Synchronous fiber-optic CDMA using hard-limiter and BCH codes   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
In this paper, synchronons code division multiple access (S/CDMA) for fiber-optic local area networks is considered. The performance of the fiber-optic S/CDMA network with negligible thermal and shot noises is interference limited. Here we derive the bit error rate of the S/CDMA system as a function of code length and number of active users, and the performance characteristics are also discussed. Furthermore, we analyze the performance of the fiber-optic S/CDMA system with an ideal optical hard-limiter, and the error probability with error control coding is also derived. In addition, the optimization between the S/CDMA and BCH codes of a constant bandwidth system is presented. The results show that by using an ideal hard-limiter in conjunction with BCH codes in this system, the influence of interference arising from other users can be greatly reduced, and the number of active users can also be increased significantly  相似文献

An unprecedented C,C-linked dimeric norcembranoid (sinulochmodin A, 1), a novel isocembranoid (sinulochmodin B, 2), and a novel yonarane norditerpenoid (sinulochmodin C, 3) were isolated from the soft coral Sinularia lochmodes. The structures of these metabolites were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis and on the basis of the absolute structures of two related norditerpenoids (4 and 5), which were determined for the first time by a modified Mosher method. Three new polyoxygenated diterpenoids with a rare 4-isopropyl-1,5,8a-trimethylperhydrophenanthrane structure of the klysimplexane skeleton, briarols A‒C (1‒3), and one eunicellin-based diterpenoid, briarol D (4), were isolated from Briareum violaceum, a gorgonian inhabiting Taiwanese waters. The chemical structures of these compounds were determined by employing extensive analyses of NMR and high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HRESIMS) data. Metabolites 1‒3 were found to possess the rarely found skeleton of the diterpenoid klysimplexin T. All isolated compounds showed very weak cytotoxic activity against the growth of three cancer cell lines. A plausible biosynthetic pathway for briarols A‒C from the coexisting eunicellin diterpenoid briarol D (4) was postulated.  相似文献

Previously, the timing estimation in OFDM system employs cyclic prefix has been presented with the assumption of independent identified distributed OFDM symbol. The information used to find the symbol synchronization depends on the length of cyclic prefix. Actually, the data in the BPSK-OFDM modulated symbol, transferred by inverse fast Fourier transform, is with a complex symmetry character. With this character, more information from the whole OFDM symbol could be provided for the symbol timing. In this paper, the proposed algorithm uses the autocorrelation of the received signal to obtain the symbol timing. The simulation of Beek’s algorithm and the proposed scheme are presented. The performances of these algorithms are evaluated based on the missing symbol probability and the estimator mean square error. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is suitable to achieve a better symbol synchronization.  相似文献

Radio spectrum is the most valuable resource for wireless communication, thus high spectrum utilization is mostly desired to increase system economy. With an efficient frequency allocation method and an effective handoff procedure, a personal communication system can be operated with minimal number of carriers while maintaining an acceptable level of system performance, and thereby leading to a better spectrum utilization. In this paper, we study the effect of different channel selection criteria for handoff procedure on carrier planning problem with Block Oriented Network Simulator (BONeS). The results show that the C/I-based channel selection criterion leads to the best performance, and the minimal numbers of carriers required by Personal Access Communications System (PACS) are 16, 13, 10 carriers for propagation environments with path-loss exponent 2.76, 3, 4, respectively.  相似文献

A hybrid Taguchi genetic algorithm (HTGA) is applied in this paper to solve the problem of designing optimal digital infinite-impulse response (IIR) filters. The HTGA approach is a method of combining the traditional GA (TGA), which has a powerful global exploration capability, with the Taguchi method, which can exploit the optimum offspring. The Taguchi method is inserted between crossover and mutation operations of a TGA. Based on minimizing the L/sub p/-norm approximation error and minimizing the ripple magnitudes of both passband and stopband, a multicriterion combination is employed as the design criterion to obtain the optimal IIR filter that can fit different performance requirements. The proposed HTGA approach is effectively applied to solve the multiparameter and multicriterion optimization problems of designing the digital low-pass (LP), high-pass (HP), bandpass (BP), and bandstop (BS) filters. In these studied problems, there are many parameters and numerous local optima so that these studied problems are challenging enough for evaluating the performances of any proposed GA-based approaches. The computational experiments show that the proposed HTGA approach can obtain better digital IIR filters than the existing GA-based method reported recently in the literature.  相似文献

This study presents a simple design for a mobile, single-sided nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) apparatus which uses the magnetic flux parallel to the magnetization direction of a single, disc-shaped permanent magnet polarized in radial direction. The stray magnetic field above the magnet is approximately parallel to the magnetization direction of the magnet and is utilized as the B0 magnetic field of the apparatus. The apparatus weighs 1.8 kg, has a compact structure and can be held in one's palm. The apparatus generates a B0 field strength of about 0.279 T at the center of apparatus surface and can acquire a clear Hahn echo signal of a pencil eraser block lying on the RF coil in one shot. Moreover, a strong static magnetic field gradient exists in the direction perpendicular to the apparatus surface. The strength of the static magnetic field gradient near the center of the apparatus surface is about 10.2 T/m; one-dimensional imaging of thin objects and liquid self-diffusion coefficient measurements can be performed therein. The available spatial resolution of the one-dimensional imaging experiments using a 5×5 mm horizontal sample area is about 200 μm. Several nondestructive inspection applications of the apparatus, including distinguishing between polyethylene grains of different densities, characterizing epoxy putties of distinct set times and evaluating the fat content percentages of milk powders, are also demonstrated. Compared with many previously published designs, the proposed design bears a simple structure and generates a B0 magnetic field parallel to the apparatus surface, simplifying apparatus construction and simultaneously rendering the selection of the radiofrequency coil relatively flexible.  相似文献

In this paper, a new similarity measure for fractal image compression (FIC) is introduced. In the proposed Huber fractal image compression (HFIC), the linear Huber regression technique from robust statistics is embedded into the encoding procedure of the fractal image compression. When the original image is corrupted by noises, we argue that the fractal image compression scheme should be insensitive to those noises presented in the corrupted image. This leads to a new concept of robust fractal image compression. The proposed HFIC is one of our attempts toward the design of robust fractal image compression. The main disadvantage of HFIC is the high computational cost. To overcome this drawback, particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique is utilized to reduce the searching time. Simulation results show that the proposed HFIC is robust against outliers in the image. Also, the PSO method can effectively reduce the encoding time while retaining the quality of the retrieved image.  相似文献

In this paper, a convenient signaling scheme, called orthogonal on–off BPSK (O3BPSK), along with a simple one-shot linear decorrelating detector (LDD) and a whitening Rake bank, is proposed for near–far resistant detection in asynchronous DS/CDMA systems. Based on the maximum multi-path spreading delay, a minimum duration of “off” is suggested, during which the temporally adjacent bits (TABs) that contain multi-user interference (MUI) and inter-symbol interference (ISI) from different users at the receiver are decoupled. The O3BPSK signaling scheme is combined with the whitening Rake receiver to preserve multi-path diversity gain in multi-path fading CDMA channels. The scheme offers low complexity, no detection delay, near–far resistance, and compensation for fading channels.
