of two air-filled granular materials: large sifted pea gravel and 10 mm diameter glass spheres have been measured in an impedance tube. The experimental method was essentially the same as reported earlier [Swenson et al. Low-frequency sound wave parameter measurement in gravels. Appl Acoust 2010; 71: 45–51] for two other kinds of gravel: crushed limestone and undifferentiated pea gravel. Additional sampling and processing steps were applied to the microphone signals such that instead of tones, band-limited random noise was used as the input signal, and spectral domain complex pressures are now offered as input to the estimation algorithm. The estimation process extracts the best-fit attenuation coefficient, phase velocity, and characteristic impedance for the material over the signal frequencies, all with better precision than we previously obtained. Quadratic approximations for the acoustical parameters are given over the frequency range 25–160 Hz. The media are both slightly attenuating and dispersive, having attenuation coefficients within 0.13–0.34 Np/m, phase velocities smaller than those in air (180–240 m/s), and characteristic impedance approximately 3–5 times that for air. Pea gravel was more attenuating, and had slightly higher characteristic impedance, but lower phase velocities than the glass spheres.  相似文献

In the quest for new superconductor compounds which adopt the superconducting state at increasingly higher transition temperatures T c , a non-phonon mediated coupling between the charge carriers seems to play a key role. In order to enhance our understanding of such unconventional coupling mechanisms, we studied a new family of heavy fermion (HF) superconductors CeTIn 5 (T: transition metal) whose properties point toward the realization of unconventional superconductivity (SC): the specific heat, thermal conductivity and nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate of CeIrIn 5 and CeCoIn 5 decrease as a power law of temperature instead of exponentially for T < T c . We report on measurements of the heat capacity of CeIrIn 5 and CeCoIn 5 at hydrostatic pressures p h 1.6 GPa. In both compounds, T c increases with increasing pressure, while the mass of the quasi-particles m eff decreases, as indicated by the ratio C / T | T c .
