柔性有源OLED显示器制造几点技术方面的考虑

AMOLED在柔性显示领域前途似锦。LG显示展示了一款全彩4in柔性AMOLED样机,衬底为80μm厚的不锈钢薄片,曲率达到5cm弯曲半径。本文就此项柔性显示技术所面临的挑战进行了探讨．包括柔性衬底衬底的传送、如何获得特性稳定可靠的TFT以使OLED的亮度和一致性适用于此项技术的商业化推广。     

Influence of un-cured PDMS chains in stamp using PDMS-based lithography

We present the compatibility of elastomeric stamp, poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS), with inks for non-photolithography. This ink limitation is important in considering the lamination of hydrophilic solution on the patterned ink surface using an elastomeric stamp. We focus on an increase of the hydrophobicity of the patterned surface due to diffusion of low molecular weight (LMW) silicone polymer chains. This hydrophobicity increases inversely with the PDMS–ink interaction parameter (χ), which is correlated with the solubility parameter (δ). This study's results translate into proposed design factors for ink used in the patterned functional layer for PDMS-based lithography. Both the XPS and the contact angle measurement show that the hydrophobicity can be increased by LMW PDMS chains transfer from stamps, and this increase can cause the expansion of the free volume in PDMS pores through a swelling effect.     

Asymmetric Electrical Properties of Corbino a-Si:H TFT and Concepts of Its Application to Flat Panel Displays

Inverted stagger hydrogenated-amorphous-silicon (a-Si:H) Corbino thin-film transistors (TFTs) were fabricated with a five-photomask process used in the processing of the active-matrix liquid-crystal displays (AM-LCD). The authors show that the a-Si:H Corbino TFT has the asymmetric electrical characteristics under different drain-bias conditions. To accommodate for these differences when the electrical device parameters are extracted, the authors developed asymmetric geometric factors. The ON-OFF current ratio can be significantly enhanced by choosing the outer electrode as the drain, while the field-effect mobility and threshold voltage are identical when different drain-bias conditions are used. Finally, the authors developed concepts of its possible application to AM-LCDs and active-matrix organic light-emitting displays     

Symmetric sign patterns with maximal inertias

The inertia of an n by n symmetric sign pattern is called maximal when it is not a proper subset of the inertia of another symmetric sign pattern of order n. In this note we classify all the maximal inertias for symmetric sign patterns of order n, and identify symmetric sign patterns with maximal inertias by using a rank-one perturbation.     

Smith Normal Form and acyclic matrices

An approach, based on the Smith Normal Form, is introduced to study the spectra of symmetric matrices with a given graph. The approach serves well to explain how the path cover number (resp. diameter of a tree T) is related to the maximal multiplicity MaxMult(T) occurring for an eigenvalue of a symmetric matrix whose graph is T (resp. the minimal number q(T) of distinct eigenvalues over the symmetric matrices whose graphs are T). The approach is also applied to a more general class of connected graphs G, not necessarily trees, in order to establish a lower bound on q(G).
