Phase-locked loops (PLL) in radio-frequency (RF) and mixed analog-digital integrated circuits (ICs) experience substrate coupling due to the simultaneous circuit switching and power/ground (P/G) noise which translate to a timing jitter. In this paper. an analysis of the PLL timing jitter due to substrate noise resulting from P/G noise and large-signal switching is presented. A general comprehensive stochastic model of the substrate and P/G noise sources in very large-scale integration (VLSI) circuits is proposed. This is followed by calculation of the phase noise of the constituent voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) in terms of the statistical properties of substrate and P/G noise. The PLL timing jitter is then predicted in response to the VCO phase noise. Our mathematical method is utilized to study the jitter-induced P/G noise in a CMOS PLL, which is designed and simulated in a 0.25-/spl mu/m standard CMOS process. A comparison between the results obtained by our mathematical model and those obtained by HSPICE simulation prove the accuracy of the predicted model. 相似文献

In this paper, the Vieta–Fibonacci wavelets as a new family of orthonormal wavelets are generated. An operational matrix concerning fractional integration of these wavelets is extracted. A numerical scheme is established based on these wavelets and their fractional integral matrix together with the collocation technique to solve fractional pantograph equations. The presented method reduces solving the problem under study into solving a system of algebraic equations. Several examples are provided to show the accuracy of the method. 相似文献

This brief presents the design and implementation of a 40-GHz flip-flop-based frequency divider which incorporates a novel latch topology with two distinct tail current sources and an enabled cross-coupled pair during the tracking mode. The proposed topology will speed up the latch operation and increase the driving capability. It is capable of performing frequency division at 40 GHz without shunt or series peaking inductors. We analytically investigate the effect of an external mirror on the stability of an injected semiconductor laser, the latter treated as injected damped oscillators. In the studied configuration, the injected semiconductor laser with an external mirror is under the influence of a chaotic oscillating optical signal that is generated by a similar semiconductor master laser. We derive our results in terms of the damping rate and resonance frequency. We show that the external mirror can eliminate the unstable modes of the injected laser at low frequencies. Furthermore, the mirror can enhance the damping of the oscillation modes of the injected semiconductor laser; consequently, the driven response of the injected laser may have a broad spectrum, even wider than that of the chaotic driving signal. We also show results for the bandwidths of the injection amplitude and phase increment as functions of the injection rate and feedback strength of the external mirror. In addition, we use bifurcation and time-series curves to describe the dynamical behavior of the injected laser. We identify the feedback strength of injected laser, relative to that of the master laser, which induces synchronization between the injected-laser oscillation modes and the master laser. 相似文献

The reusable acidic ionic liquid, 1-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate [Hmim][BF4], was found to be an effective catalyst for the insertion of α-diazoacetate into the N–H bonds of amines. The corresponding products were obtained in good yields and short reaction times via a simple procedure. The synthesis of several novel three-dentate sulfonamide alcohol ligands is described, starting from camphorsulfonyl chloride.
