A numerical analysis of an optical chaotic transmission system, based on the synchronization of two chaotic lasers, in a master-slave closed loop configuration is presented. At the transmitter, the master chaotic wave is superposed on the information message; at the receiver, the message is recovered by subtracting the synchronized slave chaotic wave from the received signal. The performances are analyzed in terms of the Q-factor, considering two different message modulation formats: the nonreturn-to-zero and the Manchester coding. The Manchester coding shows enhanced performances due to the shift of the signal spectrum to higher frequencies. 相似文献

The radiolysis of β(−)pinene has been studied at five different radiation dose, namely at 50, 100, 150, 300 and 600 kGy with
a dose rate of 2.2 kGy/h. At lower radiation dose, β(−)pinene showed a reduction of the optical activity, hence, the expected
radioracemization appeared predominant. At higher radiation dose, an opposite and unexpected trend was observed: the optical
activity increased almost linearly with the radiation dose. The increase of [α]D of radiolyzed β(−)pinene was due to the formation oligomers, mainly a dimer and/or a trimer of β(−)pinene which remain soluble
in the monomer but which displayed a higher optical activity than the starting monomer, contributing to the increase in the
specific optical rotation. Simultaneously to the formation of the dimer/trimer the radiolysis of β(−)pinene induced also its
polymerization into a poly(β(−)pinene) resin which was insoluble in the monomer and which was characterized by a high structural
order and by the preservation of the chiral centers so that it showed an enhanced specific optical rotation which is ≈2 times
that of the monomer. It is shown that poly(β(−)pinene) radiopolymer can be easily racemized in presence of a Friedel-Crafts
catalyst. The kinetics of β(−)pinene radiation-induced oligomerization and polymerization can be described by a pseudofirst
order rate constant k = 1.9·10−7·s−1. The radiation chemical yield for the same reaction is G = 1.93·10−6 mol/J. The work shows that also the radiation-induced polymerization of chiral monomers may be a tool for the preservation
and amplification of the optical activity of the monomer with implications for abiotic mechanisms of chiral amplification. 相似文献

The reactivity of the two diatomic congeneric systems [CO].+ and [SiO].+ towards methane has been investigated by means of mass spectrometry and quantum‐chemical calculations. While [CO].+ gives rise to three different reaction channels, [SiO].+ reacts only by hydrogen‐atom transfer (HAT) from methane under thermal conditions. A theoretical analysis of the respective HAT processes reveals two distinctly different mechanistic pathways for [CO].+ and [SiO].+, and a comparison to the higher metal oxides of Group 14 emphasizes the particular role of carbon as a second‐row p element. 相似文献

This paper is dedicated to the memory of our friend and colleague Annalaura Segre. The chemical structure of a series of β (-)-pinene polymers (PBP) obtained by radiation-induced polymerization, free radical initiation, cationic polymerization over a Friedel-Craft catalyst and by coordinative polymerization over a Ziegler-Natta catalyst has been fully elucidated by 1H and 13C-NMR spectroscopy. 2D NMR techniques have been applied in order to assign all the NMR resonances to the structures of the PBP investigated. The NMR spectra show that the most regular PBP structure is obtained by radiation-induced polymerization followed by the free radical initiated polymerization. The most defective structure has been observed in the case of PBP prepared by cationic mechanism over a Friedel-Crafts catalyst. The discussion accounts for different types of defects and cross-links present in the PBPs investigated whose fundamental structure is based on the p-menthene repeating unit. NMR self-diffusion measurements have been performed to evaluate the molecular weight of all the PBP investigated. The highest molecular weight (2600 Dalton) was found in the case of PBP prepared by Ziegler-Natta catalyst, while the lowest molecular weight was found in the case of PBP prepared by radiation-induced polymerization (about 1000 Dalton). 相似文献

New monolithic HPLC columns were prepared by γ-radiation-triggered polymerization of hexyl methacrylate and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate monomers in the presence of porogenic solvents. Polymerization was carried out directly within capillary (250-200 μm I.D.) and nano (100-75 μm I.D.) fused-silica tubes yielding highly efficient columns for cap(nano)-LC applications. The columns were applied in the complete separation of core (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) and linker (H1) histones under gradient elution with UV and/or electrospray ionization (ESI) ion trap mass spectrometry (MS) detections. Large selectivity towards H1, H2A-1, H2A-2, H2B, H3-1, H3-2 and H4 histones and complete separation were obtained within 8 min time windows, using fast gradients and very high linear flow velocities, up to 11 mm/s for high throughput applications. The method developed was the basis of a simple and efficient protocol for the evaluation of post-translational modifications (PTMs) of histones from NCI-H460 human non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and HCT-116 human colorectal carcinoma cells. The study was extended to monitoring the level of histone acetylation after inhibition of Histone DeACetylase (HDAC) enzymes with suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid (SAHA), the first HDAC inhibitor approved by the FDA for cancer therapy. Attractive features of our cap(nano)-LC/MS approach are the short analysis time, the minute amount of sample required to complete the whole procedure and the stability of the polymethacrylate-based columns. A lab-made software package ClustMass was ad hoc developed and used to elaborate deconvoluted mass spectral data (aligning, averaging, clustering) and calculate the potency of HDAC inhibitors, expressed through a Relative half maximal Inhibitory Concentration parameter, namely R_IC(50) and an averaged acetylation degree. 相似文献

Four types of chopped fibers have been studied as reinforcement additives in a standard natural rubber based, carbon black filled formulation. The fibers studied were aramide (2 types) and polyester (2 types). The chopped fibers were added on top of the carbon black filled rubber compound at 2, 4, and 8 phr levels. The extra reinforcing effect in the modulus, especially at low elongation, the increase in hardness, the anisotropic properties, and the stiffening effects have been studied together with the evaluation of the mechanical hysteresis in strain and in compression. The permanent set of the resulting rubber compounds have been evaluated as well. The best compromise in performances and price was found for a certain type of polyester fiber. 相似文献

In a congruence modular subtractive variety there are both the commutator of ideals and the commutator of congruences. We prove that, if I' is the smallest congruence having an ideal I as a congruence class, then [I,J] = 0 /[I', J']. The general identity [0/ !,0 / #] = 0/[!,#] for !, # congruences, does not always hold; we give several conditions equivalent to this identity and sufficient conditions for it to hold. In the meantime, we get some other characterizations of the commutator of ideals. We also deal with the equational definability of principal commutators in a subtractive variety and with the extension property of the commutator from ideals of a subalgebra to the commutator of ideals of the whole algebra. 相似文献

As a sequel to [23] we investigate ideal properties focusing on subtractive varieties. After having listed a few basic results, we give several characterizations of the commutator of ideals and prove, for example, that it commutes with finite direct products. We deal with the ideal extension property (IEP) and with related commutator properties, showing for instance that IEP implies that the commutator commutes with restriction to subalgebras. Then we characterize varieties with distributive ideal lattices and relate this property with (a form of) equationally definable principal ideals and with IEP. Then, at the other extreme, we deal with Abelian and Hamiltonian properties (of ideals and congruences), giving for example a purely ideal theoretic characterization of varieties of Abelian groups with linear operations. Since red blood cells (RBCs) lack nuclei and organelles, cell membrane is their main load-bearing component and, according to a dynamic interaction with the cytoskeleton compartment, plays a pivotal role in their functioning. Even if erythrocyte membranes are available in large quantities, the low abundance and the hydrophobic nature of cell membrane proteins complicate their purification and detection by conventional 2D gel-based proteomic approaches. So, in order to increase the efficiency of RBC membrane proteome identification, here we took advantage of a simple and reproducible membrane sub-fractionation method coupled to Multidimensional Protein Identification Technology (MudPIT). In addition, the adoption of a stringent RBC filtration strategy from the whole blood, permitted to remove exhaustively contaminants, such as platelets and white blood cells, and to identify a total of 275 proteins in the three RBC membrane fractions collected and analysed. Finally, by means of software for the elaboration of the great quantity of data obtained and programs for statistical analysis and protein classification, it was possible to determine the validity of the entire system workflow and to assign the proper sub-cellular localization and function for the greatest number of the identified proteins. 相似文献
