A new method for the synthesis of functionalized maleimides

An effective route to novel maleimides is described, which involves the reaction of an enamine derived from the addition of a secondary amine to a dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylate with an arylsulfonyl isocyanate. These maleimides in solution indicate dynamic NMR because of restricted rotation around the carbon-nitrogen bond, resulting from conjugation of the side-chain nitrogen with the adjacent α,β-unsaturated ester group.     

Facile and Rapid Synthesis of 4,5-Dihydrothiazol-2-ylamine Derivatives via Reaction Between Thiourea and Diaroylacetylenes

Heterocyclic systems 4,5-dihydrothiazol-2-ylamine derivatives are synthesized via an intramolecular thioiminoformamide annulation reaction.     

SYNTHESIS OF DIASTEREOMERIC ETHYL 1-BENZOYL-6-(BROMOMETHYL)-2,2,2,4-TETRAPHENYL-3,7-DIOXA-2λ5-PHOSPHABICYCLO- [3.2.0]HEPT-4-ENE-6-CARBOXYLATE

Stable diastereomeric ethyl 1-benzoyl-6-(bromomethyl)-2,2,2,4-tetra- phenyl-3,7-dioxa-2λ ⁵ -phosphabicyclo[3.2.0]hept-4-ene-6-carboxylate was obtained in 98% yield from the reaction between dibenzoylacetylene as electron-deficient acetylenic compound, and ethyl 3-bromopyruvate in the presence of triphenylphosphine in dry ether.     

Stereoselective Synthesis of 1,5-Diionic Organophosphorus Compounds

The reactive 1:1 intermediate produced in the reaction between triphenylphosphine and alkyl propiolates or ethynyl phenyl ketone was trapped by isopropylidene Meldrum's acid (5-isopropylidene-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane-4,6-dione) to produce alkyl 3-(isopropylidenemalonate-5-yl-5-ylid)-3-methyl-2-triphenylphosphoniomethylidene-butanoates or 3-(isopropylidenemalonate-5-yl-5-ylid)-3-methyl-2-triphenylphosphoniomethylidene-butanone in 75-86% yield. These 1,5-diionic phosphorus betaines exist as (Z) geometrical isomer in CDCl 3 solution.     

Addition Reaction Between Trimethyl Phosphite and Dibenzoylacetylene in the Presence of SH- or NH-Acids

The reactive 1:1 intermediate produced in the addition reaction between trimethyl-phosphite and dibenzoylacetylene was trapped by SH- or NH-acids such as 4-nitroimidazole, 4-methyl-5-nitroimidazole, succinimide, or mercaptoacetic acid to produce 2-substituted 1,4-diphenylbutane-1,4-diones.     

Synthesis of 2‐Aryl‐5‐oxo‐4‐[2‐(phenylmethylidene)hydrazino]‐2,5‐dihydro‐1H‐pyrrole‐3‐carboxylates by the Reaction between Hydrazones,Acetylenedicarboxylates, and 1‐Aryl‐N,N′‐bis(arylmethylidene)methanediamines

An efficient approach for the preparation of functionalized 2‐aryl‐2,5‐dihydro‐5‐oxo‐4‐[2‐(phenylmethylidene)hydrazino]‐1H‐pyrroles is described. The four‐component reaction between aldehydes, NH₂NH₂?H₂O, dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates, and 1‐aryl‐N,N′‐bis(arylmethylidene)methanediamines proceeds in EtOH under reflux in good‐to‐excellent yields (Scheme 1). The structures of 4 were corroborated spectroscopically (IR, ¹H‐ and ¹³C‐NMR, and EI‐MS, and, in the case of 4f , by X‐ray crystallography). A plausible mechanism for this type of reaction is proposed (Scheme 2).     

Piperidine–iodine a dual system catalyst for synthesis of coumarin bearing pyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxaline derivatives via a one-pot three-component reaction

The synthesis of 3-(4-alkyl-4,5-dihydropyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxalin-4-yl)-2H-chromen-2-one derivatives by a three-component reaction of salicylaldehyde, β-keto esters, and 1-(2-aminophenyl)pyrrole using piperidine–iodine as a dual system catalyst is reported. Good yields, mild reaction conditions, and ease of handling are the main aspects of the method. The structural assignments are supported by ¹H NMR, ¹³C NMR, and X-ray crystallography data.     

Accurate analysis of spectral regrowth of nonlinear power amplifier driven by cyclostationary modulated signals

In this paper we present an exact analytical expression to calculate the spectral regrowth at the output of a nonlinear power amplifier (PA) using the higher order cumulants and Poisson summation formula. This PA is driven by the filtered digitally modulated signals. To improve the accuracy of the calculations, the cyclosationarity of the input signal is considered. Moreover, closed-form expressions for the 1-dB compression and saturation points are extracted as a function of the PA model parameters, higher order statistics of the input signal, and the transfer function of the pulse shaping filter. In addition, an analytical expression for the adjacent channel power (ACP) and a closed-form expression of the ACP ratio are derived. This is followed by investigation of the effect of the PA nonlinearity on the performance of receiver. Simulation studies are carried out to verify the accuracy of the derived expressions. Excellent agreement between the analytical and simulation results is achieved.     

A Simple Synthesis of Stable 1,4-Diionic Pyridinium Betaines

 Protonation of the reactive intermediate produced in the reaction between pyridine and dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates by strong CH-acids such as N,N′-dimethylbarbituric acid, Meldrum’s acid, or indane-1,3-dione leads to a vinylpyridinium cation which undergoes an addition reaction with the enolate anion of the CH-acid to produce stable 1,4-diionic pyridinium betaines in good yields.
