Loss and noise figure of optical links transmitting microwave signals —e.g. for remote antennas in wireless communications — are dealt with.Conditions are rather general and include arbitrary matching conditions, shotnoise, and laser relative intensity noise. Specific and somewhat surprisingcharacteristics are derived. Among others, it is shown, that — likepassive, purely microwave systems — noise figure is not proportional toelectrical loss and it can be even lower than loss itself. Optical powershould be as low as possible — this limit is mainly determined by therequired dynamic range of the system. Loss and noise figure were measured inan experimental setup. Results of the measurements proved the theoreticalfindings rather well. Preliminary results on the transmission of 32TCM signalsover the link are briefly presented.  相似文献

Radio-over-Fiber (RoF) techniques enable transmission of microwave and millimeter-wave signals for long distances with small loss. Due to the limited signal handling capabilities of electrical/optical components, proper leveling is necessary in order to achieve the highest dynamic range while maintaining distortion at acceptable level. This paper investigates the nonlinear distortion of Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplex (OFDM) signals caused by a Radio-over-Fiber stage in the transmission chain if a Mach-Zehnder electro-optical modulator is employed.  相似文献

A true-time optical delay line for short radiofrequency (RF) pulses using path length dispersion is proposed. It is an optical implementation of the linear phase-shift theorem of the Fourier transformation. Acoustooptic signal processing is used for conversion into the optical frequency domain and for spatial Fourier decomposition of the pulse. The processing of the pulse is obtained by differentially phase shifting the particular frequency components, followed by a heterodyne reconversion into the RF domain. The optical system is intended to be used for delaying, but also for shaping and filtering of RF pulses, mainly in phased array radar antennas. Theoretical analysis of the system principle is given together with experimental results, demonstrating 2-μs time delay of 0.5-μs-long pulses with maximum optical phase shift of 1.2π. A detailed theoretical and experimental bandwidth analysis is carried out, pointing to the main technical problems and their solutions  相似文献

A significant part of the input data for planning the acoustical quality of building is the result of laboratory measurements. Detailed modelling of complex phenomena of sound transmission, like structure borne sound propagation can be solved based on on well planned laboratory experiences. However it seems the constructional details of the testing facilities have important effect on the measured results. The paper describes the process of planning the testing facilities of the Laboratory of Building Acoustics, TU Budapest, which operate as a standardised laboratory, a modelling “tool” for flanking transmission in research and development and which is utilised in teaching too. Some results and conclusions of recent experiments are also reported and discussed here related to the sound reduction index of a heavy brick wall without and with flanking transmission, to the impact sound insulation between the rest of a stair and an adjacent room and also to a possibility to determine the reduction of impact sound transmission of floor coverings.  相似文献

In the usual application of Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output (MIMO) and space–time coding (STC) the basis of the operation is a rich-scattering fading channel and a high density of links. In this paper a different situation: cellular millimeter-wave systems are investigated. It is shown that the MIMO concept can also have advantages in this case. Rain-induced fading characteristics and the concept of route diversity are briefly introduced. A route diversity system can be regarded as a parallel MIMO channel. Basic characteristics of these channels including capacity for various cases are investigated. Optimal codes are determined for space-time convolutional coding. Conceptual design of a route-time coding (RTC) system is shown. Simulation results on coding gain, based on empirical rain attenuation data are given.  相似文献

Two series of bis(α‐aminophosphonates) were synthesized by one‐pot three‐component reactions using 4‐phenylenediamine, an aldehyde (2 equiv) and a phosphite (2 equiv), or terephtalaldehyde, an amine (2 equiv), and a phosphite (2 equiv) together with propylphosphonic anhydride (T3P®) in both series as a coupling reagent. The bis(α‐aminophosphonates) were obtained in moderate to excellent yields. The condensations take place under mild conditions and the isolation of the products is simple.  相似文献

Homogeneous catalytic carbonylation of some representative steroidal substrates (alkenyl iodides/enol triflates 1-5) has been carried out in the presence of (E)-1-(4′-aminophenyl)-3-ferrocenyl-prop-2-en-1-one (6) as the nucleophile. The products 1a-4a were obtained in moderate to good yield (43-75%) and were characterised with various spectroscopic methods (1H-, 13C NMR, IR, MS).The solid state structure of 17-(N-(4′-((2-ferrocenyl-ethenyl)-carbonyl)-phenyl)-carbamoyl)-5α-androst-16-ene (1a) has also been determined by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

Cyclocondensation of 1-phenyl-3-ferrocenyl-2-propen-1-one (1) with RNHNH2 hydrazines and the substituent-dependent product distribution were investigated. With methylhydrazine, formation of two regioisomeric pairs of pyrazolines and pyrazoles was observed. The ratio of the products varied with the solvent and temperature. Transformation of 5-ferrocenyl-N-substituted pyrazolines into pyrazoles was systematically studied and DDQ was found to be the most suitable reagent. Mechanism of the cyclization reactions taking place under kinetic- and thermodynamic controls was supported with DFT calculations. The energy-dependence of the transformation of pyrazoline to pyrazole was investigated also by EI MS. Structure determination of the new compounds was performed by IR, MS and NMR methods including 2D-HMQC, 2D-HMBC, DEPT and DIFFNOE measurements. For two compounds structures were also proved by X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

General investigations and results from ratherextensive measurement campaigns are presented tocharacterize the propagation channel of SatellitePersonal Communication Systems; in the measurements the satellite was simulated by a helicopter andmeasurements at S band and L band were made. A newconceptual partitioning of the full link is introduced;the measrement equipment and the environment aredescribed. The major part of the paper deals withpresentation of the measurement results and theiranalyses. Measured and analyzed are average lossincluding satellite elevation and azimuth positiondependence, first-order statistics, Doppler characteristics, andwide-band characteristics.
