The alkyl N-(diphenylmethylene)-α,β-dehydroamino acids 1 have been submitted to 1,3-dipolar cycloadditions with nitrile oxides. The reactivity of these compounds depends on the type and on the stereochemistry of the β-substituents. With the unsubstituted terms 1a,b the reaction occurs on the C,C double bond, providing a good method for the synthesis of the 4,5-dihydroisoxazole derivatives 3a,b,c and for the gem-functionalized 4,5-dihydroisoxazoles amino carboxylic ester 5. The β-substituted compounds 1c,d,e , inert to 1,1-dimethylethylnitrile oxide, undergo the reaction to the N,C double bond, thus giving with 2a,b the 4,5-dihydro-1,2,4-oxadiazole derivatives 4. All the reactions occur with high site- and regioselectivity. 相似文献

The phototransformation of phenol in aqueous solution was studied with different quinoid compounds, which are usually detected on atmospheric particulate matter: 2-ethylanthraquinone (EtAQ), benzanthracene-7,12-dione (BAD), 5,12-naphthacenequinone (NQ), 9,10-anthraquinone (AQ), and 2,6-dihydroxyanthraquinone (DAQ). All the studied quinones were able to sensitise the phototransformation of phenol. Under blue-light irradiation the approximated, polychromatic quantum yields for phenol photodegradation were in the order AQ > BAD > EtAQ > NQ > DAQ. Quantum mechanical calculations showed that AQ and DAQ have a very different spin distribution in the triplet state (largely located on the carbonyl oxygen and delocalised over the aromatic ring, respectively) that could account for the difference in reactivity. The spin distribution of EtAQ is similar to that of AQ. Under simulated sunlight, EtAQ induced the highest rate of phenol degradation. Radiation-excited EtAQ would oxidise both ground-state EtAQ and phenol; a kinetic model that excludes the ˙OH radical and singlet oxygen as reactive species is supported by the experimental data. Quinones were also able to oxidise nitrite to nitrogen dioxide, thereby inducing phenol nitration. Such a process is a potential source of nitrogen dioxide and nitrophenols in the atmospheric aerosols. 相似文献

A varied set of solvent-free, one-pot synthetic sequences were developed to carry out the orthogonal protection of saccharide polyols. These sequences are composed of an initial regioselective benzylation, silylation or iodination (under mildly basic conditions), followed by an acid catalyzed protection of two further hydroxyl sites via the generation of a cyclic acetal. These processes allow recycling of the ammonium or pyridinium side products generated in the former step as effective catalytic species for the latter step. 相似文献

An efficient and practical approach for the synthesis of all four stereoisomers of the MT(2) melatonin receptor ligand 4-phenyl-2-propionamidotetralin (4-P-PDOT), each in enantiomerically pure form (ee > 99.9%), was developed. The strategy involved an optical resolution procedure of the key precursor (±)-4-phenyl-2-tetralone with the unusual resolving agent (S)-mandelamide, through the formation of four dihydronaphtalene-spiro-oxazolidin-4-one diastereomers. Interestingly, NMR experimental observations in combination with geometric calculations, provided unambiguous configuration assignments of all stereocenters of the key spiro stereoisomers. Cleavage of each single spiro diastereomer under acidic conditions gave enantiopure (R)- or (S)-4-phenyl-2-tetralone, which were then converted to each 4-P-PDOT single enantiomer by using stereoselective reactions. 相似文献

The trisaccharide repeating unit of the O-antigen of the lipopolysaccharide from Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris 8004, a pathogen of cruciferous crops, presents some structural features that renders it a challenging synthetic target: the presence of a beta-D-rhamnosidic linkage, the steric crowd on a 1,2-cis-diglycosylated D-rhamnose, and finally the noncommercial availability of its monosaccharide constituents. The synthesis of this trisaccharide as methyl glycoside has been accomplished by exploiting a strategy whose key steps were the sequential beta-D-rhamnosylation with a 2-O-benzylsulfonyl-N-phenyltrifluoroacetimidate donor, debenzylsulfonylation, and coupling with a D-Fucp3NAc thioglycoside donor. 相似文献

Many phytopathogenic bacteria display lipopolysaccharides (LPS) with the O-chain repeating unit [alpha-l-Rha-(1-->3)-alpha-l-Rha-(1-->3)-alpha-l-Rha-(1-->2)](n)(). This trisaccharide unit was synthesized and oligomerized to obtain hexa- and nonasaccharides. The deprotected rhamnans were effective in suppressing the hypersensitive response (HR) and in inducing PR-1 gene expression in Arabidopsis thaliana. Conformational analysis of the oligorhamnans by NMR spectroscopy and molecular dynamics calculations revealed that a coiled structure develops with increasing chain length of the oligosaccharide. This is associated with increasing efficacy in HR suppression and PR-1 gene expression. We therefore infer that the coiled structure of phytopathogenic bacteria is a plant-recognizable pathogen-associated molecular pattern (PAMP). 相似文献

A semisynthetic approach to novel lipid A derivatives from Escherichia coli (E. coli) lipid A is reported. This methodology stands as an alternative to common approaches based exclusively on either total synthesis or extraction from bacterial sources. It relies upon the purification of the lipid A fraction from fed‐batch fermentation of E. coli, followed by its structural modification through tailored, site‐selective chemical reactions. In particular, modification of the lipid pattern and functionalization of the phosphate group as well as of the sole primary hydroxyl group were accomplished, highlighting the unusual reactivity of the molecule. Preliminary investigations of the immunostimulating activity of the new semisynthetic lipid A derivatives show that some of them stand out as promising, new immunoadjuvant candidates. 相似文献
