An optimized integration process is reported requiring only three epitaxial growth steps for the fabrication of an OEIC encompassing a single-mode laser, a waveguide element, and fast photodiodes. The process was applied to the fabrication of a heterodyne receiver including a semi-insulating buried heterostructure (SIBH)-DFB-laser with an output power of 14 mW and a side-mode suppression ratio greater than 40 dB, a 3-dB coupler, and high-speed balanced photodiodes with a bandwidth of 9 GHz. The laser can also be used as a transmitter laser exhibiting a modulation bandwidth of 11 GHz.  相似文献

Systematic ab initio LCAO MO calculations with basis sets of increasing size have been performed to analyze the changes in relative stabilization energies of the two cyclic (D3h and C3h symmetry) and the noncyclic HF trimers. Results of semiempirical calculations (CNDO/2-FK and MINDO/2 methods) for the σ-π complex problem on protonated benzene are given and compared with previous ones. The semiempirical methods were chosen according to the agreement of their results with new theoretical energy data (EHF + Ekorrel) concerning the classical–nonclassical problem of protonated ethylene. By these methods the corresponding part of the energy surface of the benzene/H+ system is simulated. The stationary points of this surface are found by a gradient method with complete optimization of the geometry. On the basis of this method we determined the energy profile of a reaction coordinate between the classical (σ-complex) and nonclassical (π-complex) cation. The so called strong π-complex is a saddle point between two σ-complex minima and can be interpreted as transition state of 1,2-proton shifts. Hypotheses for possible minimum energy paths of electrophilic attacks in the given region of the surface are discussed.  相似文献

Summary Up to now calcium-selective electrodes with carrier-PVC-membranes have shown a need for correction during their application in controlling the process at an artificial kidney, for the presence of acetate anions leads to immense differences of measurements because of the anion interference. On the basis of experimental research the membrane characteristics could be changed in such a way that there is no need to correct the measurements when the electrodes are used during bicarbonate haemodialyses with 2 mmol/1 acetate. This was achieved by optimizing the ratio of the concentration of synthetic, electrically neutral carrier and lipophilic anion and by using plasticizer effects. A special membrane was developed in the same way for an application in dialysis solutions with 35 mmol/l acetate.  相似文献

100% Bragg diffraction of guided optical waves by surface acoustic waves in metal-diffused layers in LiNbO3 substrates has been observed. The predicted efficiency, which compares favourably with experimental measurement, is shown to arise mainly from the electro-optic contribution of the electric field associated with the yz acoustic surface waves instead of the clasto-optic contribution due to the strain or from the surface ripple components.  相似文献

In order to assist the interpretation of carbon-13 NMR spectra for molecules sorbed on solid surfaces, a theoretical analysis of resonance shifts was performed which were measured for simple alkenes and arenes in zeolites of type X and Y and on silica gel surfaces. Quantum chemical computations for simple models of adsorption complexes on the basis of CNDO and PCILO methods were combined with resonance shift calculations by means of the Ramsey theory and by employing an empirical formula to find out the most probable structures for the adsorption complexes.  相似文献

T1I-layers with simple cubic and f.c.c. structure have been prepared by evaporation of CsI and RbI. The optical absorption spectra of these layers have been measured for the first time and are shown to be very similar to those of simple cubic and f.c.c. T1C1 and T1Br, respectively. Relativistic band-structure calculations explain the optical spectra as well as these similarities.  相似文献

The amount of data generated by computer systems in Online Distance Learning (ODL) contains rich information. One example of this information we define as the Learner Learning Trail (LLT), which is the sequence of interactions between the students and the virtual environment. Another example is the Learner Learning Style (LLS), which is associated with the student behavior and choices during the learning process. This information can be used to identify learner behavior and learning style. We perceived, after the study of related literature, that the research field of learner diagnosis for ODL does not apply the conjoint use of LLT and LLS. In this article, we propose a model capable of integrating data generated from the behavior of students in ODL with cognitive aspects of them, such as their Learning Styles, by crossing LLT with LLS. We also propose the CPAD method (Collect, Preprocessing, Analysis, Diagnosis), which is implemented by collecting the raw data regarding learning activities, preprocessing the data into structured time sequences, analyzing the sequences regarding the learning styles and using this analysis to diagnose the learner behavior. We selected the dropout to investigate, once the dropout rate in ODL is a real problem in universities around the world. In addition, the dropout is a student decision which can be associated with previous students behaviors. We performed a study with 202 learners to evaluate if learning styles are capable of explaining aspects of the student behavior. The results suggest that Sequential/Global learning style dimension is more capable of explaining the dropout than the other dimensions. Also, we performed four classification experiments to verify how the dimensions of Felder-Silverman Learning Style Model influence the learner diagnosis. We perceived that the Sequential/Global dimension could provide a higher accuracy average with lower variation independently of the diagnosis technique.  相似文献
