A simple design sensor is demonstrated using a fabricated multimode plastic fiber coupler in conjunction with reflective intensity modulation technique. The performances of this sensor are investigated for different light sources. This sensor uses only one fiber for sending and receiving the light and therefore only the back slope exists. The sensor shows the highest performance with the use of yellow light source, which has the highest intensity and the smallest beam divergence. The sensitivity, linear range, resolution and dynamic range of the sensor are obtained at 0.0001 mV/μm, 1500 μm, 70 μm, and 5.0 mm, respectively. The simplicity of the design, high degree of sensitivity, dynamic range and the low cost of the fabrication make it suitable for real field applications. 相似文献

Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a self-organizing wireless network for mobile devices. It does not require any fixed infrastructure to be configured which makes it more suitable to be used in environments that require on-the-fly setup. This paper discusses the challenging issues in MANET routing security. It presents FrAODV, a trust-based scheme for securing AODV routing protocol in MANET using the friendship mechanism. The nodes can evaluate the routing paths according to some selected features (such as node reputation and identity information) before forwarding the data through these routes. We have used two types of implementation in our scheme, simulation (using NS2) and real test-bed (using JADHOC). This scheme is believed to provide a robust environment where MANET nodes can trust each other in a secure community. 相似文献

Sungai Mas was an ancient port-kingdom located on West Coast of Peninsula Malaysia in a district of Kota Kuala Muda, Kedah,
Malaysia. The port-kingdom evolved as an entrepot since fifth century AD and continuously visited by international trader
from India, China, Middle East and Europe until eighteenth century AD. Sungai Mas was also one of the Indo-Pacific beads making
centers in Southeast Asia since sixth to thirteenth century AD and also produced pottery and brick. X-ray fluorescent analysis
(XRF) on Sungai Mas Indo-Pacific beads is carried out to determine whether the glass beads originated from Arikamedu, India
or locally made by community in Sungai Mas. Totally, twenty-two samples of beads and beads materials assayed by XRF were chosen.
Contents of nine major elements and nine trace elements, which might be present of flux, stabilizer, colorants or opacifier
were examined. The elements Si, Na, K, Ca, Fe, Al, Ti, Mn, Mg, Cu, Pb, Zr, Sr, Ba, La, U, Ni and Cr were detectable in all
samples. The concentration of elements found are discussed in terms of flux, silica or lead base glass, color and/or opacity
of the glass beads and glass samples. The result showed that Sungai Mas produced their own Indo-Pacific beads from sixth to

The performances of the fiber optic-based displacement sensor with reflective and transmitting techniques were investigated.
The effects of axial displacement on the detected voltage were investigated for different tilting angles of the reflective
and receiving fibers. Three types of light sources were used, yellow and red He-Ne including a green pointer laser at peak
wavelengths of 594, 633, and 533 nm correspondingly. The highest sensitivity and resolution were obtained at 0.0017 mV/μm
and 4 μm, respectively with the employment of a 594 nm laser as the light source. These were attributed to the output power
and beam quality of the laser which was the highest. The tilting angles didn’t change the sensitivity and resolution of the
sensors in both setups. The widest linear range was obtained at 2410 μm with the transmitting technique. The simplicity of
the design, high degree of sensitivity, linear range, non-contact measurement and low cost fabrication make it suitable for
industrially-orientated applications that include control and micro-displacement in the hazardous region. 相似文献
