A poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm)-like biodegradable thermosensitive polydepsipeptide, poly[Glc-Asn(N-isopropyl)], was synthesized by introducing an isopropyl amide group into poly[Glc-Asn]. Poly[Glc-Asn(N-isopropyl)] was degraded in vitro by cleavage of the ester bonds in the main chain in water at room temperature. The non-toxic nature of the polymer and its degradation products, coupled with a cloud point at 29 degrees C in water, make this polymer attractive for biomedical implant applications.  相似文献

Compact Dry TC qualifies as a rapid method kit for determining aerobic colony counts in foods. The plates are presterilized and contain culture medium and a cold-soluble gelling agent. The medium is rehydrated by inoculating 1 mL diluted sample into the center of the self-diffusible medium and allowing the solution to diffuse by capillary action. The plates can then be incubated and the colonies counted without any additional steps. The Compact Dry TC method was validated with 5 different raw meats. The performance tests were conducted at 35 degrees and 30 degrees C. In all required performance studies, no apparent differences were observed between the Compact Dry TC method and the Standard Pour Plate method (AOAC Official Method 966.23) for the detection level of aerobic microorganisms. For the accuracy claim (n = 60), a correlation factor of r2(35) = 0.9977 (35 degrees C) and r2(30) = 0.9932 (30 degrees C) could be assigned, as stated in the application for "Performance Tested Method." Quality consistency and storage robustness studies, showed no significant variations in plate count results with different production lots or plates of diverse storage age.  相似文献

Amphiphilic AB‐type diblock copolymers composed of hydrophobic poly(L ‐lactide) (PLA) segments and hydrophilic poly(glycolic acid lysine) [poly(Glc‐Lys)] segments with amino side‐chain groups self‐associated to form PLA‐based polymeric micelles with amino surfaces in an aqueous solution. The average diameter of the loose core–shell polymeric micelles for poly(Glc‐Lys) [number‐average molecular weight (Mn) = 1240]‐b‐PLA (Mn = 7000) obtained by a dimethyl sulfoxide/water dialysis method was estimated to be about 50 nm in water by dynamic light scattering measurements. The size and shape of the obtained polymeric micelles were further observed with transmission electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. To investigate the possibility of applying the obtained PLA‐based polymeric micelles as bioabsorbable vehicles for hydrophobic drugs, we tested the entrapment of drugs in poly(Glc‐Lys) (Mn = 1240)‐b‐PLA (Mn = 7000) micelles and their release with doxorubicin as a hydrophobic drug. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Growth rate has a direct impact on the productivity of nitride LED production.Atmospheric pressure growth of GaN with a growth rate as high as 10μm/h and also Al0.1Ga0.9N growth of 1μm/h by using 4 inch by 11 production scale MOVPE are described.XRD of(002) and(102) direction was 200 arcsec and 250 arcsec, respectively.Impact of the growth rate on productivity is discussed.  相似文献

The effect of alloying elements on the toughness and the fracture behaviour was investigated on seven kinds of Mg-0.3?at.% X (X?=?Ag, Al, Ca, Pb, Sn, Y and Zn) alloys with a grain size of 3–5?μm. The fracture toughness and fracture behaviour in magnesium alloys were closely related to the segregation energy. The Mg–Al and –Zn alloys that had small segregation energy showed high toughness and ductile fracture in most regions, while the Mg–Ca alloy with large segregation energy exhibited low toughness and intergranular fracture. These different tendencies resulted from solute segregation at grain boundaries (GBs). The change in the lattice parameter ratio was the influential material parameter regardless of whether the GB embrittlement was for enhancement or suppression.  相似文献

Selective epitaxial growth of a GaAs layer on SiNx masked Si-doped semi-insulating (1 0 0) GaAs substrate was performed by current-controlled liquid-phase epitaxy (CCLPE) in the conventional liquid-phase epitaxy. Experiments were carried out with and without the application of electric current. Surface morphology of (1 0 0) facet of the grown layer and the vertical and lateral growth rates were significantly improved under applied electric current. A thick layer of about 330 μm was achieved at relatively low growth time of 6 h with a current density of 20 Acm−2. The epitaxial growth is realized by both electromigration of the solute and supercooling under a constant rate of furnace cooling. The dislocation density of the grown layer was significantly reduced, compared with that of the substrate (4×104 cm2).  相似文献

The nuclear spin alignments of the β-emitting fragments 12B(I π=1+, T 1/2=20.2 ms) and 13B(I π=3/2, T 1/2=17.4 ms) produced in the 100A-MeV 13C, 15N + 9Be collisions respectively have been observed for the first time detecting asymmetric β-ray emission from these nuclei. By means of the spin manipulation technique based on the hyperfine interaction of B isotopes in TiO2, both the polarization P and the alignment A were determined reliably. The obtained P and A were significantly smaller than the expectation from the kinematical model. From the fact that the quenching factors for P and A are almost the same, there may be some depolarization mechanism in the collision process itself. A low-speed screen/film system was used to investigate structure mottle, i.e., the density fluctuation of an x-ray film due to inhomogeneous screen structure. The tube voltage dependence of the Wiener spectra of the structure mottle was separately determined for front and back film emulsions. The Wiener spectral values of the structure mottle of the front emulsion were greater than those of the back emulsion at lower tube voltages. The spectral values of the structure mottle of the front emulsion decreased with tube voltage, while those of the back emulsion increased. We explain these phenomena by the behavior of the Wiener spectra of the relative spatial fluctuation of fluorescence intensity due to following reasons: (1) spatial thickness fluctuation of the screen produces a relative spatial fluctuation of x-ray energy absorbed in the screen, and (2) as the distance between the emulsion of the film and the average position of the x-ray absorption in the screen lengthens, the number of random scattering and absorption of light photons increase.Presented at the International Commission for Optics Topical Meeting, Kyoto, 1994.  相似文献

The syntheses of polylactides (PLAs) with branched peptide end groups containing reactive (ionic) moieties such as amino or carboxyl groups are described and were used to prepare PLA‐based microspheres (MSs) with positively or negatively charged surfaces. Branched peptides with hydroxyl end groups and four protected amino or carboxyl groups, Boc4‐K3‐OH or Bn4‐E3‐OH, were synthesized, and the hydroxyl group converted to an alkoxide and was used as the initiation site for the ring‐opening polymerization of L ‐lactide. Subsequent deprotection gave PLAs end‐capped with branched peptides having four amino or carboxyl groups, respectively (K3‐PLA and E3‐PLA). K3‐PLA and E3‐PLA were converted to K34+‐PLA and E34?‐PLA by acid or base treatment, respectively. MSs with charged surfaces were then prepared using K34+‐PLA or E34?‐PLA as a surfactant [MS(K34+‐PLA) or MS(E34?‐PLA)]. The ionic surface state of the MSs was confirmed by colloidal titration and zeta potential analysis.
