A series of Zn(II)-Schiff bases I, II and III complexes were synthesized by reaction of o-phenylenediamine with 3-methylsalicylaldehyde, 4-methylsalicylaldehyde and 5-methylsalicylaldehyde. These complexes were characterized using FT-IR, UV-Vis, Diffuse reflectance UV-Vis, elemental analysis and conductivity. Complex III was characterized by XRD single crystal, which crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P-1, with lattice parameters a?=?9.5444(2) Å, b?=?11.9407(2) Å, c?=?21.1732(3) Å, V?=?2390.24(7) Å3, D c ?=?1.408 Mg m?3, Z?=?4, F(000)?=?1050, GOF?=?0.981, R1?=?0.0502, wR2?=?0.1205. Luminescence property of these complexes was investigated in DMF solution and in the solid state. Computational study of the electronic properties of complex III showed good agreement with the experimental data.  相似文献

The main bioactive constituents in the standardized Ginkgo biloba leaf extract (EGb 761) are the terpene lactones and flavonoid glycosides. EGb 761’s antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties have previously been demonstrated. Indomethacin-induced gastric ulcers have a multifactorial etiology and represent a major restriction to its therapeutic utility. The underlying ulcerogenic process involves oxidative and inflammatory biomolecular insults. This study was performed to explore the curative and preventative benefits of EGb 761 in experimentally-induced ulcers. To develop gastric ulcers in mice, indomethacin (40 mg/kg) was administered orally. EGb 761 (200 mg/kg) was given by gavage for 7 days before (preventative) and after (therapeutic) indomethacin administration. The histological alterations and macroscopic mucosal lesions were assessed. In gastric tissue homogenates, malondialdehyde (MDA), reduced glutathione (GSH), nitric oxide (NO), and inflammatory cytokines were measured. The expressions of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), cytokines, and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) in the stomach mucosa were also investigated. The ulcer index, histological alterations, gastric oxidants, and inflammatory biomarkers were all significantly increased by indomethacin. In stomach specimens, it increased COX-2 and PCNA expression. EGb 761 treatments, both prophylactic and therapeutic, resulted in significant reductions in ulcer lesions, nitrosative and oxidative damage, and inflammatory markers, along with the lowering of COX-2 and PCNA expressions. Furthermore, in the fight against stomach ulcers, EGb 761 treatment was found to be more efficient than prevention.  相似文献

In the present study, an efficient finite element model for vibration analysis of a nonlocal Euler–Bernoulli beam has been reported. Nonlocal constitutive equation of Eringen is proposed. Equations of motion for a nonlocal Euler–Bernoulli are derived based on varitional statement. The finite element method is employed to discretize the model and obtain a numerical approximation of the motion equation. The model has been verified with the previously published works and found a good agreement with them. Vibration characteristics, such as fundamental frequencies, are illustrated in graphical and tabulated form. Numerical results are presented to figure out the effects of nonlocal parameter, slenderness ratios, rotator inertia, and boundary conditions on the dynamic characteristics of the beam. The above mention effects play very important role on the dynamic behavior of nanobeams.  相似文献

Complexes of FeII with monoxime and dioxime ligands have been isolated and characterised. Kinetic results and rate laws are reported for acid aquation and base hydrolysis of these complexes in H2O and in MeOH–H2O mixtures. Kinetics of acid catalysed aquation of FeII–monoxime complexes follow a rate law with kobs = k2[H+] + k3[H+]2, while kinetics of acid dissociation and base hydrolysis of the FeII–dioxime complex follow rate laws with kobs = k2[H+] and kobs = k2[OH]. Acid aquation and base hydrolysis mechanisms are proposed. The solubilities of FeII–monoxime and –dioxime complex salts are reported and transfer chemical potentials of their complex cations are calculated. Solvent effects on reactivity trends have been analysed into initial and transition state components. These are determined from transfer chemical potentials of reactant and kinetic data. Rate constant trends from these complexes are compared and discussed in terms of ligand structure and solvation properties. Our kinetic results give information relevant to the application of these ligands as analytical reagents for trace FeII in acidic and neutral media, in water and in aqueous alcohols.  相似文献

The reaction of the thiosemicarbazones (CH2)4C?NN(H)C(?S)NHR (R = H, Me) with zinc(II) acetate in methanolic solution proceeds readily under mild conditions to form stable mononuclear complexes Zn[(CH2)4C?NN?C(S)NHR]2. DNA interaction studies show that the zinc(II) complexes bind to DNA via groove mode and exhibit efficient DNA cleavage activity in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. Also, the complexes display a binding affinity to bovine serum albumin protein with KBSA values of ca 105 M?1. Topoisomerase catalytic inhibition studies suggest that both complexes are efficient topoisomerase‐I impeders. Furthermore, the anti‐proliferative effects of the two complexes on five human tumor cell lines (Caki‐2, MCF‐7, CaSki, NCI‐H322M and Co‐115) indicate that both complexes have the potential to act as effective anticancer drugs.
