Following a study on the Quaternary foraminifera in 1979, the authors report here a calcareous nannofossil assemblage from the same bed, which appears to be the first discovery of the Quaternary calcareous nannofossils in China and comprises eight species. Some problems on the stratigraphy, palaeogeograph and palaeoclimatology are discussed. The authors prefer to accept the lower limit of the Matuyama Epoch to be the lower boundary of the Quaternary and assign the described assemblage to the ancient subarctic bioprovince. 相似文献
