With increasing use of the Internet as a content-distribution platform, mere interoperability of the codec is no longer sufficient if content owners are not prepared to distribute their content online for fear of piracy. Therefore, one also needs interoperability in the area of managing and protecting related intellectual property rights. To provide interoperability of digital rights management (DRM) systems to protect the content rather than the distribution channel, MPEG has embarked on developing intellectual property management and protection (IPMP) specifications targeted at the content itself that are natively built into its standards. It is the hope that such standards will allow for interoperability of content commerce systems, giving consumers more choice, while providing rights holders with the tools to effectively protect their assets and to develop complex and attractive business offering to tempt consumers. While it remains uncertain whether standardization is in fact the right vehicle to provide the e-content market with an impetus to grow, it appears that MPEG is working on a set of specifications with relatively good chances of helping to achieve this goal.  相似文献

In this survey, we first review the concept of congestion control with a focus on the Transmission Control Protocol⁄Internet Protocol (TCP⁄IP). We describe many recently proposed algorithms to combat congestion and improve performance, particularly active queue management (AQM) algorithms such as random early detection (RED) and its variants. We then survey control-theoretic analysis and design of TCP congestion control with an AQM scheme. In addition, we discuss three problems associated with AQM proposals: parameter setting, the insensitivity to the input traffic load variation, and the mismatch between macroscopic and microscopic behavior of queue length dynamics. As alternatives to AQM algorithms, we also survey architectural approaches such as modification of source or network algorithms, and economic approaches including pricing or optimization of allocated resources. Finally, we list many open issues that persist in the design, operation, and control of the Internet.  相似文献

Ethoxycarbonylalkylidene derivatives 2 and 6 of the title hydrazones were obtained in the reaction with ethyl pyruvate or ethyl aroylformate and ethyl acetoacetate, respectively, in methanol. Both compounds were mixtures of geometric isomers with high predominance of one of them. Nmr spectroscopy revealed an unexpected magnetic non-equivalence of the CH2 protons in the ester ethyl group of the major isomer of 6 . On heating (?200°) in an inert medium or on refluxing in ethanolic sodium ethoxide 2 cyclized to the corresponding pyridazino[6,1-c]-triazines 4 , whereas 6 formed pyrazolylpyridazines 7 . The structure of the latter was unambigously established by X-ray analysis. Alkylation of 4a with benzyl bromide in the presence of tetrabutylammonium bromide occurred selectively on the pyridazine N atom.  相似文献

The structure of the new medium‐pore aluminophosphate molecular sieve PST‐6 is determined by the combined use of rotation electron diffraction tomography, synchrotron X‐ray powder diffraction, and computer modeling. PST‐6 was prepared by calcination of another new aluminophosphate material with an unknown structure synthesized using diethylamine as a structure‐directing agent, which is thought to contain bridging hydroxy groups. PST‐6 has 36 crystallographically distinct tetrahedral sites in the asymmetric unit and is thus crystallographically the most complex zeolitic structure ever solved.  相似文献

As shown for biotin lipids (Ref. 1), the formation of perfect 2-D crystalline streptavidin domains can also be observed in the plane of desthiobiotin lipid monolayers. The binding constant of streptavidin with desthiobiotin (Ka = 5·1013 mol−1) is lower than that with biotin (Ka = 1015 mol−1) (Ref. 2). By adding free biotin into the subphase a competitive replacement and a detaching of the streptavidin domains from the desthiobiotin lipid monolayer takes place. Streptavidin domains built at receptor lipid monolayers are still functional. As could be shown, there are two biotin binding sites at each protein molecule that are fully accessible to biotin (Ref. 1). This can be proven by the interaction with biotinylated ferritin and fluoresceinated biotin. Further coupling of an anti-FITC-antibody can proceed and a second protein layer can be formed. Using a bifunctional biotin linker a second crystalline streptavidin layer underneath the first one can be obtained.  相似文献

We study categorical aspects of the Jaffard–Ohm correspondencebetween abelian l-groups and Bézout domains and showthat this correspondence is close to a localization. For thispurpose, we establish a general extension theorem for valuationswith value group that is an abelian l-group. As an application,we prove Anderson's conjecture which refines the Jaffard–Ohmcorrespondence. We then extend the correspondence to sheaveson spectral spaces and show that the spectrum of a Bézoutdomain and the spectrum of its corresponding abelian l-groupprovide a concrete example for Hochster's duality of spectralspaces.  相似文献

We give a axiomatic treatment of the absolute in the category of all topological spaces and characterize it as a cover with respect to the full subcategory of extremally disconnected spaces.
