We report the first kinematically complete study of the four-body fragmentation of the D2 molecule following absorption of a single photon. For equal energy sharing of the two electrons and a photon energy of 75.5 eV, we observed the relaxation of one of the selection rules valid for He photo-double-ionization and a strong dependence of the electron angular distribution on the orientation of the molecular axis. This effect is reproduced by a model in which a pair of photoionization amplitudes is introduced for the light polarization parallel and perpendicular to the molecular axis. 相似文献

The set of equations describing photorefractive four-wave mixing of image-bearing beams has been solved in the presence of diffraction using a perturbation analysis assuming a strong uniform backward pump and a weak conjugate. To first order, it was found that the conjugate image is bilinearly related to the forward-pump and probe images. By using a Green's function approach, an analytical expression for the bilinear kernel was derived. This kernel, which governs the bandwidth of the conjugation system, is a function of the material parameters, the beam angles, and the crystal length. When a conjugator is used to determine the correlation between two images, the result was found to be a distorted version of the correlation image. We have reinvestigated temperature effects on the rates of hydrolysis of 0.0585M sucrose in 0.57M HCl solutions over the range of 10–40°C using polarimetry as a physical method to follow the reaction while simultaneously analyzing the solutions by HPLC for the disappearance of sucrose and by GLC for the appearance of glucose. When the polarimetric data are corrected for the mutarotation lag, the energy of activation values are the same by all three analytical methods and are temperature-independent. 相似文献
