An improved model for ground-shielded (GS) test fixtures is proposed. The proposed model provides more accurate device-under-test gap behavioral model than previous test-fixture models and takes into account the impedance of the ground return path. The new model is validated up to 25 GHz by comparing the model simulations with experimental measurements. The proposed model is applied to bulk-silicon- and sapphire-based GS test fixtures with different layouts. Furthermore, a large phase shift in the shield-based test-fixture forward transmission is reported in this study. Based on the results achieved, suggestions for deembedding method selection are given. Test fixtures were fabricated using a 0.35-/spl mu/m CMOS process and 0.5-/spl mu/m silicon-on-sapphire CMOS process.  相似文献

Small‐angle and wide‐angle X‐ray scattering and anomalous small‐angle X‐ray scattering were used to investigate proton‐conducting membranes prepared by radiation‐induced styrene grafting and sulfonation of commercial poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF‐g‐PS) films. The membranes retain the lamellar and highly oriented structure of the original PVDF films even through excessive grafting and sulfonation. The sulfonate groups aggregate in the central part of the amorphous layers, where they form a weakly ordered structure that does not show any preferred orientation. This structure is suggested to be lamellar with alternate metal‐sulfonated hydrate and PVDF‐g‐PS layers. The lamellar period is 15.1 Å. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Printed electronics is expected to increase its market share significantly in near future. The emerging applications include e.g. display applications, RFID tags, and photovoltaic applications. A benefit of printing is the additive character of the process, which means that material is deposited only the amount that is needed. Digital printing increases flexibility of the process, because circuits are manufactured directly from a digital file, which removes need of fixed masks or patterned screens for each layout. Formation of a multilayer circuitry requires printing of conductive and insulative layers. This paper focuses on printing of a dielectric layer with an inkjet printer. Six sigma DMAIC approach was applied during the process characterization and analysis. The study began by defining the process parameters and evaluating their importance to the outputs. Highest rated parameters were taken into consideration and a design of experiments was established. Measured values were analyzed and it was observed which parameters had the highest effect on the outputs. The results were further verified and it was observed that electrically the printed structures were successful.  相似文献

A new method for the synthesis of polymerizable ionic liquids bearing a methacrylate moiety was developed with the aim to avoid premature polymerization of synthesized compounds. Spacer length between the imidazolium cation and the polymerizable functional group varied from 2 to 10 carbon atoms. Different 1-(n-hydroxyalkyl)-3-methylimidazolium bromides and 1-[n-(methacryloyloxy)-alkyl]-3-methylimidazolium bromides were obtained with very good yields (more than 90%).

The manufacturing method utilizing digital printing technology offers alternatives to create electronic structures to be used even in microelectronic applications. Material deposition based on digital inkjet technology offers advantages over both traditional mask-etch technologies and other printing methods. Inkjet technology works in an additive manner, reducing material consumption and the amount of created waste. Additionally, the digital nature of the process allows flexible production, e.g., rapid design changes, quick prototyping, and small, customized series. This research paper introduces ink jetting performance optimization utilized in a concept where discrete components and bare silicon chips were integrated in a single module with ink jetted interconnections. Jetting optimization of fluids enhances the droplet placement and volume accuracy that is a critical issue when forming interconnections for dense IC circuits. The overall drop placement error in jet printing is a combination of several error sources such as mechanical, dynamical and material related issues. However, the largest error portion is induced by a single printhead. The printhead related errors can be detected by observing the flight behavior after firing from the printhead nozzle. This paper focuses on optimizing the performance of ejected droplets during flight, i.e., drop formation sequence and minimum flight time variance. The average drop velocities of drops fired from separate printhead nozzles can be used to evaluate the difference in placement on substrate, which in worse case may lead to electrical wiring failures. The performance optimization was done by analyzing the initial state, modeling the drop velocity during flight, optimizing the process parameters to satisfy the model, and accepting the model after verification. Two inks, conductive and dielectric, were evaluated and improvement in placement accuracy was achieved through enhanced uniformity in drop average velocities, a dimensionless number, coefficient of variation was enhanced from 0.051 to 0.040,with conductive ink and from 0.111 to 0.049 with dielectric ink, thus decreasing the velocity related drop placement error.  相似文献

The fabrication and characterization of green, flexible, and ultra-thin supercapacitors that are able to operate above 1.5 V is reported, using an all-printed fabrication process. The devices are produced by aqueous spray casting of a natural-derived electrolyte ionogel composed by 2-hydroxyethyl cellulose and by the ionic liquid choline lactate, while the electrodes are composed of highly porous nanostructured carbon films deposited by supersonic cluster beam deposition (SCBD). The obtained supercapacitors (device thickness < 10 μm) are stable to bending and they possess power values up to 120 kW kg–1. The combination of aqueous spray casting and SCBD constitutes a versatile, scalable, and eco-friendly fabrication process able to directly print interconnected elements suitable for transient electronic systems.  相似文献

In this study, capillary electrophoresis (CE) was used for separation of inorganic and organic ions from waters of paper and paperboard machines at mills. The instrument was constructed for on-line measurements by building a batch-type sample feeding unit. Chloride, thiosulphate, sulphate, oxalate, sulphite, hydrogen sulphide, formate, carbonate, phosphate and acetate in the process water samples were separated using an ion-specific separation system in CE with dicarboxylic acid buffer (pH 8.2), with pyridinium-2,3-dicarboxylic acid modified with commercial NICE-Pak OFM-OH solution (pH 12.0) or with a cetyltrimethylammonium bromide solution modified with chromate (pH 10.6). In addition, Analis CEofix Anions 8 electrolyte solution was tested in on-line studies at mills. It allowed 5 min separation time for the anions. Aluminium was determined at pH 3.6 in 10 min by using a laboratory-made imidazole buffer modified with 18-crown 6-ether. The developed CE systems were used to monitor the concentrations of sulphur species in dithionite degradation, to estimate corrosion degree in the water tanks, to monitor formaldehyde as the biocide chemical in wire washing and, in general, to observe process disturbances resulting from chemical feedings and their sites. The CE combination was on-line coupled to eight different process machines for continuous monitoring of concentrations for periods between two weeks and one month at paper and pulp mills in Finland.  相似文献
