The edge computing model offers an ultimate platform to support scientific and real-time workflow-based applications over the edge of the network. However, scientific workflow scheduling and execution still facing challenges such as response time management and latency time. This leads to deal with the acquisition delay of servers, deployed at the edge of a network and reduces the overall completion time of workflow. Previous studies show that existing scheduling methods consider the static performance of the server and ignore the impact of resource acquisition delay when scheduling workflow tasks. Our proposed method presented a meta-heuristic algorithm to schedule the scientific workflow and minimize the overall completion time by properly managing the acquisition and transmission delays. We carry out extensive experiments and evaluations based on commercial clouds and various scientific workflow templates. The proposed method has approximately 7.7% better performance than the baseline algorithms, particularly in overall deadline constraint that gives a success rate.

Nanopolystyrene was used as a solid support for the covalent immobilization of Candida antarctica lipase B (CalB) using the photoreactive reagent 1-fluoro-2-nitro-4-azido benzene (FNAB) as a coupling reagent. The obtained derivative was then used as a biocatalyst in a microwave assisted esterification experiment. Factors such as contact time, pH, and enzyme concentration were investigated during immobilization. The hydrolytic activity, thermal, and operational stability of immobilized-CalB were determined. The maximum immobilized yield (218 μg/mg support) obtained at pH 6.8 exhibited optimum hydrolytic activity (4.42 × 103 mU p-nitrophenol/min). The thermal stability of CalB improved significantly when it was immobilized at pH 10, however, the immobilized yield was very low (93.6 μg/mg support). The immobilized-CalB prepared at pH 6.8 and pH 10 retained 50% of its initial activity after incubation periods of 14 and 16 h, respectively, at 60 ℃. The operational stability was investigated for the microwave assisted esterification of oleic acid with methanol. Immobilized-CalB retained 50% of its initial activity after 15 batch cycles in the microwave-assisted esterification. The esterification time was notably reduced under microwave irradiation. The combined use of a biocatalyst and microwave heating is thus an alternative total green synthesis process.  相似文献

A comparison of the inter- and intramolecular diyl trapping routes to linearly fused tricyclopentanoids is presented. In addition, several of the factors which are responsible for the stereoselectivity which is associated with the intramolecular process are examined and it is concluded that conformational rather than electronic (secondary orbital) factors play the dominant role. It is shown that gem methyl groups located on the acyclic chain which joins the diyl and diylophile (in reference to 32 and 35, but not to 47) have no practical effect upon the outcome of the trapping reaction. The intramolecular process is stereospecific with respect to diylophile geometry, and highly stereoselective with respect to the ring junction stereochemistry. Finally, an abortive attempt to synthesize the marine natural product Δ9(12)-capnellene (19) as well as a successful synthesis of the mold metabolite d,l- hirsutene (18) is presented.  相似文献

A novel sensitive fluorimetric method was investigated for the assay of fexofenadine hydrochloride (FEX) using silver nanoparticles (NPs) as a fluorescence probe. The NPs, which were prepared by chemical reduction of silver nitrate with sodium borohydride (reducing agent) in aqueous solution (without organic stabilizers) were water soluble, stable and had narrow emission band. The addition of drug to NPs solution caused considerable quenching of the emission band of silver NPs, which was likely due to the complexation of the drug to silver NPs. Under the optimum conditions, the quenched fluorescence (FL) intensity was linear with the concentration of FEX in the range of 1 × 10?7 to 2.5 × 10?5 mol L?1 (0.9985) with a detection limit of 1.2 × 10?8 mol L?1. The quenching mechanism of the studied drug on the emission band of silver NPs was explained by Stern–Volmer law. The developed method was applied to FEX determination in a pharmaceutical formulation (allegra tablets) and biological fluids (human serum and urine).  相似文献

The sequence of excitation of cardiac muscles is greatly affected by any abnormality in the conduction system of the heart. Epicardial mapping for the measurement of activation time at different points is helpful for the diagnosis of such abnormalities. For the measurement of activation time at different points of the epicardial surface, a number of sophisticated instruments, including microcomputer-based ones, have been reported. In this paper, we propose a simulation model for cognitive radio sensor networks (CRSNs) which is an attempt to combine the useful properties of wireless sensor networks and cognitive radio networks. The existing simulation models for cognitive radios cannot be extended for this purpose as they do not consider the strict energy constraint in wireless sensor networks. Our proposed model considers the limited energy available for wireless sensor nodes that constrain the spectrum sensing process—an unavoidable operation in cognitive radios. Our model has been thoroughly tested by performing experiments in different scenarios of CRSNs. The results generated by the model have been found accurate which can be considered for realization of CRSNs.  相似文献

Aim of the present work is to prepare zirconia nanofibers using microwave assisted sol–gel method. Both honey and microwave powers are employed as structure directing agents to improve the stability and reduce the crystallite size. Honey, acting as capping agent, prevents the particles from hard agglomeration. Soft agglomeration or less agglomeration results in smaller crystallite size that prevents the transformation of tetragonal to monoclinic phase resulting in stabilized tetragonal zirconia (t-ZrO2). Zirconium oxychloride is used as precursor of zirconium and deionized water as solvent. Effect of microwave powers, in the range of 100–900?W with interval of 200?W, on zirconia stabilization is observed. X-ray diffraction analysis shows the presence of phase pure t-ZrO2 at low microwave power ~?100?W with crystallite size ~?26?nm. Formation of phase pure t-ZrO2 at low microwave power is due to the presence of sufficient amount of honey to coat the zirconia crystals. Relatively higher x-ray density has been observed in case of phase pure t-ZrO2 at 100?W of microwave power. This high density and phase purity reveals the high value of hardness (~?1503?HV). Scanning electron microscopy analysis reveals the formation of well-separated nanofibers without agglomeration at 100?W. These nanofibers are purposed for bone implants and bone grafting. Structural transformation along with hard agglomeration is observed with increase in microwave powers from 500?W to 900?W. FTIR and Raman fundamental tetragonal bands, appearing at 490?cm?1 and 148?cm?1, respectively, confirm the formation of t-ZrO2 at low microwave power. Sample with phase purity exhibits high grain boundary resistance (1.95?MΩ) along with high dielectric constant (~?74) and low tangent loss (at log f?=?4.0). It is worth mentioning here that phase pure t-ZrO2 at very low microwave power (~100?W) with high density and well-separated nanofibers has been obtained without any post heat treatment.  相似文献
