Absorbance values between 300 and 800 nm of aqueous solutions of poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide-co-itaconic acid-9.80), poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide-co-itaconic acid-52.05) and poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide)s containing Tegomer H-Si 2111 end groups and/or blocks were measured using a Shimadzu 160-A UV-visible spectrometer. Turbidities obtained from these absorbance values were used to interpret the macromolecular phase transition from a hydrophilic to a hydrophobic structure of the polymers. The effects of comonomer type and content, concentration of the solutions, pH and temperature on the coil-globule transition were discussed in terms of turbidity form factor, β related to size and shapes of particles and calculated by using the simplified form of Debye equation.The results presented in this work show that the presence of Tegomer H-Si 2111 (Si containing end groups and/or blocks) or high amount of itaconic acid (IA) in the chains prevent a collapse transition from hydrated extended coils to hydrophobic globules, which aggregate and form a separate phase (β<2). Furthermore, it was observed that in the case of concentrated solutions intermolecular hydrophobic interactions between isopropyl groups overcame the repulsive forces resulting from the ionized carboxylic acid groups of IA or surface active nature of Si containing hydrophobic groups (β>2). This stage of the transition corresponds to macroscopic phase separation after an intramolecular process. 相似文献

Activity concentrations of gross-β, naturally occurring 226Ra, 232Th, 210Pb, 7Be and anthropogenic 137Cs in epiphytic lichens collected from Uluda? Mountain are presented and discussed with the aim of evaluating potential usability of lichens as a biomonitor. The activity concentrations of gross-β, 137Cs, 40K, 226Ra, 232Th, 210Pb and 7Be in the lichen samples were found to be in the range of 177–707, 4.05–94.26, 86–211, below detection limit (BDL)—19.2, BDL—14.0, 229–872, and 72.1–220.7 Bq kg?1 in dry weight, respectively. 137Cs content in collected epiphytic lichens was in descending order: Parmelia sulcata > Lobaria pulmonaria > Pseudevernia furfuracea > Usnea filipendula. The best biomonitor for 137Cs among the lichen species used in this study was determined as Parmelia sulcata. Pearson’s correlation coefficient was calculated between 137Cs and 40K activity concentrations using a statistical package program (SPSS ver. 17.0) and a negative correlation value (R = ?0,323, p = 0,222) was obtained. The highest 226Ra and 232Th activity concentrations were found in Bo?azova Yaylas? which has a geological structure including granitic rocks. It was found that 137Cs and 7Be activity concentrations in species demonstrated an inverse behaviour. The effect of mean annual precipitation and temperature on 7Be activity concentration was determined using multi regression analysis. Also, correlations between the 137Cs and 7Be, and 40K and 7Be were investigated. 相似文献

This study aimed to produce nanoparticles of poly (acrylonitrile‐co‐itaconic acid) (P (AN‐co‐IA)) containing conjugated polymers of pyrrole, N‐Methylpyrrole, 2,5‐dimethylpyrrole, and 1‐(Triisopropylsilyl)pyrrole which were synthesized by emulsion polymerization. Nanocomposite structures of P (AN‐co‐IA)/polypyrrole and polymer of pyrrole derivatives were produced via in situ polymerization, and the nanoparticle formation were followed by morphologic and ultraviolet‐visible (UV‐Vis) spectroscopic methods. Characterizations were made by Fourier transform infrared‐attenuated total reflectance (FTIR‐ATR) and Raman spectroscopy. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) was used for investigating the surface characteristics of the nanoparticles. Characterization results revealed that nanoparticles containing conjugated polymers had rougher surface than P (AN‐co‐IA) nanoparticles. It was also observed that the nanoparticles were well‐distributed although having some agglomerates. Moreover, depending on the type of monomer of conjugated polymer, the shape and size of the produced nanoparticles differed by conjunction with their polymerization rate. These findings can be used as a startup information for production of carbon nanofibers (CNFs) with desired properties after oxidation and carbonization, and as a high‐performance and cost‐effective flame and heat‐resistant material (oxidized copolymers of polyacrylonitrile nanofiber). 相似文献

Pitaya is one of the most preferred and produced tropical fruit species recently introduced to the Mediterrranean region in Turkey. Due to its nutritional fruits with high economic value, the popularity of pitaya increases steadily in Turkey as an alternative crop. No detailed nutritional analysis has been undertaken in Turkey so far on fruits of the pitaya species. In this study, we determined and compared some nutritional parameters in fruit flesh of two pitaya (dragon fruit) species (Hylocereus polyrhizus: Siyam and Hylocereus undatus: Vietnam Jaina) grown in the Adana province located in the eastern Mediterranean region in Turkey. The individual sugars, antioxidant activity, total phenolic content, phenolic compounds and volatiles were determined for the first time in Turkey on two pitaya species. The results showed that total phenol content and antioxidant capacity are notably higher in red-fleshed fruits than white-fleshed ones and the predominant phenolic compound in fruits of both species was quercetin. The total sugar content and most of the phenolic compounds in fruits of two pitaya species were similar. A total of 51 volatile compounds were detected by using two Solid Phase Micro Extraction (SPME) fibers, coupled with Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) techniques, and more volatile compounds were presented in the white-fleshed species. Total phenolic content (TPC) of the red-fleshed and white-fleshed pitaya species were 16.66 and 17.11 mg GAE/100 g FW (fresh weight). This study provides a first look at the biochemical comparison of red-fleshed and white-fleshed pitaya species introduced and cultivated in Turkey. The results also showed, for the first time, the biochemical content and the potential health benefit of Hylocereus grown in different agroecological conditions, providing important information for pitaya researchers and application perspective. 相似文献

Synthesis of a co‐polymer of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) producing a carbon nanofiber out of PAN and co‐polymer of PAN and comparison between these products were examined. Free‐radical solution copolymerization of acrylonitrile (AN) with acrylic acid (AA) was studied. In this perspective, AA, and AN were used as a precursor for polymerization reactions; then copolymers were synthesized by using ammonium persulfate (APS) as an oxidant and carried in water/dimethylformamide (DMF) mixture. These polymers were used to obtain corresponding electrospun nanofibers. Synthesized P(AN‐co‐AA) was investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy‐attenuated total reflection (FTIR‐ATR) spectroscopy, and characteristic peaks for AN unit, AA were achieved. Thermal behavior was examined by using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and thermal gravimetric analyzer (TGA), and results indicated that addition of monomers to AN unit reduced the Tg value of homopolymer PAN compared to P(AN‐co‐AA), which provides improvement to the cyclization and the formation of a thermally stable aromatic ladder polymer chain formation. In order to prevent the shrinkage and maintain the molecular orientation on nanofiber webs during stabilization, tension was applied to the samples, and thermal oxidation varies at 200–300°C for different duration of times. Surface morphology of the fibers was observed with scanning electron microscope (SEM), and average nanofiber diameter was found 550 nm, and after carbonization it was reduced to 320 nm for homopolymer PAN, and for poly(AN‐co‐AA) average nanofiber diameter was found as 220 nm and reduced to 130 nm, respectively. systems and selection of the sampling interval to improve the detection performance are
considered. Cost functions are proposed to optimize both uniform and nonuniform sampling
intervals for the well-known cumulative sum algorithm. Some iterative techniques
are presented to make online optimization computationally feasible. It is shown that considerable
improvement in the detection performance can be obtained by using nonuniform

Concentration of (222)Rn was determined in selected natural spring and tap water samples collected during spring and summer seasons from Kastamonu, Turkey. The aim of this work was to produce a map of the radon concentrations in water sources of the province and to determine any potential radiological risk for the local population. Radon measurements were performed by an AlphaGUARD radon gas analyser. The average radon concentrations were found to vary from 0.39±0.02 to 12.73±0.39?Bq?l(-1) for natural springs and from 0.36±0.04 to 9.29±0.45?Bq?l(-1) for tap water in spring, from 0.50±0.09 to 19.21±1.00?Bq?l(-1) for natural springs and from 0.31±0.03 to 13.14±0.38?Bq?l(-1) for tap water in summer. Furthermore, the results are compared with international recommendations and concentrations reported for other countries. Doses resulting from the consumption of these waters were calculated. The effective dose equivalents due to the intake of the (222)Rn present in these waters are expected to range from 0.93 to 32.54?μSv?y(-1) in summer and from 0.80 to 49.09?μSv?y(-1) in spring. 相似文献

The Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer for the Earth Observing System (AMSR-E) was developed and provided to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's EOS Aqua satellite by the National Space Development Agency of Japan, as one of the indispensable instruments for Aqua's mission. AMSR-E is a modified version of AMSR that was launched December 2002 aboard the Advanced Earth Observing Satellite-II (ADEOS-II). It is a six-frequency dual-polarized total-power passive microwave radiometer that observes water-related geophysical parameters supporting global change science and monitoring efforts. The hardware improvements over existing spaceborne microwave radiometers for Earth imaging include the largest main reflector of its kind and addition of 6.925-GHz channels. These improvements provide finer spatial resolution and the capability to retrieve sea surface temperature and soil moisture information on a global basis. In this paper, both of current-mode and voltage-mode proportional plus integral plus derivative (PID) controllers employing the second-generation current conveyors (CCIIs) as active elements are developed. The presented novel PID controllers have grounded passive elements that do not need passive element matching, and realize independently adjustable PID parameters. Thus, it is easy to implement these PID controllers in integrated circuits. Several computer simulations are presented to demonstrate the behavior of these proposed PID controllers. 相似文献
